The "Haflinger", made 1959-74 by Austrian manufacturer Steyr-Puch was also a very small 4WD Army vehicle, used by the Austrian and the Swiss Army. Check it out.
I went to magnetic island, Australia over 20 years ago. They had them all over. They also hired them for tourists. Never seen them before, I haven’t seen them since.
@@jimjiminy5836 I believe there electric Mokes now. I’m not sure if these are old ones revamped, or if someone is making new ones. They were originally intended for the military but never caught on, so most of them ended up in tourist locations.
Was working with a Cannuck some years ago and we were laughing at his Canadian Forces over in the middle east when the news showed the US Military rolling through in their Humvee's, Abrahms Tanks, and Bradley's, then the Canadian troops were bringing up the rear in about 15-20 of these Gators! We got a good chuckle out of that!
You mean back when all us state side where getting butthurt that the HMMVWs didn't have armor plating... and the canadians were putting around on 13HP!
"The Badger is made to bust through walls... The Badger is only 32 inches wide, perfect for driving through doors." Why would it matter if it can't fit through a door, it can simply crash through the wall.
Your video has helped me a lot. I am very curious about the topic of the new light vehicle. But what has especially helped me was the M274. I had seen it in a video of the army of my country, but no matter how much I searched for information, I couldn't find the name of the vehicle. Thanks
bro its literally a RZR 1000 with more tubing and stiffer roll bars and suspension with lower gearing that makes it go slower then 100-120mph so yeah the itv is literally an atv
Toyota's are used in some capacity by 70 percent of the world's Militarys, also, check out whistlin diesels hilux tests for more smiles. Jeremy Clarkson is still my favorite TV/car guy.
The quad bikes with the grenade launcher on the back should be big enough for two. So it's not stop be dormant in a situation shoot a run. Having to restart and go again.
Sorry, but your data on the dpv is incorrect. It was originally tested as the fav (fast attack vehicle) by 2/1 infantry battalion, 9th inf div, ft Lewis wa in the late 70s early 80s.
The war in Ukraine has shown that building 100 of these for each tank you would have built is a much better means of spending money. Each should have a 250 mile range, an attached machine gun, attached grenade launcher, and an anti-tank weapon such as the Javelin with one in the barrel and three more in storage, two stingers, carry 3 soldiers including the driver and a top speed of 50 mph. These could travel a lot of miles quickly and be much easier to hide from drones. Others, specifically designed with weapons to detect and take out drones should accompany these. Laser technology will be the death of drones. Put these utvs in battle groups of 25 with 5 of those being the anti drone model and you have yourself a very lethal grouping.
You could mount an anti drone Phalanx on it too like a mini version of what is on battleships for anti missle... if you had a bunch you could have a varaity of options mounted on differnet ones and send them to the needed areas etc... maximizing your effectiveness per $ spent. Granted this is against the philisophy we follow today where we try to minimize risk to the Nth degree. It is also about the right size to haul a JPBDS or JLSCAD (anti BIO / anti airborne chemical detection units) they usually get towed around by HMMWVs.
nothing new It was used by talibans by vietcong. By the spanish against Napoleon. Thats called guerrilla Warfare you can do It with a Horse with motorcicle with a quad car bicile using forest jungle caves mountains anything that can make you hit hard and scape fast. If talibans hard those weapons USA would have been oficially smashed because of the terrain in Afganistán. In ukranian war what😃WAR SHOWED us... not propaganda from rusia or NATO, what proved is that artillery drones are better. Ukranians have been smashed by russians in bahmut and those little cars did nothing in a flat land like ukraine
nope spending zero on ukraine would have been much better. I want my money back and there should be negotiations now! you people cheer for war like crazed animals! disgracefull hour well the newest propaganda works on you people...
The old-style-sovjet-mass-attack is propably victorious, ok for drones, but the expected loss rates are not ok for humans. And when the countermeasures come, it is suicide.
Makes sense read a book years ago about guys in Texas fighting people from somewhere south of them with atv`s and hunting rifles and kicking them around badly so a well trained military should be even more successful 👍
You know how you tell if a vehicle is Military spec, use a magnet on the shell and Frame, if it sticks, it's Mil Spec, if it doesn't, it's Chinese Made Garbage...
The devil is the wrong Details!! You lost me at Vtwin. Polaris makes Parallel twin. If it looks like a Polaris.. Or textron.. It's Prob junk. Or both companies should be selling these to the civi's. if they are that much more reliable.
1st vehicle is a MRZR not a Prowler. The towing capacity is not 3k it’s 1500. And it couldn’t go 75mph unless you dropped it from a plane. Lol They aren’t really that much stronger than a normal RZR either.

