Ten Hag somehow tried his very best to win the fanbase and also the players on and off the pitch. Even during the conference, he defended his players to the core. But as for Amorim, I can see he’s already showing his surrender than a putting up a good fight.
If nearly every Premier League fan knows that Casimero and Eriksen in the midfield is a bad idea, how the heck Amorim and his coaching staff didn't? As soon as I saw the starting lineup, I was like, "what the heck is he doing?"
He is bullying the owners into accepting that they have to move these players on, and he's bullying the players into accepting that they are done at Man Utd.
So Robbo started getting worked up after Don said the same thing he just said a minute ago….not sure whats up with him…..and Don is 100% right, those players are average players, no top team has Dalot in their target list, not even close…and Delight?! Come on Robbo there is a reason why Bayern Munich was ok with letting him go
It’s a bit unfair to say all these players are not good enough. If the system doesn’t allow these players to shine, you’ll always see them as bad players. I’m a Liverpool fan and I thought Gravenberch under Klopp system was so average but under Slot he’s a game changer.
Again zirkzee cost half of what Hojlund cost ..he’s played less minutes too and usually out of position but he has 4 goals this season but they are trying to scapegoat him
Very few pundits have been trying to scapegoat him, they’ve said he was no worse than any other Man Utd player and felt sorry for him when he was pulled off early. Pretty much all of the online and UA-cam fan channels slate him constantly and his substitution was cheered by the OT crowd which was awful. The issue isn’t the manager (although he is being naive got his midfield selection very wrong on Monday), it’s also not a single players fault. If Zirkzee was bought by Newcastle he’d be a far better player as he’d be getting decent coaching and would be introduced slowly into a good system. It’s just an overall mess at Man Utd
Me thinks Robbo doesnt like Don very much!!! I agree with Don about Utds squad. There might 2/3 decent defenders there and Bruno is a quality player(when he sticks to his position) but other than that theyre bang average.
Football is a weird sports look at forest they dont have a better squad than man u yet still look where they are..still the managers job to get the best out off what he have
@@muzodon4206 True but Forest also dont have the expectation or pressure that United have. So the players have more freedom to play.. Its easier to play for Forest. Far less pressure than Utd. Thats why average players can over achieve at a lower table club. Less pressure
Well hes for sure right on de ligt. There was even a 60 k signature petition to block his sale at munich...thats how good he was. Was our player if the season :( the ...tuchel came...im SO GLAD you took him of our hands.
This Mr. Mark Ogden, every six months or every season he shoots at the (new) coach and, like many people, has no idea what the real problem is. They've a loss of DNA since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson. David Moyes didn't respect the old successful players and the substitutes (Evra, Rio Ferdinand, Vidic, Giggs, Rooney, Chicharito). The important values and this winning DNA were not passed on to those who followed (Rashford, Martial, Lingard, Zaha). Watch "Stick to Football" with Rio Ferdinand and you'll know why they've been so unsuccessful on the pitch for 12 years. Tip-> Counterexample=Ancelotti and look at how respectful he is and has been with the old stars (Modric, Kroos, Carvajal, Benzema...) and this DNA is passed on
Zirkzee was brought as a young Wout Weghorst since that's how Erik Ten Hag got Rashford to score so many goals. But Ten Hag is not here anymore so he's surplus to requirements.
EtH never wanted Zirkzee. He was an INEOS signing. EtH never got his first-choice players. He never wanted Weghorst then, he wanted Gakpo. Glazers slacked off and Gakpo switched his interest to Liverpool.
Like all these comments, everyone is on the money about the panels' "honesty" issue. EtH was loathed and absolutely HATED for trying to gaslight the fanbase by consistently stating "we are doing good, trust the process". It is refreshing to hear the reality of the squad from the actual manager now. These doesnt mean defeatist, it just means being straight up with the fans.
It's completely defeatist full stop, just cause you think it ain't doesn't make it true. There's a very good reason 343 doesn't work in the brutal Prem and why not a single Prem club uses this system. Oooo no he's just being honest with his rent boy statement to us poor poor united fans. No wonder neutral fans extract the urine.
Realisticly the fans don't want a fight from the manager, the fans want open heart surgery, the team needs a new heart, new players, maybe 5 or 6 players are ok to stay. Everyone else needs to go. We need to bring down the house completely and rebuild!!! No one minds the truth from Amorim, that's what's needed.
