    Hmmm... I might try this, but rather than 3d printing the main board, I'll try using a CNC machine to route it out of some MDF. I think that would be waaaay quicker and cheaper.
    I'll still print the details and terrain bits though.

      The built in 3D modeller in Windows 10 called 3D builder can be used to slice up the large board. It worked well for me but is still onerous. I started with mesh mixer but it was not user friendly and very difficult to slice the board. Use the windows one.

    Hi guys , the work you put into this project is outstanding ,the result is unbelievable good and I was speechless when I found out you were giving the STL files for free. I'm waiting for my copy of Nemesis which should arrive in May and a friend of mine is currently using those file to 3D print the same then hopefully I will be able to put it together. I would love if It could look even half as good as yours. The tutorial video is very good but I have plenty of questions about how to put all the different 3d parts together when ready , position of walls, transparent pieces etc. Also the stl for the Shell is one single file, I know we need to cut it accordingly to the 3D printer bed size but in this video it seems build on multiple levels , did you have to cut it both perpendicularly and parallel to the base? I wonder if you have any PDF file you used or some sort of project step by step scheme you used and you could share ? thanks very much for everything

    • @NextLevelBoardGaming
      @NextLevelBoardGaming  3 роки тому

      Hi Luca, thank you for your comment. We understand the files are not the easiest, unfortunately, but we were beginners at the time we made that file and our computers were not powerful enough to keep working in all the separate parts of the model so many times we just had to combine the parts until it became one big file. Also being 100% honest we were never expecting anybody to recreate this thing so we have not been prepared for this as so many people have re-created this so much. So this video and the files are more or less all we have left. But you are correct I have printed it in sizes to fit my build plate 40x40 cm and also in a bottom and top layer to save infill but more important to save printing time and it is easier to instal the lights and everything.
      Please keep us informed about your project, and send us some pics when it is all done! love to see it.
      Also if any questions, please send us an email ;)

      @@NextLevelBoardGaming hey guys , quick update . The project is going well . I have the shell all printed and glued . It wasn't easy with so many parts due to small 3D printer bed. I'm now gluing the corridors numbers and the walls. I have a question i don't seem to find a solution. it's about the wall pieces names air vents, the number one. I have watched the tutorial videos several times and videos of the finished board and i can't find out where they go ! also can you advice where to find all the extra bits that go on the "ceiling " not included in the downloaded folder. Like pipes, half vents etc . I'd be really grateful if you could help thanks very much

      @@lucaadinolfi5117 Hi, Awsome to hear that the project is going forward. for the airvents etc. its best to take the original game board as a reference as this is a one on one copie. the stuff that is on top has been downloaded from thingyverse back at that time. but I can not find the files any longer. but if you look for Warhammer pipes etc you will find some cool stuff to use as well.

      Stacey Edwards we know the printing took 350 hours, the modeling was not tracked but I think its about 60 to 80 hours because we needed to reprint and test so many things, all the corridors need to be visible from all sides of the table and the noise markers cannot be too deep and so on. The build was a pain in the ass haha but if I need to get it is around 150 hours incl painting all. So maybe 500 hours? I am really not sure, to be honest, but this is what my feelings would say

      Zer0.BE that is treu, when building it the terrain expansion was not yet out and no dimentions where available. But offcourse when we can print this size and build we can most definitly make some simple doors 😉

      True, but I'd rather use those. And I was thinking about printing this myself (printed some parts for as a test already, since my print surface is smaller) but then I realized that the doors probably wouldn't fit, and just wanted to make sure, before I continued :) I guess I'll either make some adjustments to this one, or make something from scratch myself keeping the doors in mind.

      @@Atopimport Will do! Thanks for all the work you've put into this project by the way. And of course, making it available publicly. I've decided to redo the hallways and rooms from scratch, but stick to the layout you figured out (with some needed adjustments). This should make all most of the props reusable. (even the hibernation chambers)
      Silly question maybe, but there are 2 things I haven't figured out: What are the 3 lights under the hibernation tank for? And what are the 3 computers (with lights) for next to the destination marker? (seen here: ua-cam.com/video/BBPoQh5TDVA/v-deo.html) Are they for the intruder weaknesses or something?

      Elvis Peverelli Hi we have some great difficulty with the files and rendering. But because of our works we only have the weekends to work on them. We will do our best to get them live as soon as possible.
