The reason you see blurry at %125 scaling is anti-aliasing. If you are going to use high scaling, it will remove jagged lines anyway, so just close the anti aliasing. %100 render scaling will have the highest quality-performance combo. What higher scaling does is a very expensive anti-aliasing and further render distance(at higher scaling trees and signs in the distance will render in a higher quality version. Observed at %100 vs %300). But if you are going to use a heavy headlight mod for ai traffic and have a much denser traffic along with increased traffic visibility distance, the performance loss from scaling isnt worth it. I played in a machine with 2080ti and 4.6ghz 9700k with 2k 144hz screen. With the mods i mentioned %200-%300 was good as %400 i think was lower than 60fps.

im happy playing on 1440p with 400% scaling, antialiasing to ultra, unlimited mirror distance and 10k shadow resolution :) and all that with only a 1070 ti
The key is to play that Hungary map you are playing. The detail and clutter in that map is so much above anything else in the base game. I spent a half hour the other day comparing places from it to real life and I'm surprised so much detail went into all the little villages. Shame it was never finished.

ATS this helped me smooth out my fps hard drops ... i get a lot of drops because i use american truck stops and DP's realistic traffic RST ... which pretty much adds tons and tons of vehicles and trucks and well with that we know frame rate loss ... therefore i still get a few hard drops in areas but the importance you stated about the scaling and mirror distance draw was very helpful for me. Thank you so much for this video! I was getting so frustrated trying to find the ideal settings for both graphics and performance and now thanks to your video, I've finally found it. You explain everything very well and in easy to understand terms for non-techies like me, thanks again!!
I'd thinks that what SCS should've given for ten years old amazing game to evolved into that. As I know there'll be no Euro Truck simulator 3. But that doesn't stop there for Euro truck Simulator 2! That what makes the game is an amazing game
I use the realistic graphics mod in ets and in ats but in ats I also add the enhanced vegetation mountain terrain and realistic roads from the steam workshop
Well, that´s certainly for highspec rigs... the statement "the other settings don´t do too much performnce wise" is only true if your rig is made for max-settings or near that... stuff like shadow quality and quite a few others can make a huge difference for little changes in quality on medium and low rigs... and I betcha, many people who are watching videos like this want to know exactly that: which setting does what for how much performance impact :)
Fair point, but I would start with the settings I go through as those are the "big blocks". If you're in a tweaking mood you can always minmax the other settings, but for a beginner the biggest impact settings should be enough to start with. 👍
ive been on ets for 4 years and always struggled trying to find the right graphics settings so buildings and trees in the distance didnt look pixelated. this video helped a lot and solved my issue thank you
Use the same settings. Thanks for vid though. Maybe you can do a mods TUT next. Show Load order to mods ( the way you stack them etc ). Should have shown in this vid The NaturalLux and NG in you mods list ( so people can see how to add and order ).
Great Video. My low End Pc with Rx 570 8GB can easily handle 400% and everything set to Ultra (including Mirrors). I get constant 50+ fps. Luckily you do not need that powerful of a Pc to handle this game ^^
Nice video. I downloaded Naturalux yesterday to try your settings and it no longer works and the guy who made it is apparently no longer updating it. The best graphics mod I can find that works is Frkn's Realistic Graphics 5.2
I tried the NaturaLux and Project Next-Gen mods but it was choppy and froze. So I removed all the Project Next-Gen to see what would happen, and using the settings you suggested and the NaturaLux mods, everything is working great and all looks fantastic. Thanks for vid and mods, the game looks so much better now :)
Just looked at your pc specs, got a few notes: - Haven't you run out of space on your drives yet? Seems like a rather low amount. Then again, I'm managing a 120GB SSD myself and barely ever have to use the HDD I have 😄 - I feel like upgrading your motherboard might be a good idea. If you're in the EU, I heard the MSI B450 Mortar Max is really good. - Could get some better RAM. I find that GSkill has better frequencies and latency than Corsair at a better price. So maybe TridentZ Neo 3600 MHz C16. Even 32 GB is rather affordable if you're running a R7. - Maybe also mention PSU? Can't be cheaping out on it 😉
@@RaysSim oh man that sucks. Must be a connection issue. Try downloading at a different time or from a different connection to see if it works. Good luck!