I’m with Robbo in this one. Man Utd outbid Arsenal to sign Lisandro Martinez. Then Arsenal went for the second choice. Look at what Arsenal has made out of Jurien Timber and what Man Utd has turned a World Cup winner into. It is easy to insult players but it is not their fault that a rubbish team is messing them up. 2 years ago Marcus Rashford was doing a what you can do, I can do it better with Bukayo Saka. Now Rashford is not even worth of a mention in the same sentence as Saka. What has happened? I remember the story about Alexis Sanchez wanting to cancel a half billion a week contract a day after training at Man Utd for the first time to return to Arsenal. The culture there is killing players not the players abilities.
As a Man United supporter who does not have access to watch the match live, I hope that Man United and Amorim will soon be able to recover from their downturn.
The best formation for Man Utd is that setup that Ruud played against Leicster, that formation will help them get results. A midfield pivot of Casemiro & Ugarte, you give the backfield more protection and allow Bruno more creativity without worrying about him being a liability on defence. The team is not setup for Amorims 3 at the back, he needs to secure the points and experiment after. Also he needs to clean up these setpiece goals, every team sees it like a penalty against them.
INEOS are the biggest existential threat United have faced since the Munich air disaster. Ratcliffe is an old school cost cutting industrialist who’s become bored in industry and has bought his way into sport as a vanity project. Everything he touches outside of chemicals turns to S. . . !
I really like the bald man...hes not just going after narrative's. De ligt didnt bomb what so ever. Bayern wanted money...but he was the best defender. And the club burned a lot bridges selling him.
Doesn't Robbo criticise Arsenal for being 'too emotional'. It's great to see him being stable and rational with Don. 🤣🤣 Oh, sorry ... he didn't do that - he threw a total wobbly. Love both these guys, happy seeing more of them. Appreciate Don's composure in this one.
If Amorim says I don’t have any other idea that means he is not considering anything else but to get the team to adjust to his idea. Not that he actually doesn’t have any other idea. You lot either aren’t that smart to get point or got the point just looking for something to blah about
If Ruben said any different, this toxic panel would say he should just be honest. This panel were average players and haven't managed and have no clue but apparently they know better. Hutchinson was a failure at liverpool
I’m constantly hearing that only the players are to blame. But at a certain point, the manager needs to fully understand the player profiles that he’s actually working with. Because formations and tactics mean absolutely nothing if you don’t actually have the right players to implement your system. Amorim’s system requires players with pace, high work rates, and high football IQ’s. And United’s squad very clearly don’t have those attributes. It’s getting to the point very quickly where I think Amorim is dogmatic in his approach that he’s going to actually send United into a real relegation battle. Since he arrived, United have won 7 points from 24 in the Premier League. Which is 17th in the table during that time period and only above Ipswich in 18th during that time period on goals scored. Amorim is very quickly sending United even further into the gutter by not adapting. And as Don correctly pointed out, it’s naive.
@rasmuslampposselt3564 And that’s why I said in another post on this thread that the club committed malpractice bringing in a manager with a formation and style of player that isn’t compatible with the current squad. And to make it even worse, the club have no money to spend in January unless they can somehow offload players who virtually no other clubs will take in both their ability and wages. I don’t think Amorim actually realized how bad the United players were before taking this job.
@@Photosoflife He should go back to their transitional tactics. Play 4-4-2 low block and hit on the break. Play Casemiro and Ugarte in a double pivot, Bruno and Zirkzee/Hojlund in a double 10 with Rashford and Diallo on the wings
Life long ManU fan here…in my opinion, the issues on the pitch go far deeper than any manager we’ve had since Sir Alex. A club is built from the top down and ManU is a mess at the top. As other top clubs invested in a structure to support the manager/coach, United didn’t. They’ve relied on their global brand and history to remain relevant. Even INEOS has come in and made mistakes (kept Ten Hag, which meant more Ten Hag players, and getting rid of the sporting director in 5 months, not to mention all the cost cutting measures). All this coverage on ManU’s poor form is disrespectful to the other teams in the league. I think we want a team that plays on the front foot, but this is a team built to play on the counter. It’s why Ten Hag abandoned his tactics after his first two games in charge. ManU don’t have the athletes in the squad to play a high press game. It’s why they get outworked by almost all the teams in the league. Talent alone cannot make up for a lack of effort and athleticism. It doesn’t matter the system, we’ve seen a variety of them with each manager that has come and gone since 2013, if the players aren’t working hard for the shirt. The goals they’ve shipped have been because of individual and collective errors. Items one thing to get beat by silky football, it’s another to get beat by an olympico in the span of three games or have a goal go straight through your keeper, or set pieces where you don’t fight for position, etc. In my opinion, Amorim can lead the team back to success; however, he can’t do it without the backing from those in charge…just look at Arteta and Arsenal. Apologies for the long post
Kobbie Mainoo is averaging 1.7 successful take-ons p90 in the Premier League this season, the most of any central midfielder in the competition. Needs to be a permanent fixture in Ruben Amorim’s midfield. ✅
As a Liverpool fan, I think we dodged a bullet from hiring Amorim. The guy looks more lost than Ten Hag was. We told you Man United fans, Ten Hag was the only manager to beat Liverpool and Man City in one season for a very long time! You should have persisted with our good old Ten G.
