He’s my favorite character 😭 beautiful, majestic, dark, mysterious, and pure. He’s a complex character with deep emotions. He may appear selfish but the more is revealed, his love has a pureness to it. He sacrifices without asking for anything and he lets go because he loves.

The really sad part is: Xiaoyao said that true love would mean the person would be only hers and live and die only for her and abandon everything else. Xiang Liu did all of it sacrificing even his loyalty (he flunked every single assassination on Xuan and tried to kill one of the kings which ended him unconscious in her bed), his essence, his heartblood, and all of his lifes to her, and she still chose the lying Fox who promised her this kind of love and broke the promise every time. And people still simp over Jing and Xuan as if they actually deserve it...

Even Tong Hua mentioned in the interview that XL is her favorite character. Now I finally understand why he has the most character growth compared to the ML and FL. Throughout this drama, I wonder why CX, XY, and TSJ slowly fade into the background while XL stands out. In reality, he is the main character of the story. The rest are just extras built to let him reach his final destination.

He was heart and soul willing. He loved Xiaoyao so much and gave the warmest love in the coldest way possible. I'm so glad Xiangliu's role met the perfectly suited and matched actor. Even if the ending for him is bittersweet, be comforted a bit for the fact that he chose that ending for them. Xiangliu is the best character ever. He is strong willed and chose to be the stronger one between his and Xiaoyao's love. That of course caused him more pain and casted forever yearning for Xiaoyao. But be happy for a bit that it happened. I'm sure Xiangliu is in peace and finally free and happy that he was able to give Xiaoyao what she wanted the most being back to a life similar to wen xiaolius', and that the woman he loved dearly misses him and thinks about him too. Listen to 'See and miss one another/Xiāng jiàn xiāngsī/相見相思' an ost by yangzi and feel the lyrics deep within. When I listen to that, I feel for the eternal yearning that a girl feels for missing a lover. I don't think she was singing for jing nor cang xuan. It's definitely for Xiangliu and look at the novel's cover; the way it shows lovesick berries covered in snow. I may not the best reader but if that doesn't point out to the love story between Xiangliu and Xiaoyao then maybe i am rlly delusional. They're not the main leads but it's clear enough they were each other's true love. So if you feel sad for how it ended for Xiangliu, be comforted for the things I said even for just a bit. ^^

Thank you for uploading this song. My favorite character is Xiang Liu in Lost You Forever and he sang this OST, I'm so happy. Many loved him for portraying his role so well, he deserved to win a BEST ACTOR AWARD. He is so talented. I hope there is a happy ending for him in S2, if in the novel there's a tragedy for him the Director can change his role to a happy ending and not follow the novel. For popular demand, the Director should listen to viewers' requests.

As much I would love to see them together in the end, I feel it is disrespectful to the amazing author of these beautifully-crafted characters to deviate too far from any original major plot points and endings. Even though Xiang Liu dies in S 2, this character is gonna live forever in Xiao Yoa's heart and the fans' heart. The writer and TJC did an excellent job! Xiang Liu, a hero and a general who loves a princess coming from the family of his enemy. As a man who loves a woman, he saves her from death multiple times. Eventually, before he dies in the battle field, he just hopes she could now live a happy life without worries. I know the ending but still I'm waiting for S 2. I love everthing in the novel and the drama. Thank you for writing such a great novel and turning it into a beautiful drama. ❤ **Spoiler alert** This is one of my favorite Chinese novels turned to drama. I finished reading the novel 10 years ago. Tonghua, the author, in the first novel, wrote the love story of Xiao Yoa's parents. It ended tragically withe the death of them and Xiao Yao became an orphan. For the secone novel, Xiao Yao grew up roughly and this time she wants the love ending that is different from her parents. A few days ago, I just reread the novel and finished watching the drama S1. As a fan, I would say, the drama depicts the major events in the novel really well and the casts' acting is very smooth and natural.
Even if it is not good in ratings, I wish they could do a "Lost You Forever" version in modern days, like they did with Scarlet Heart (Bu Bu Jing Xin) that was also written by Tong Hua. Even if it wasn't perfect, it definitively fulfilled the heart of those who wanted a happy ending for the main characters... 😢 I mean, I wonder if Xiao Yao would still choose Jing over Xiang Liu if there wasn't a war happening.

