How to HELP my Dachshund with barking when being left

Leave your dachshund puppy or older dog with a toy, stuffed kong, something that will keep them occupied just briefly and take a few steps away from them. Build up successful SHORT departures to help them learn to be alone. Practice practice practice.

Make sure they are exercised, a slow sniffing walk is much better than a high energy walk playing ball Make sure they have been to the toilet they need to be able to settle down