Amorim is going to realize pretty fast how every word he says will be analyzed, blown out of proportion or taken out of context. The guy literally just got the job. It was New Castle ffs. And they United were ok in second half.
After all these systems and play styles Manu tried you would think somethings got to stick. Aside from pure footballing skills, character and brains is needed as well. So yeah not good enough.
Even as a Liverpool fan I think people are being too harsh on Amorim. It's way too early, at least give the man a full season before passing judgement. In my opinion given the mess Ten Hag left United in, it would be decent work by Amorim if United avoided a relegation scrap this season. Given a few signings of his own Amorim will surely do much better.
If United supporters think Amorin is the right manager for United. They are WRONG. It's a bad statement my the manager telling the team is in relegation battle. He spoke to improve the team.
Why is Amorim necessarily way superior to Ten Hag? Ten Hag also did great at Ajax, but not at United. Amorim has come in way too cocky, and playing Casemiro and Eriksen as a 2 vs Newcastle is jusT shocking and proof that he apparently has no idea what to do when he does not have a superior squad.
It's not the managers, but you can also say it's not the players too. Over the 10 years in the wilderness the players have changed. But the problems remain the same. This is s spiritual problem. It needs an exorcism.
Man Utd will win the league next season ... Championship league 😂😂😂 Agree that how can a Man Utd Manager talk about relegation fight just half way in a season. Still 80% fans think that he is the right manager for Man Utd!!
Anyone who thinks United are going to get relegated, is deluded. Last season the 18th team who got relegated was 26 ponits.. and Nottengham stayed at 17th with only 31 points... United only needs to win couple wins like 4-5 max. they have more than 16 games left and they are currently 22 points.. be realistic please.
He didn't have anyone else but Erikson and Casemiro. What was he supposed to do? He has played 3-5-2 plenty, but he doesn't have the midfielders to do so.
Drag in Pedro Porro and Nuno Mendes. Both played under Amorim and are the exact prototypes that appeal to Amorim's system. Keep Bruno and buy Pedro Goncalves and Goncalo Ignacio. There, you have your two playmaking / pressing wingbacks and replacements for Antony and Martinez. Ugarte needs to step up. The midfield is a conundrum that needs an additional transfer window to untangle.
I’m a United supporter and an Amorim supporter. Man City is proof that any team in this currently very competitive Premier League can suffer lapses of form. Yes our “lapse” is longer than most. Yes any team on their day can beat United but we can beat any team on our day and our day is coming. Come on Ye Reds . United fans are not naive we know the problem is not Amorim. Dont forget his Porto team thrashed Man City 4-1. Keep comparing the Portugal league to the premier league if you want but saying Amorim is naive about the premier league because we didn’t defend corners well is daft.

in fact the highest paid players may decide to follow through their contract because no other side is dumb enough to offer them any wages near what they get despite the relegation & the cut price UTD would accept, and if UTD wants to remove these overpaid players they will have to pay their wages in full contract length to release them, punching an even bigger hole in their finances & team personnel needed to bounce back
What does the benevolent free spending of *THEIR OWN MONEY* Glazers have to do with anything ?
@@JabbarTV1 relegation clause are in many of the United players contract. Might be the best thing to get them off
i love this banter between Robo and Dan, lol
Never seen Robbo that passionate
He played for arsenal.
Watch him trashing Arsenal 😂
It’s painful to be United fan but why did Robo just crash out for no reason. Don is 100% right.
Robbo once again defending the average United players while crapping all over the coach.
The alternatives are worse 😂
Wld u suggest some better plyrs tht Man u cld hv plus.Ugarte and Bruno were suspended.