He was heart and soul willing. He loved Xiaoyao so much and gave the warmest love in the coldest way possible. I'm so glad Xiangliu's role met the perfectly suited and matched actor. Even if the ending for him is bittersweet, be comforted a bit for the fact that he chose that ending for them. Xiangliu is the best character ever. He is strong willed and chose to be the stronger one between his and Xiaoyao's love. That of course caused him more pain and casted forever yearning for Xiaoyao. But be happy for a bit that it happened. I'm sure Xiangliu is in peace and finally free and happy that he was able to give Xiaoyao what she wanted the most being back to a life similar to wen xiaolius', and that the woman he loved dearly misses him and thinks about him too. Listen to 'See and miss one another/Xiāng jiàn xiāngsī/相見相思' an ost by yangzi and feel the lyrics deep within. When I listen to that, I feel for the eternal yearning that a girl feels for missing a lover. I don't think she was singing for jing nor cang xuan. It's definitely for Xiangliu and look at the novel's cover; the way it shows lovesick berries covered in snow. I may not the best reader but if that doesn't point out to the love story between Xiangliu and Xiaoyao then maybe i am rlly delusional. They're not the main leads but it's clear enough they were each other's true love. So if you feel sad for how it ended for Xiangliu, be comforted for the things I said even for just a bit. ^^

Thank you for uploading this song. My favorite character is Xiang Liu in Lost You Forever and he sang this OST, I'm so happy. Many loved him for portraying his role so well, he deserved to win a BEST ACTOR AWARD. He is so talented. I hope there is a happy ending for him in S2, if in the novel there's a tragedy for him the Director can change his role to a happy ending and not follow the novel. For popular demand, the Director should listen to viewers' requests.

As much I would love to see them together in the end, I feel it is disrespectful to the amazing author of these beautifully-crafted characters to deviate too far from any original major plot points and endings.
It is the sad, heartbreaking endings of some stories (and life) that helps us appreciate the happy endings.
That is just my opinion, of course.

Even though Xiang Liu dies in S 2, this character is gonna live forever in Xiao Yoa's heart and the fans' heart. The writer and TJC did an excellent job! Xiang Liu, a hero and a general who loves a princess coming from the family of his enemy. As a man who loves a woman, he saves her from death multiple times. Eventually, before he dies in the battle field, he just hopes she could now live a happy life without worries. I know the ending but still I'm waiting for S 2. I love everthing in the novel and the drama. Thank you for writing such a great novel and turning it into a beautiful drama. ❤
**Spoiler alert** This is one of my favorite Chinese novels turned to drama. I finished reading the novel 10 years ago. Tonghua, the author, in the first novel, wrote the love story of Xiao Yoa's parents. It ended tragically withe the death of them and Xiao Yao became an orphan. For the secone novel, Xiao Yao grew up roughly and this time she wants the love ending that is different from her parents. A few days ago, I just reread the novel and finished watching the drama S1. As a fan, I would say, the drama depicts the major events in the novel really well and the casts' acting is very smooth and natural.
There're some Xiangliu's characters are different from the novel that show his weakness which has never shown in the novel.
Even if it is not good in ratings, I wish they could do a "Lost You Forever" version in modern days, like they did with Scarlet Heart (Bu Bu Jing Xin) that was also written by Tong Hua. Even if it wasn't perfect, it definitively fulfilled the heart of those who wanted a happy ending for the main characters... 😢
I mean, I wonder if Xiao Yao would still choose Jing over Xiang Liu if there wasn't a war happening.
