Agree with residents that removal and transport adds risk. Digging it all up and then dumping it in Utah isn't solving the problem, but just shifting it elsewhere. Also, what's being gained? Why not jettison the radioactive nuclear waste on a rocket into outer space off the earth where it would keep drifting further and further away from earth? or send it to France for disposal in France? SpaceX will take the nuclear waste.