...so was the West German Bundeswehr`s foldable mini jeep *KraKa* that was supposed to be parachuted along with the airborne troops that used it.
Nerds
Just got done looking it up, it looks like an amphibious kei truck lol. I kinda want one
The 1960s Mini Moke was just ahead of its time 🙂

1:41 is it me or the driver on the bottom got some crazy camo
Great episode. I enjoy it. Thank you for sharing
I smashed that like button. I like how you do the conversion
They reinvented the Jeep 🤣 and the Dune Buggy 👍
Love it, a fun way to get shot at.
The mule is a infantry godsend for resupply of ammo and grub.
I saw one for sale, they wanted 10k for it, sounds crazy lol
@@everettstormyI saw one for 6, if it was closer to 2-3 I would be very tempted.

Some walls it probably can’t go through!
@@gregorygilliam8339 Most european houses would stand up to the badger, including any modern front door.
It ll only go through card-bord walls of american houses ... Its made to use against its citizens.

So glad you told me VW was an auto manufacturer from Germany - would never have known !
Like the old jeep from mash.
Open , light 4x4 and 4 person use.
Great video
i have a 6x6 gator and it is a lifesaver although the chain is unreliable as hell
They’re also very fun to drive
It's an ATV (All-Terrain Vehicule). used for military purposes.
It’s actually a bicycle that the us uses
Ooh, I have an idea. How about something that does everything this does, at a much faster speed, at a fraction of the price - wait for it - A JEEP!

The badger looks like it could roll sideway any moment 😂
It would've look better and wilder if it had more width..
Oooo!!!! Can it tow a mortar?
I’m in love!
Yeah, a machine gun with a trailer that tows a mortar!
The Singaporean Spider ATV is missed here ☹️
Shoutout to 2BCT for somehow smashing that shit to pieces with a burn in! Airborne!
1:48 did i just see the john Deer gator driving itself?
They look fun.
You'll pry my old Willy's Jeep from my cold dead hands 😂
Sorry those are just Polaris rzrs. Low end rzrs at that with different springs and different roll bars.
Is it just me, or is the driver missing @ 1:40 ?
Do you guys see a driver?
Prowler, more like Polaris razor
You should include Toyota Pick up trucks. It is battle proven, and it has been tested intensively by Top Gear, included burning, crashing, exploding.
Agreed!!!
Every rag tag militias favorite all round vehicle :-)

It es excellent
When i was in we got rid of things like these due to lack of survivability
So...they replaced the Growler with the Prowler. Nice.
military golf cart fantastic

more like over 2000 per tank

Give it a new name and keep milking that OP defense budget.
Honda trail 90 would be great for military
FYI the little black rig better be fire proof.
The dpv aka "light attack" vehicle " 3rd Bde 9th ID " motorized infantry
My First duty assignment
I hate to tell you the "Prowler" is a Polaris Government & Defense MRZR and you showed a DAGOR in one of those clips
Todo lo bueno especial para estos casos
The badger only works in cheap houses.
Not to mention Polaris makes airless tires for them
I think you forgot the German Bundeswehr Wiesel 1...
They need to put a turbo on the John Deere diesel
They may be better than what's on the market but they have 0 protection for the soldiers which is the most important part...
That Mule, what a great vehicle, want one!
Makes sense read a book years ago about guys in Texas fighting people from somewhere south of them with atv`s and hunting rifles and kicking them around badly so a well trained military should be even more successful 👍
Side by side is what they’re called
Just modify a Citroen hatchback with better tires and it will beat all those ATVs! 😂
I was sure the US army had dune buggies back in the 1970s
Where I can buy this?
It's not a ATV. But it's just a over paid ATV
Tip that mini tank over and he's skrewed!
non-aiming series PK and bye-bye marine!
It's called a UTV.
best ambush risk vehicles in the jungle..
Needs a wider wheel base
The US army uses the MV7 ATV by Polaris. Besides motorcycles, this is I believe the smallest army vehicle in use.
You left out the MV850 That's very disappointing
I want the thing in the cover
"These 10 things are all smallest"
Step away from the Chenoweth mam...
No matter what you want to call it ITS STILL A UTV,
So they retire the Jeep for the Humvee.. only to reinstate something of similar size for a similar job the Jeep was originally designed for..
It’s a folding push bike that USA uses
Is it belt or chain driven
strap a LMG on that thing and its dangerous
Seriusly!
Where is the thumbnail one?
Nothing can beat the superior Toyota pick up

Mini Warthog
What is its price
Looks like the badger can be tipped over by two people

"its not an utv", starts telling us how its an utv and how its built like an utv...
Most of these where ATVs/UTVs.
Military motorcycles are smaller vehicles.
The smallest mil spec vehicle may be the skateboard.
The Prowler is a UTV not an ATV
What the Vehicle Name On the Thumbnail...?
Uhm, this is not really the "smallest Military Vehicle", as the Motorcycle/Dirt bike has that covered.
They would be better if they were made by Can-Am
Atv... all terrain vehicle
Looks like a damn razor to me. And I guarantee you mine will smoke it out crawl it and go longer and carry more or wait
Ok, I'll bite. What are we waiting for?
literally just a built SxS

The badger isn't a tank...
1.42 sec drive by himself wtf
