If he didn’t make an effort to return the lost product to its rightful owner he would’ve been committing theft. Any lost item(s) with value that are found isn’t finders keepers. Legally there has to be a reasonable effort to return the money. If the money isn’t claimed then the finder can legally keep his/her findings. The kid has a pure heart and I hope no one ruins that pureness for him.
He honestly couldve gotten away with 10-20k and left the rest withoutbsaying nothing. 135k is definitely too big but maybe even half of that would be alright if he wasnt dumb with it
