Hey man! Well done - just working on my own Ruhla Chronograf so your video came right on time )) the problem you may have is to find a proper bracelet for this type of "lugs", not many of them will suit.
Great video friend. I recently acquired a ruhla chronograph. However, the chronograph function does not work since it is missing the parts that activate it. Do you know where I can find spare parts for these parts?
I'm really glad that you like it 😀. About the part you have to monitor eBay or similar and or you find a part that you are looking for or a dead movement with this part ...
Nice video. Just restored one, I can't set the second hand to the correct position by pressing the button. Do you have any tips to be able to put it easily?

I thought that the bluing was actually a type of oil burned into the surface of the steel. I know that steel goes blue when it gets too hot from working with angle grinders and my last job was working at a place machining threads with modified lathes all day, but I read about how bluing works a month ago and know that mant American guns have it and it will scratch off over time. Especially rubbing in the holster for a few years.
Hello Ticking watch : during assembly , the plastic part attached to the stop pusher which will stop the second fly off ( probably out of the window ). Do you know where I can get hold of the plastic part ?
@@tickingWATCH Thanks . Actually, I got a spare Balance assembly by purchasing a Cal 24 Ruhla watch. But just for the plastic parts, buying a Ruhla chronograph is rather expensive. Now , the top pusher is OK, it reset the second hand. But the second pusher without the plastic part is not working . It is a pity . I service the Chronograph and with a new balance assembly , I managed to regulate it to relatively good accuracy . I will look at E-bay everyday to try my luck
@@tickingWATCH Yes, that is one . The other is to machine out the piece from a plastic material. Thanks for all the information. Your Video is a great one. Cheers
Finally , I machined 3 pieces out of Delrin material ( Plastics ) and I fine tune the part to fit the slot of the top plate and file a slot to attach the spring. The Chrono function now is perfectly in order. If you need one piece of this part , let me know. I can send it to you FOC
I had the same watch. But after 7 months it didnt work. The reason was that the bearings were worn out. A watchmaker told me that the quality of the bearings were really bad. A fixing was not possible. How long did your Chronograph run ?
I think these movements were not meant for repair or to last long, because they had no jewels in there. After some time of use the pins or the holes were worn out, the watch became totally unreliable with accuracy or completely stopping after a while of run and could not be repaired (or not easily for sure).
Thanks for your opinion I really appreciate it. Unfortunately, they should be cheap and after some time you should buy a new one, a method before quartz watches take over this role 😀
Surprisingly these were very resilient and as long as you don't break pivots or force use beyond needing a clean and lubricate they could bounce back into timekeeping very easily and you just used it til it became unreliable again. The actual servicing of these involved lighter fluid or naptha and some oil, stickier the better and the whole movement with dial would be put into a dish or saucer, naptha poured in to just under the dial and allowed to soak for a good while, sometimes given a shake and resoaked, then shaken to remove the last vestiges of dirt and allowed to air dry and a lint cloth to wipe the hairspring free of any liquids then all the moving parts oiled up, movement back into case and its up and running again. Of course the balances did wear out but you just bought a new one for a couple marks and off it would go again as the balance pivots would wear quicker than the pivot settings would, of course you could buy several repair parts to replace pivotry seating and mainsprings, very clever design out-Timexing Timex for cheapness whilst still returning pretty good precision and timekeeping :D
Very good job with that watch! You have inspired me to repair 4 of my ruhla watches, and now they are working
Thanks, I really appreciate it and I'm glad that I could help 😀
Thx for this video , have a lot of Ruhla watches and this video shows me all wgat i need to know !
Thanks, I really appreciate it, and good luck with your collection 👍
great video as always - thanks
the plastic pusher has the shape of a wedge, and when pressed, it becomes a spacer between the bridge and the wheel
Thank you 😀

Take a look at Orient bracelets - I think they have some options for reasonable price.

Also thank you and if you have any suggestion about content feel free to share 👍
A tip : watch movies on flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching all kinds of movies lately.
@Nico Kabir Yup, I have been watching on flixzone for months myself =)
It looks as though the clutch on the chronograph wheel needs to be adjusted so that the movement is not stopped when the plastic stop is actuated
Yes this one is quite tricky 😀
how did u open the watch? i have the exact same here but cant open it.
great video!!

Może najpierw sprawdzić luz na balansie i w razie czego uregulować śrubką od strony tarczy. Sprawdź też sprężynę włosową balansu. 👍

Tray eBay, check links in the description down below but to find only one part for this one will be a challenge, good luck 👍

For some reason the 3 little pins from the gears don´t really fit in the holes and they keep falling. Any tips?
practice because when there is everything ok with the pivots they will fit

WHAT bearings? There are none. He might have meant the pivots on the cogs. Should send it to ticking watch for parts.
