Jody, your story is almost word for word what happened to me. I was 58 yrs old in 2017 and I was bleeding constantly. My gyno first tried a D and C and I felt great for 3 months, then it all came back with a vengeance! My gyno said I needed to have a complete hysterectomy, which I did, in May of 2017. It was the best decision I ever made! At my first post op check up, my gyno told me that "you were a mess in there". I did have a fibroid that took up my entire uterus, just like you mentioned. Jody, you will be so glad that you had the surgery, life will be so much better and you will never have to worry about bleeding ever again! You are in my prayers, Hun. Don't worry about the procedure, they only make little one inch incisions and basically pull everything out through the vagina, at least that was how mine was done. You will be fine!
The same thing happened to me. I had heavy periods since day one. I lived with this for years, finally in 2000 I had a partial hysterectomy where they take the uterus and leave the ovaries. It was the best decision of my life! No more worries about heavy bleeding or having to plan my life around my period date. Good luck with everything and God bless.

Jody Iam a scrub nurse of 42 years and this can be normal. I myself had a DC and biopsy. Am retired now. Drs. Will help you and figure out what to do next. Iam sure your surgeon will provide the best care for you. Surgeries now are so much better than a long time ago. Iam sure you’re in good hands. Jody, don't give up! I had to have a hysterectomy when I was 40, and I've never looked back ( I'm 69 this month). It does take a while to recover, but believe me it's the best thing to have happen. Once you recover you will feel 100% better!
Jody so sorry what you are going through. My mother and my mother-in-law both had Heavy Bleeding. They both had hysterectomies which was a blessing to both of them . I went through something similar about 2 years ago and again last year and it was really hard having to deal with transfusions. Not once but twice so I completely get you. jody you will be fine . a year ago I had the same symptoms first a dc then a full blown hystrarectomy..at 68..first time in the or and had never been sick..and all I can say is your in and out in most cases after 24 hours and up before you know it...its all done robotic,,biopsies was 1 percent cancer no treatment and all was removed....I know the word hysterectomy is scary but you will heal just fine..27 days later I went to my niece bridal shower...also not having kids family came to help out however I made them leave after 2 days I was ok and was moving around slowly but felt ok...good luck and keep us posted.

I had a year long heavy period that was horrible. I finally was put on menopause drugs that didn't help. After a dnc I had to get a hysterectomy. I was only 32.
Hello my friend! I'm sorry to hear that your not well. Like you I to have had the same problem. I had a hysterectomy at age 50. My doctor suggested seeing if we could avoid it by doing a D and C, next step was thermal ablation and the last was the hysterectomy. This was done step by step in a time period of a year. My advice is this will be the best thing you can ever do. Please give it time to make the decision of leaving UA-cam. I will watch old videos if this helps. Feel better and try to take the earliest appointment for the surgery. ❤
Thank you Phyllis. I was told of a couple of options but not guaranteed the bleeding wouldn't start again so my doctor said the hysterectomy is the best option. I would rather have the surgery this month.

Jody, I am so sorry that you are having these health problems. I hope the surgery will solve your problem. I had a similar problem years ago and a Hysterectomy solved the problem. Please take care of yourself. I think you will feel better once you get this behind you.
Ask them to give you a thyroid panel. Make sure your doctor at least give you Tsh, Free T3 and Free T4. Most doctor give just tsh and that won't tell the whole picture.

I am so sorry to hear that you have been feeling so poorly! I have been in the same boat as you, fibroid cysts completely filling my uterus and one attached to the back as well. I had to have a hysterectomy as well. Six or eight months of bleeding and cramps everyday was no fun! It was a hard recovery for me, but I don't regret it at all. I was 40 when I had it. So that was 25 years ago. I will pray that you recovery goes well, and we understand if you have to quit youtube either for a while or for good. You have to do what is best for your health.