Too bad installing NaturalLux is an absolute pain in the ass, for some reason the "devs" decided to limit the download speed to my country and even using vpn is literally impossible to download, even worse since their servers doesn't support pause or redownloads if your net ticks just once all the download goes into the trash, what a disaster. Damn your pc is a beast!!! I really enjoyed the video!!! However my friends who weren't able to buy the game asked me if they could create separate profiles and I allowed them to, and BANG, from then every time I launched the game it used to work perfectly but after 3-5 mins it just crashes and gone!!! I had to relaunch the game and it wouldn't even save my progress, and also this used to happen even when I lowered my graphics to medium I mean I was shocked!! But later when I deleted all profiles and just started a new one no lags, no crashes at all!!! And seriously it worked!! I don't know what logic is this but man if you have any idea pls tell!!

been looking for some graphics settings in ets2 for my gtx 1650. and ppl said i can get 90-102fps if i put everything to ultra and scaling to 100% and disabling anti-aliasing. and well.. before i got 40-54fps after putting everything to ultra (including scaling and putting it to 400% scaling). now i put it on 100% scaling.. and well i got good image quality and fps :) thanks!
If you want antialiasing with a smaller impact on performance you can go in the Nvidia control panel, or AMD for who has, select to per program settings, find ETS2 or ATS and select antialiasing FXAA. Disable MSAA from game. FXAA might look a bit different, since it's a different algorithm, but it's a bit lighter at performance.

what is your GPU, CPU and how many GB;s of RAM?
rip my PC, it has trouble handling medium graphics 😅
Great video anyway :)
Haha good luck finding your combo!
Time to start saving
a secret on youtube, I have to click
😂
The key is to play that Hungary map you are playing. The detail and clutter in that map is so much above anything else in the base game. I spent a half hour the other day comparing places from it to real life and I'm surprised so much detail went into all the little villages. Shame it was never finished.
i can play on medium and on high with a bit of lag
and im running
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3,00ghz overclocked to 3,60ghz
Radeon HD5500
and 8gb of ddr2 ram
Thanks for sharing! This will help some folks who have a similar setup.
Get an GTX 750 2GB from aliexpress, it should help a lot.
I’ve overclocked my GTX 550 ti to heck but it runs well and you can get one for around $50
@@evansorensen Nah man. 550 Ti is very hot card. Besides GTX 750 takes only 50 Watts from power supply, runs cool and you can get one for 50$ too on aliexpress. Besides it's much more powerful than 550 Ti.
@@TheClumsyGeekGaming had the same cpu wuth 4 gb of ddr2 1066 @ 3,6 ghz and hd7850...it ran smooth
I dont use any of the other mods mentioned, however my game doesnt look that terrible to me and i use other mods. thank you the information.
Glad to hear it helped. Enjoy man!
Thank you! New subscriber here 👍🏻 sounds like u are filipino
Awesome welcome! Yessir!
Ok I've never tried it but thanks for telling us because I'm on a 60hz computer and it had really bad graphics so it can finally do the job so I can finally play it in peace.
4:08 only at 125% that is high for my computer 😂
All good all good!
Nice, for my laptop it would blow up everything if I would set 50%
If i set it max, will graphic be better?
@@t-90ashtora-16 yes, but fps will take a huge hit. You'll need to find the right balance for your system.
Its 400% now but graphics are still bad, they need sharpness
Just got the car with my wheel coming tomorrow can’t wait. But yeah after changing my scaling to 400% there was a big difference have a 3060ti so wasn’t worried about frame rate on a pretty old game but it looks amazing and runs great as well. Definitely will try in VR may need to change some settings around.
Great to hear. Enjoy!
Hey! How much fps do you get with your RTX3060ti?
at 5120x1440 resolution i cant really play 400% scaling xD
Thank you so much for this video! I was getting so frustrated trying to find the ideal settings for both graphics and performance and now thanks to your video, I've finally found it. You explain everything very well and in easy to understand terms for non-techies like me, thanks again!!
