Hello all! This video is more for the purpose of showing how much Stormy is unsure and how I help correct her and earn her trust on the grooming table. You can see her transform through the video and start standing on her own better. If you need a more detailed grooming tutorial I recommend some of my other videos that I go into detail. I didn’t want this video too long for you all or redundant. Just wanted it to be an encouragement that even if they don’t like it at the start they quickly learn! 🐾💜 ua-cam.com/play/PLtm94oeIDuDTULuYjPw7JoOO3tQVctTzW.html
Yes I have a few of my older videos. The grooming ones. This video was more to show how they fight and are unsure but by the end you can earn their trust. I get a lot of messages about how their dog doesn’t stay still like mine. So I wanted to show it doesn’t start off that way. ua-cam.com/play/PLtm94oeIDuDTULuYjPw7JoOO3tQVctTzW.html
Got my little Havanese a month ago she turned 4 mos old this week, for about 4 weeks she was in a home that did not have time to train her, we had to potty train her, teeth brushing and brushing is now going good, but she still bite (saw you video on that today) will be working on that. She also has a problem with coprophagia (dealing with that also) I try to sentize her to the small wireless clipper (not going to good). She becomes a Tasmanian devil on the grooming table, she is like a child on a sugar high. I don’t give up and keep at it every day. Lolita is dominant. Maybe you can point out your specific videos to address these challenges. I love your videos, Thank you.
What was the length of the clippers? I’m about to get my shih Tzu puppy groomed for the first time (full) and that looks like a great length. You did a wonderful job with her and was so gentle. It’s so important to make their grooming experience a happy calming experience. I think many groomers see it as “ got to get the job done” mentally and just rough and treats dogs as if they are pots and pans in a kitchen sink but they don’t understand there is a very emotional sensitive creature under all that hair or fur that doesn’t understand.
@@WittleHavanese I just gave my pup her first trim with the clippers and she was great. She is 3.5 months and her hair was long. Do you have a link to the clippers you use and other grooming supplies?
You did such a great job. My Havanese Zephyr is turning a year this month, he has a really curly coat. Do you think his coat will stay curly or will his adult coat be different? When I got him at 8 weeks you couldn't tell he was curly, after his first puppy cut his curls were quite a surprise. Thanks for the great videos. 💖🐱
Thank you! It’s hard to say. He’s almost a year so he could of had his coat change already. So I’d bet on him keeping his curls! It’s so fun to see how they change!

I have a question about the shampoo you use. I’ll be picking up my very first Havanese in about 6 weeks so I’ve starting getting together my essential. He will be solid white so I’m wondering if I should purchase a “whitening” shampoo instead of the typical dog shampoo? TIA!
I rarely use whitening shampoo. Maybe once or twice a year. I find a good bath and a quality moisturizing shampoo does all the brightening. And then once grooming starts any dull hair gets clipped away. So I definitely wouldn’t order until they are an adult and just play it by sight. If you see a bath and groom doesn’t help. The whitening shampoo will do the trick. The whitening shampoo can be very harsh on them so don’t do it too often or use too much. 💜🐾 And Congratulations on your Havanese! The shampoo I love and products I use are on the descriptions of my videos. 💜
Wittle Havanese Thank you so much! I knew I could count on you and your advice. I will certainly add your recommended products to my list. Thanks again! 😊
I love the videos and find them helpful but it would be better to see the specific areas you are trimming while you are doing it. The camera is on the wrong side of the dog.
A puppy can change colors by their first groom. A cost change can usually happen anywhere after 8 months of age. A coat change can last a couple months.

Thanks for the tut. Would appreciate another where we can see from your angle, if possible. That’ll help so much.

Awesome congratulations!
Where did you get your clippers? You have two kinds of clippers? Thank you so much for this video.

How old is the pup in this video? Just wondering how old my Havanese should be for first grooming.....
She’s about 5 months old here I believe. Usually around 4-5 months they get their first full groom.

Omg she grow up
Right? This is an old video as well I’m a bit behind on editing! Lol. They grow so fast though!
I wish the video was closer. Can’t see
When does the puppy coat grow out?