Oh Jody I’m sorry you’re going thru this. 30 yers ago at the age of 37 I opted for. Complete hysterectomy. Doctors discovered I had the worse case of endometriosis they have ever seen without being able to see it visibly. The best decision I have ever done. Blessings to you

I had to have my hysterectomy when I was 33. I had tumors the size of grapefruits inside me. I’ve never had a problem since and I am 80 now. You will be fine. We will cover you in prayer. 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️

Jody, I was 45 when I had a hysterectomy. I had my monthly all the time for about 8 months. I would start, 12:02 have it about 15 days, and it would end . Within 3 or 4 days, I'd start all over again, I was tired, drained, and miserable. All the will working as a nurses aid. One Sunday, it started at work, came through my clothes, luckily I lived close to the facility where I was working. I left early so I could clean myself up all the while wearing 2 pads. My husband was in the garage when I drove up. I got out of the car, and my pants were a mess. He simply said fix that tomorrow morning. I called the doctor first thing and was examined, most embarrassed when you have your monthly. It was determined that my Fibroids were continuing shedding. A hysterectomy was in order. It was done in December. I got thru recovery with lots of help from my husband and teenagers. It actually took me three months to discover I didn't do the monthly thing anymore. I'm now 70. Unbelievably, it was the best thing that ever happened to me. I felt like a new woman. Don't be afraid to do it. It will be ok. I'll pray for a great recovery and see ya on UA-cam. Don't give up. I hate to see you leave UA-cam because I enjoy your DIY’s and your decorating. But you need to take care of yourself first as long as it takes and then then when you’re ready if you feel like coming back, please come back. When I was 44 I had several fibroid tumors and it was so painful. I had a hysterectomy at that time and sure it was six weeks recovery but I’m glad I had it. Hi Jody! Soo sorry about your health issues and your Holiday. Just know I went thru a total hysterectomy at 46 yrs old. I felt so much better afterward. The recovery was 6 weeks. I felt better and was able to do a lot before the 6 weeks. Research HRT hormone replacement. There is Dr. Mary Claire Haver on You Tube. She is womans specialist on HRT. When resting, go listen to her. She has helped me and what questions to present to my doctor. I will keep you in my prayers. Rest and trust in the Lord. ❤

I went through something similar 20 years ago. Had a hysterectomy. Best thing since sliced bread. At that time was a 6 week recovery. Do make sure you rest during recovery time. After that, you will feel like a new person. :). Wishing you the best and speedy recovery.

I wish they weren’t waiting so long! That is scary. I had a hysterectomy several years ago by a surgeon who specialized in the robotic Da Vinci machine. It was a breeze. It was easier to recover than a regular laparoscopic surgery. Way faster and easier than my gall bladder removal. You will be SO much better and wonder why you waited so long. I also had a bladder lift & rectocele fixed at the same time so had to stay one night, but if I’d just had the hysterectomy alone, said it would have been out-patient. Prayers for a speedy recovery. I have absolutely been in your shoes! The bleeding, the weakness, the clots. I went 10 months of bleeding with 1 week per month between a period. I was to the point of almost needing a transfusion but in the end did not. My issue was not a fibroid but a tumor and I received a complete hysterectomy. It was cancerous so I had more treatment of radiation.That was 2012. It did return again on my original scar 8 years later in 2020. More radiation. Today I am doing well. Still seeing several drs some yearly some 6 mos apart. I also had my thyroid removed in 2021 also cancer. Not trying to scare you death just saying Ive been there. Im glad you saw your Drs. Immediately and so far they are handling it. As for UA-cam you do what works for you. If you are a person who bounces right back then you make a decision based on that. If you want to take some time to reaccess once your surgery is done its totally up to you! I love your videos and will keep the notifications on. Please let us know an update on your surgery dates etc. I will keep you in my prayers because I totally believe in the power of prayer! ❤❤❤

jody you will be fine . a year ago I had the same symptoms first a dc then a full blown hystrarectomy..at 68..first time in the or and had never been sick..and all I can say is your in and out in most cases after 24 hours and up before you know it...its all done robotic,,biopsies was 1 percent cancer no treatment and all was removed....I know the word hysterectomy is scary but you will heal just fine..27 days later I went to my niece bridal shower...also not having kids family came to help out however I made them leave after 2 days I was ok and was moving around slowly but felt ok...good luck and keep us posted.

I had a year long heavy period that was horrible. I finally was put on menopause drugs that didn't help. After a dnc I had to get a hysterectomy. I was only 32.

Hello my friend! I'm sorry to hear that your not well. Like you I to have had the same problem. I had a hysterectomy at age 50. My doctor suggested seeing if we could avoid it by doing a D and C, next step was thermal ablation and the last was the hysterectomy. This was done step by step in a time period of a year. My advice is this will be the best thing you can ever do.
Please give it time to make the decision of leaving UA-cam. I will watch old videos if this helps. Feel better and try to take the earliest appointment for the surgery. ❤

Have they given you a thyroid panel test?
I was like you and they couldn't figure what was going on. I also had a fibroid. The end it was my thyroid.
No they didn't. I had the ultrasound and was told is was from my fibroid.
Ask them to give you a thyroid panel. Make sure your doctor at least give you Tsh, Free T3 and Free T4. Most doctor give just tsh and that won't tell the whole picture.

