I didn't know what color was playing or where the home board was. I guess I *should* have somehow, but I think just saying "orange to play, moving this direction [with a hand signal]" would really help some of use. Truly excellent 5 minute video, Marc!
I always have a tough time with that when looking at random problems online as well. there should be common nomenclature "Game is playing with Orange clockwise to the viewer"
It was confusing that you didn't say you were orange. You were standing on the blue side of the board and it was logical to think that blue had the 66 to play.
Love your videos, Marc and Backgammon Galaxy. But I agree with some comments here, you should tell us which color (and direction) you're playing before you put us on a quiz. I was a bit confused. Please keep posting these videos.
On Backgammon Galaxy online the double 6 would probably be used to prevent you rentering the game if you were on the bar! Especially if you don't spend any money on site. If you only played BGG you would think it was a common occurrence but play real games & you realize it's not!
No matter what at least 1 pip/checker was coming out, i think i might have tried 3 to 16 & 2 pips/checkers to 18 or 3 to 16 & 2 pips/checkers from 17 to 23 hit

The dice was on the right-hand side of the board, thus, it is orange to play here.
And blue's clock was running!
@@joshuaposthuma3139 it is a quiz, not a tournament game, so the clock in this case is inconsequential.
@@jacques42 Either way, confusion could have been avoided
@PhilSimborg - thanks for your comment. I was going to make a similar comment, but your comment carries weight because of who you are.

Noted!
Thanks for your excellent video, Marc…you’re awesome!
Loving these quizzes
oh my god, and i was thinking from your position (blue) and than you play with the orange stones

Great tip Marc. You're the best!
Quality. Thank you.
Hey Marc, did that collaboration with Zak Kitnick ever come out?
Ctrl+Shift+6
22/10, 13/7(2). Running with two checkers - 22/10, 21/9 - is the most stupid move.
before watching the rest of the video, my answer is 66: 22/10, 13/7 (2)