He had nobody else, also if they can't play, why are they on the team?
So Robbo started getting worked up after Don said the same thing he just said a minute ago….not sure whats up with him…..and Don is 100% right, those players are average players, no top team has Dalot in their target list, not even close…and Delight?! Come on Robbo there is a reason why Bayern Munich was ok with letting him go
United is indeed a small club, don't be afraid to say it, remove their names and their records, everyone would think the same
👍🏼
Facts
Unfortunately we behave like a small club.😢😢
Indeed
No matter how you frame it, United is and always will be a bigger club than yours
Maybe don't say that with a PSG logo kiddo💀
It’s a bit unfair to say all these players are not good enough. If the system doesn’t allow these players to shine, you’ll always see them as bad players. I’m a Liverpool fan and I thought Gravenberch under Klopp system was so average but under Slot he’s a game changer.
14/15 Games Dier played for bayern that season his partner was De Ligt. he never benched him
Terrible mistake by Amorin to make that relegation statement
why?? the players need to get shocked
@Lumi.801 traumatized already
I don’t think it’s wrong. People need to stop being entitled to results.
Truth hurts
Maybe not good for the season but he wants them out! As a rival I say BACK YOUR PLAYERS
@@andrewcharlton6080 that's all it is Andre.
He doesn’t look like a footballer
I mean you could find 100 players like him. In fact he's quite cookie cutter. Not convinced by his play, that's for sure.
Nonsense
Me thinks Robbo doesnt like Don very much!!!
I agree with Don about Utds squad. There might 2/3 decent defenders there and Bruno is a quality player(when he sticks to his position) but other than that theyre bang average.
Lolx. Yep
I said under the Glazers we need to go down years ago. MANCHESTER UNITED have been drained as a cash cow for a decade plus
Producer needs to tell robbo he needs to stop cutting people off when they are talking. Its not the robbo show.
that knife cuts both ways. Don just kept repeating himself and would not listen to robbo's counter. needed kay to referee.
Hojlund runs around all game but he does nothing i have never seen a player that big that spends so much time on the floor.
Very nice fight between don and rob😂😂
Well hes for sure right on de ligt. There was even a 60 k signature petition to block his sale at munich...thats how good he was. Was our player if the season :( the ...tuchel came...im SO GLAD you took him of our hands.
Watch slot come out in his pre match presser saying Interim is doing a cracking job, like Ange and why should he change 😂
Anyone who thinks there is not a good chance of relegation for United, he is deluded .
Honestly Dalot is very goood on the ball and offers a lot going forward
Tip-> Counterexample=Ancelotti and look at how respectful he is and has been with the old stars (Modric, Kroos, Carvajal, Benzema...) and this DNA is passed on
As much as amorim want to sell or have his idea of playing style his selection of starting 11 is shocking i mean this is premier league
Long story short: ETH was the goat 🐐
Tbh this ragtag group of players were more used to Ten hag despite how deluded he is
Zirkzee was brought as a young Wout Weghorst since that's how Erik Ten Hag got Rashford to score so many goals.
@@philiq18Ten never got his players lol. Most had played under him before. Coincidence 😂😂😂😂. 🤡
@@paulfrench3356 I dont know what you're on about mate.
If you do the same things, you will get the same results. If things are not going the way you want, you need to change things.
Sometimes things take time. How long do you give it before you abandon your principles and try something different?
Tactical sub for goodness sake. They weren't booing him they were booing the team.
Everything he touches outside of chemicals turns to S. . . !
the chemicals he produces turns the environment to S...!
I really like the bald man...hes not just going after narrative's.
De ligt didnt bomb what so ever. Bayern wanted money...but he was the best defender. And the club burned a lot bridges selling him.
Who remembers these lit critiquing ten hags interviews and how he waffled. And now Ruben’s what you want you’re still gonna trash it.
Hold the stick from the middle, why managers have to be on either extreme
Most of the games Dier played for Bayern De Ligt was his partner. he didn't bench him
Rather hear the truth than lie the players know who they are telling em stories ain't making them better chillout wait til summer transfer window
Doesn't Robbo criticise Arsenal for being 'too emotional'. It's great to see him being stable and rational with Don. 🤣🤣
Oh, sorry ... he didn't do that - he threw a total wobbly.
Love both these guys, happy seeing more of them. Appreciate Don's composure in this one.
