There are 2 main reasons Prong did not get the recognition and comercial succes it deserved: insuficient or inefficient promotion, and the fact that a large % of people listening to music are superficial and would rather follow trends blindly. Prong was allways original, and Tommy should do whatever he wants musicaly. That's what keeps a band's identity. I really hope the new album will be a financial success for Tommy so we can have more Prong in the future. Prong rules!

It’s too bad too because Prong did it better than all of them imo. They were just ahead of the game and didn’t get to reap the benefits by the time people cared.

I agree with you. I think Tommy would've had better success if he would've found someone to take over at vocals. Not knocking his vocals, no, but his style and sound on guitar was a level up on his vocals. Could you imagine Prong with ex Killswitch vocalist Howard. A guy like that would challenge Tommy's artistry and put him up another level in the process. Hey, I could dream, lol. I saw Prong on their Beg to Differ tour with Flotsam & Jetsam in Phoenix many years ago, one of my top 3 concert experiences ever. Hope Prong find all the success they deserve.

I've been a Prong fan since Beg To Differ and feel Tommy/Prong is still one of the biggest underrated bands around. Still one of my favourite bands!

Tommy has said over the years that from Beg to Rude Awakening each record sounded so different that it was a detriment. I get he feels it hurt their success, but as a fan, I love it. One of my favorite series of records of any band.

Prong didn't get the recognition they deserve but Tommy should be proud. Would be great to see them in London next time..

Of course Tommy should be proud. Prong is a legacy band and influenced most relevant metal bands in the nineties. And a lot of newer bands have Prong elements and dont even know, influenced indirectly through other bands that chased the Prong sound.

@@undeilumetoporu Me included. I have been very influenced by Prong in the music I make. Tommy was obviously very influenced by Killing Joke, and so it goes on. I love Prong!!

Love State Of Emergency since it was released. Still in heavy rotation on my play list along with Beg to Differ and The Cleansing.

Darnn, Tommy looks younger everytime I see him. Great live. Hope he brings the band through Phoenix sometime soon. Maybe hook up with local band Soulfly and Max Cavalera, that would be a sick show for sure

One of the reason Prong has never made it to the top is Tommy's attitude. He has always been a downer and a complainer fishing for credits. I remember seeing him live in the 90s and the whole set he complained to the crowd that we didn't displayed enough enthusiasm, everyone was looking at each other like wtf is he talking about, everyone was having a good time. Then complaining about the soundman and giving crap on the mic. We wanted to have a good time but we got out of there puzzle and pretty bummed out about the show. Being a cool a positive dude will help you rise to the top, the inverse will just make people forget about you.
