@@dignifiedspace1706 bro music is subjective don’t get so pressed about it 💀 Even then at least appreciate the fact that Dull Knives is very serious and has a pretty sad topic.
This song was both the opener AND the closer for their shows during the current tour. It’s odd because you usually kick off with your most powerful and thunderous track, but Imagine Dragons, in choosing this one, went for power on an emotional level as opposed to musical. It works beautifully in both places. (In the ending, it is part of a medley that begins with The Fall, which moves into Walking The Wire, and then ends with My Life.)
This is actually so Imagine Dragons to do. They are big on emotion and mental health. i hope i can go to one of their concerts and experience it myself, but i am honestly not suprised by them doing this.
YES!! I just went to their concert on April 24th and I just got CHILLS when he showed up at the front of the stage and started singing this song. And when they ended with this song and the confetti shoots out- I just felt like this whole concert was an exploration of life. How sometimes we feel invincible, sometimes we're broken, sometimes we need someone to lean on. Life is ugly, but it is also beautiful and worth living. It was epic and poetic, and only Imagine Dragons could do something quite like this and make it epic. And the fact that they also brought in songs like Amsterdam, Next to You, and Demons? It all just worked SO well.
This song made me cry immediately and I’ve only ever done that with a couple of songs in my entire life. I heard it right after my dad passed suddenly 6 hours before he was to arrive for a visit after years living 3000 miles apart. My mother was hurting and lashed out and did so much more damage than the pain our family was already end and there’s been no closure and a year later the pain continues to be raw. 😢❤
I got so excited when I saw the thumbnail, I thought you reacted to “My Life” live, dude if you think his vocals are impressive in this song, you have to watch a live performance or an acoustic one, like the video in the thumbnail
I love this whole album, even though a lot of people don't like it so much. Honestly I'm okay with any song from Mercury act I you choose to react next cause they all mean so much to me.
I'm not sure if you have reacted to Rag'n'Bone Human and Rag'n'Bone Anywhere But Here with Pink. This man's voice is exceptional!!!!! We all know Pink's voice us phenomenal!!!
I could listen to them all day... Such a heartrending song. It hits a bit close to home. This hit me as I'm coming out as non-binary and the struggles from it. So meaningful.
Lonely, giants, it’s ok, dull knives, no time for toxic people, enemy, bones. There are some songs from them that I can recommend to you, but before you listen, you should know that they became even more experimental, and those songs are very different from each other.
These are some recomendations : The Streets Empire of the sun Franz Ferdinand The Strokes Bat for lashes Florence and the Machine Darkness The National Black Keys Bon Iver Biffy Clyro Keane
This is the only one of like three songs on their new album that I like haha. To me they've been going a little bit downhill ever since evolve. That being said, this is one of the best songs I've ever written. Edit: I was doing text to voice on my phone, and it changed they've to I've 😂😂
I agree. I don't like their new stuff like I used to love previous songs. It's like they are going now into completely different direction than I like in music.
I think they're just trying to explore places they've never been before. One of the few critiques I have on this album is that it lacks originality a bit. Unlike their previous album, that's full of energy and different in its own way (one of the reasons I fell in love with them). I applaud Dan for being honest in this album though. It's a good way to channel your emotions through music. Although, some lyrics on certain songs are pretty ehhh. But I get the point. Anyway, I still like Mercury a lot, maybe even a bit more than Evolve and Origins. But I can see why you would think that.
Dan’s vocals are beautiful? You have to listen to “giants” and “dull knives”, they are very emotional in this.
Look I mostly like this new album, but Dull Knives is trash come on. Giants is good though
@@dignifiedspace1706 well, it’s just my opinion.