I am so sorry to hear that you have been feeling so poorly! I have been in the same boat as you, fibroid cysts completely filling my uterus and one attached to the back as well. I had to have a hysterectomy as well. Six or eight months of bleeding and cramps everyday was no fun! It was a hard recovery for me, but I don't regret it at all. I was 40 when I had it. So that was 25 years ago. I will pray that you recovery goes well, and we understand if you have to quit youtube either for a while or for good. You have to do what is best for your health.

Oh Jody I’m sorry you’re going thru this. 30 yers ago at the age of 37 I opted for. Complete hysterectomy. Doctors discovered I had the worse case of endometriosis they have ever seen without being able to see it visibly. The best decision I have ever done. Blessings to you

Jody, I was 45 when I had a hysterectomy. I had my monthly all the time for about 8 months. I would start, 12:02 have it about 15 days, and it would end . Within 3 or 4 days, I'd start all over again, I was tired, drained, and miserable. All the will working as a nurses aid. One Sunday, it started at work, came through my clothes, luckily I lived close to the facility where I was working. I left early so I could clean myself up all the while wearing 2 pads. My husband was in the garage when I drove up. I got out of the car, and my pants were a mess. He simply said fix that tomorrow morning. I called the doctor first thing and was examined, most embarrassed when you have your monthly. It was determined that my Fibroids were continuing shedding. A hysterectomy was in order. It was done in December. I got thru recovery with lots of help from my husband and teenagers. It actually took me three months to discover I didn't do the monthly thing anymore. I'm now 70. Unbelievably, it was the best thing that ever happened to me. I felt like a new woman. Don't be afraid to do it. It will be ok. I'll pray for a great recovery and see ya on UA-cam. Don't give up. I hate to see you leave UA-cam because I enjoy your DIY’s and your decorating. But you need to take care of yourself first as long as it takes and then then when you’re ready if you feel like coming back, please come back. When I was 44 I had several fibroid tumors and it was so painful. I had a hysterectomy at that time and sure it was six weeks recovery but I’m glad I had it. Hi Jody! Soo sorry about your health issues and your Holiday. Just know I went thru a total hysterectomy at 46 yrs old. I felt so much better afterward. The recovery was 6 weeks. I felt better and was able to do a lot before the 6 weeks. Research HRT hormone replacement. There is Dr. Mary Claire Haver on You Tube. She is womans specialist on HRT. When resting, go listen to her. She has helped me and what questions to present to my doctor. I will keep you in my prayers. Rest and trust in the Lord. ❤

I went through something similar 20 years ago. Had a hysterectomy. Best thing since sliced bread. At that time was a 6 week recovery. Do make sure you rest during recovery time. After that, you will feel like a new person. :). Wishing you the best and speedy recovery.

I wish they weren’t waiting so long! That is scary. I had a hysterectomy several years ago by a surgeon who specialized in the robotic Da Vinci machine. It was a breeze. It was easier to recover than a regular laparoscopic surgery. Way faster and easier than my gall bladder removal. You will be SO much better and wonder why you waited so long. I also had a bladder lift & rectocele fixed at the same time so had to stay one night, but if I’d just had the hysterectomy alone, said it would have been out-patient. Prayers for a speedy recovery. I have absolutely been in your shoes! The bleeding, the weakness, the clots. I went 10 months of bleeding with 1 week per month between a period. I was to the point of almost needing a transfusion but in the end did not. My issue was not a fibroid but a tumor and I received a complete hysterectomy. It was cancerous so I had more treatment of radiation.That was 2012. It did return again on my original scar 8 years later in 2020. More radiation. Today I am doing well. Still seeing several drs some yearly some 6 mos apart. I also had my thyroid removed in 2021 also cancer. Not trying to scare you death just saying Ive been there. Im glad you saw your Drs. Immediately and so far they are handling it. As for UA-cam you do what works for you. If you are a person who bounces right back then you make a decision based on that. If you want to take some time to reaccess once your surgery is done its totally up to you! I love your videos and will keep the notifications on. Please let us know an update on your surgery dates etc. I will keep you in my prayers because I totally believe in the power of prayer! ❤❤❤