If Amorim says I don’t have any other idea that means he is not considering anything else but to get the team to adjust to his idea. Not that he actually doesn’t have any other idea. You lot either aren’t that smart to get point or got the point just looking for something to blah about
A heated argument there at the end.
If Ruben said any different, this toxic panel would say he should just be honest. This panel were average players and haven't managed and have no clue but apparently they know better. Hutchinson was a failure at liverpool
Don was a journeyman who hacked out a living at most of the clubs in the league. When players didn’t need to have a brain 🧠 😂
But clearly the club knew that, when they signed him?
@rasmuslampposselt3564
And that’s why I said in another post on this thread that the club committed malpractice bringing in a manager with a formation and style of player that isn’t compatible with the current squad.
What players would you assume to have high football IQ? I mean in Europe in general.
Good for Robbo trying to defend the players
Kobbie Mainoo is averaging 1.7 successful take-ons p90 in the Premier League this season, the most of any central midfielder in the competition. Needs to be a permanent fixture in Ruben Amorim’s midfield. ✅
Love two former players who never played at Man U getting an argument about Man U. That was not on my bingo card. One played at west ham and arsenal.
Ok Robo tried to cook here and I see his point. Some of those players did a job for country but others like Dalot couldn't even cut it for Milan
Bergkamp Vieira and Henry weren't cuttit before going to Arsenal.
Great discussion
As a Liverpool fan, I think we dodged a bullet from hiring Amorim. The guy looks more lost than Ten Hag was. We told you Man United fans, Ten Hag was the only manager to beat Liverpool and Man City in one season for a very long time! You should have persisted with our good old Ten G.
I NEEEEED to see Hutchinson and Robson as managers, PLEASE 🙏🏾
hopefully even at the same time, it would be a 100m or 60m sack race for the ages
lmao cook
Refreshing to see people other than Stevie fighting 😂😂
De Ligt was Bayern's best defender. Dier never played before De Ligt unless he was injured. He was #1 CB all of last year
Amorim is going to realize pretty fast how every word he says will be analyzed, blown out of proportion or taken out of context. The guy literally just got the job. It was New Castle ffs. And they United were ok in second half.
Its good to see Kay Murray back. Excellent presenter. The big problem is any team can make a player look bad or good.
When ruben first came in he was very good to the players clearly certian players been taking advantage of that
After all these systems and play styles Manu tried you would think somethings got to stick. Aside from pure footballing skills, character and brains is needed as well. So yeah not good enough.
They go on about JOURNALISTS mentioning relegation, not Amorim, and ignore the fact he talks about wanting to win the title.
Yes, Amorin is honest AND NAIVE. He is out of his depth!
Was not expecting this to break out into an argument!!
He spoke to improve the team.
nope, very good. Let our players understand
Yes, it is a heated conversation
If he wasn’t honest, you lot would be calling him a delusional liar!
Well, that was honest and lively!!! 😂😂😂
It's not the managers, but you can also say it's not the players too. Over the 10 years in the wilderness the players have changed. But the problems remain the same. This is s spiritual problem. It needs an exorcism.
Man Utd will win the league next season ... Championship league 😂😂😂
Agree that how can a Man Utd Manager talk about relegation fight just half way in a season. Still 80% fans think that he is the right manager for Man Utd!!
EtH had more good results with these players then Amorim.
yet he was still mid table, the team needs a shock
Robo and Dan have more passion than any Manchester United player. :D
How does Amorim not know how to defend set pieces??! Ridiculous take! The players can’t head the ball away and defend!
Let's talk about it when man U are 1 win in 13 like city were. Were only half way.
@@stveloop94529 points off a team who are 1 win in their last 13. Chaos

If they get relegated I will fly to Vegas to celebrate 🍾 🎉😂
Its over for utd.
They will never dominate again!!
The coach deserves it for walking out of sporting before mid-season.
He didn't have anyone else but Erikson and Casemiro. What was he supposed to do? He has played 3-5-2 plenty, but he doesn't have the midfielders to do so.
He had mainoo...... he could have played martinez as CDM and Yoro as apart of the back 3
@@chrizjamez9900 Ugarte needs to get healthy. Ugarte and Casemiro can play together in a midfield of three with Bruno as an eight.

This was literally one of the best espn episodes other episodes are vanilla , meh this one was amazing clash of thoughts
Amorin will make a great Championship manager
Ten Hag is actually better than him. Amorin is clueless.
