As a casual counter strike player that in the video is exacly 100% what I'm doing. Except the two flashes on A I did not know. I was wondering all the time why I use nades wrong in cs2 and when the video actually starts and then i noticed it's already end.
Other advice maybe just use your brain?
I think that some issues are intelligence based issues and that back in the days it was more of a nerd thing to play CS and the nerds overall had higher intelligence and nowadays every street boy plays computer games and there are also that not so smart kids amongst them and they don't have any understanding of the game. But can be quite good shooters sometimes. I see it so often. So many top fraggers in low elo play so bad when it comes to understand the game.

Nade tips from a guy who shuffles nades. Just kidddiiiiiing
been playing cs for 9 years, global, faceit 10 and so on .. Have never seen anyone that has own keybinds for nades. not even a lot of pros do it lol

@@RedwoodAmarilThere's not always time to do that. I have a bind for each nade and as a bonus you can set it up in a way that you automatically inspect it when pulling it.

Great video, one I'd like to see is maybe just a basics video on left clicking, right clicking, or left+right clicking nades and situations around them. Thanks!
On the other end of the spectrum are the players who have a position advantage and they decide that "well I have 3 nades, gotta use them all now". Takes them like 6-7s to throw it all and they just get pre-fired because the entire team is watching the one corner where the nades came from.
I'm a bit disappointed you didn't explain the reason why we want to smoke an entrance. My friends didn't know they should be holding the smoke, they didn't know there's a big disadvantage for the people trying to cross it. They are just smoking stuff and then forget about it.
So many times we fight for inferno banana control, get it, and then they leave to hold the site instead of holding the smoke
One extra thing I think about with my grenades is that HE is not just a damage grenade, it's also actually utility in CS2. I might use the HE to clear the smoke early for a kill on someone not expecting it or I toss it past the smoke in some areas (or with no smoke) to check if someone is ther since you now get such strong audio feedback when you hit an enemy.
These kinds of videos are great for people who have very little experience playing slow paced tactical shooters, thanks Fl0m!
maybe a video of good generic spots/ things u can do with the nades? I find it hard to memorize smoke spots for example, it takes some time for me to nail them/ throw them 100% correctly. However i learned a few usefull flash spots that i can use on the fly or in intense situations that dont require a line up for example
Yes. Please make a video about how to counter GOOD T side utility. As a CT I have the issue of getting overwhelmed by it, but playing against good CTs they always seem to have an answer for everything the team throws. Would love some instruction on this
I find with the new interaction of smokes taking up more space its actually easier to abuse B Apps smokes as a T if they dont throw it deep enough, allows a player to get into a cheeky angle unspotted. I know my flash bangs could use work but I find i dont have time to prep them as im normally the one taking the openning duels on T and CT so i normally get a teammate to flash me into a peek. This is harder with Randos because none of them know how to fucking flash in a way that doesnt blind the one taking the challenge.
that why i don't always buy full nade in some round

i'm not fully utilized utility yet
so i just took some that would help my game plan on pre-round
if i dead in some spot, like solo holding
not just i lose money but also gave enemy extra piece of util which make my team harder to retake
money could be better eco or force round or more gun round, or better util on other full buy round
usually just buy some for pre round and some that i would use it for sure and will have time to use it
hope valve gets retake servers on soon
i found on CT side saving HE's for T smokes makes it easier to stop them from getting onto site for free. Like in inferno whenever the T's try to smoke off CT side, you can just pop a HE and you'll see a few T's still trying to get onto side with their backs to your gun.

I think that smokes benefit T's a lot more now because they are a lot less visible in the small holes in smokes or the edges. CT's are much less visible through smokes. You can use that
The amount of utility I waste as a newer player is probably an AK or two by the time it comes to switch sides. Thanks for this little tutorial, immensely helpful.
Something I think would be very helpful for newer/less experienced players would be a video showing all the "default" lineups on each of the maps, or explaining basic utility usage on each map for CT side. Especially Nuke, Ancient, & Anubis since those maps are kinda hard to play with randoms that potentially don't know executes or lineups.
There are hundreds of videos like that on youtube.

Because of those 2 things, it'd definitely be better for him to do it other than some random youtuber that people don't know very well purely because it'd reach more people and get recommended to more people that already watch his "tips & tricks" type videos.
The only person I'd say that would get more success doing that type of video would be The WarOwl back in the day, since he was a go to for if you needed tutorials for anything CS.
@@MythicTF2 There are a lot of tutorials made by pro players with large audiences on youtube. Warowl is not a pro, he is a noob, because of that lot of his nade lineups are useless.

You don't know about pro players unless you're already deeply into the community and regularly look up stuff like that, which a large portion of the community doesn't. You want someone who appears in the feeds of more casual/lesser experienced players, like fl0m or The WarOwl.
I can't tell you how often I see teammates buy full util. And then don't use any of it.
I am a solo player and I know tons of smokes, molies etc, but my problem is that I DON'T have enough utility. Usually my teammates know nades only for mirage and I am always the guy who begs for smokes and molies to increase our chances for success. Sometimes I feel pathetic about that.

2:02 yup, this here is key to winning most situations - since you know your surroundings (after all, we've played that shitty map for 10 years now), just plan what to do in all possible situations with he equipment you've got and try to execute the plan or improvise if all preparations lead to failure
here's another tip for y'all - each weapon has an effective range and if you play it, you increase your chances for winning fights
i often play b anker on mirage and it triggers me so much seeing people not throw the molly on ramp or not using util to defend

At 2:52 it took me 4 replays to realize you were saying "tellin you", I thought you were saying "Tommy, just think about these things when you start the round." I was like ok bro just called me out.
Some basics, but man the amount of people who just toss everything they have at something as soon as they can.
"oh one step in apps? ... guess I chuck in all 4 nades", or something along those lines.
wasting all your nades is still preferable to being in a clutch scenario with all your util and dying because you never used it. I swear I get teammates all the time who out aim me but never use util and I can guarantee we lose those matches
when your teamates smoke the wrong spots, smoke your molle or just toss a decoy as soon as the round starts because that totally works

Good stuff. I always think of using smokes as obscuring my movement and never like slowing or denial. Which might be a more t-sided brain.

Mirage Truly is the counterpart to dust 2, layout is virtually the same, every round plays out the exact same way, the only difference is that while on dust its an aim duel, mirage is just util duel, team with better util usage wins, i still wish they would boot mirage and maybe inferno off the map pool since i swear out of 10 games in premier 7 are on mirage, 2 on inferno and the other game is actually the fun one
Left click = long throw
Right click = underhand/short throw
Left + Right click = medium/lob throw
Not many people now about the L+R click and hope it helps someone!

Grenades are so important. I often see too many players not buying them. I find the smoke grenade to be the most useful one, because it can be used in several different ways and the enemy can't get rid of the smoke. The most obvious use is making it risky for the enemy to push through. Another is to block the enemies view of you and your team. A third is creating a background drop that makes it easier to spot enemies. You can also get some cheap kills if the enemy gets trapped in the smoke. Overall, you force the enemy to halt and reconsider their plan. With a bit of team effort you can really delay the enemy for a long time, making it less likely for them to achieve their objective within the time limit. As a counter, sometimes the better choice is to just push through the smoke, because the enemy won't expect it.
When rounds slow down i tend to think a lot, sometimes complicating easy things that gets me killed, How should I be thinking during slower rounds? Been loving the videos recently man !

Gotta thank you for your previous video, especially because you mentioned witnessing first hand, that valve developers were able to fix problems rather quickly and effectively. That instilled much needed faith in me to keep on believing that this game could truly be a good CS-franchise continuation in maybe even less than 2 years from its beta-launch. I'm not even being sarcastic here, i would honestly be really pleased if the cs-community could stop blaming the game itself and start focusing on improving their skills in a fair and stable environment in such a short time. Would be awesome to see how big of a difference it would make in meta-game development, when compared to GO:s "forced" meta changes, revolving around broken weapons and just generally changes in the game.
i swear the amount of times im telling other players yo u got such & such kind of nade they never throw it, they get mad at me for reminding them about their nade usage like you mentioned if your buying it use it, my nades aren't always ideal either but i try to keep 1 or 2 for various situations like a flash if nobody throws a flash from A over towards mid on mirage i'll chuck 1 or 2 of them over to help my mid player

Is there a reason for the instant molly? Aren't you just delaying the execute without gathering info? What's wrong with throwing it when the flashes/smokes start coming in?
Because eco rushes exist and if you wait until the utility starts coming in you'll be waiting til next round.
Even on a full buy if you wait you'll still be late because like flom said you want your gun out before they start swinging, and not caught with your pants down in the throwing animation

It drives me nuts seeing my teammates still holding nades at the end of a round.
It's even worse when they're just mindlessly throwing them all at once once they've planted the bomb and gets killed for it lol.
I prefer it to team mates who never buy util the whole game cos they CBF figuring it out

Nah, I don't agree with that A solo game. Smoke ramps and molly palace, learn to play triple and stay there. Still from triple (hide behind those fucking boxes) peak and wait for that tetris lurker and nade him. From there flash the enemy team and pray your team rotates. You should be able to control A without much problems, even in solo. Triple is an incredible powerfull position, specially if you have someone on window that can give info. You can litterally obleterate every T trying to push con dry or those who go to short from cat.
Avoid dark at all costs if you can; I know you like "that" kind of "safety" but if you don't have good reflexes and good aim, you are gonna be:
-burned alive
-kobed out of excistence
-blinded by the sun
-mauled by nagev sprayer players
-bullied by all your team because you where not able to kill a single T through a narrow hole (yeah, I know what dark pros players do, but you are not a pro player if you are looking these videos on youtube)