That's so great to hear. Happy to help! Enjoy!
these mod can play on truckermp?
Unfortunately not. Only the graphics settings can work.
I really like your voice it's so nice and calm keep it up bro
Thanks man. Glad to hear it!
Thanks alot bro you really made my game more fun it worked perfectly
Great to hear. Enjoy!
Great video voice is so soothing :)
Thanks a lot, my game looks amazing now with the scaling on 400.
Fantastic video Clumsy. Thank you for the help
Thanks! Good to know.
Sounds like a good combo, too. Glad it works for you. 👍
Thanks for the video! Watching now.
Thanks!
ive been on ets for 4 years and always struggled trying to find the right graphics settings so buildings and trees in the distance didnt look pixelated. this video helped a lot and solved my issue thank you
You are a legend Clumsy. Great vid!
Hey man thanks for dropping by. Awesome content you have!
Use the same settings. Thanks for vid though. Maybe you can do a mods TUT next. Show Load order to mods ( the way you stack them etc ). Should have shown in this vid The NaturalLux and NG in you mods list ( so people can see how to add and order ).
Hmm yeah good point. I think I'll do that next. Thanks!
@@TheClumsyGeekGaming looking forward to a mod load order, think that will help a lot of people with a tutorial
Check out the pinned comment here for an overview of my load order. 👍
Thank you brother, now i can play this game.. i love u so much😁
Glad to hear man. Enjoy!
What if my graphics card is UHD 620 from intel
Does it really change anything
The sum of the video:
Set the scale to 400% and the rest to ULTRA. Download 4K mods + RESHADE and type into the console : " r_device " that's it ...
Great Video. My low End Pc with Rx 570 8GB can easily handle 400% and everything set to Ultra (including Mirrors). I get constant 50+ fps. Luckily you do not need that powerful of a Pc to handle this game ^^
Oh that's great! Yes especially without mods, it's not a picky game at all.
How is it possible ? Can you explain what settings did you use ?
Realy good tutorial.. So i can play ets with amazing view.. Look natural.. Big thank my friend..
Nice video. I downloaded Naturalux yesterday to try your settings and it no longer works and the guy who made it is apparently no longer updating it. The best graphics mod I can find that works is Frkn's Realistic Graphics 5.2
You talk like the Randy savage of the trucksim world. Great video, thanks :)
Many thanks for your time and effort and very useful information
I tried the NaturaLux and Project Next-Gen mods but it was choppy and froze. So I removed all the Project Next-Gen to see what would happen, and using the settings you suggested and the NaturaLux mods, everything is working great and all looks fantastic. Thanks for vid and mods, the game looks so much better now :)
Oh that's great! Glad it worked for you and you found the right combination for your system. Enjoy!
@@TheClumsyGeekGaming Will do, and thank you again :)
The Naturalux comparison is an eye opener. Looks like I need to butcher some more FPS and try it 😉
Haha yes! Well worth the effort of installing it.
@@TheClumsyGeekGaming I just closed my eyes here again. Registration on 2 (or more? 1000?) fora, WTF.
@@Tortuosit haha yes. The downloading / installation turns off a lot of people. But if you manage to get through it, the rewards are worth it imo.
@@TheClumsyGeekGaming Trying it again. So it was 2 forum registrations. Download runs fine, yay...
It is lovely, it runs great, maybe regular fps drops, but: it's pretty bright
Nice reflection
I like the hungarian sign.
Just looked at your pc specs, got a few notes:
- Haven't you run out of space on your drives yet? Seems like a rather low amount. Then again, I'm managing a 120GB SSD myself and barely ever have to use the HDD I have 😄
- I feel like upgrading your motherboard might be a good idea.
Can't be cheaping out on it 😉
It's working fine for now, but yes if some of those give out, it'll be the perfect time to replace them. Thanks for the tips 👍.
thx for helping me out with the graphics!! i went thru soooo many vids and this one actually helped me out thx!
Great to hear. Enjoy!
@@TheClumsyGeekGaming wow thx!
Can't wait to see NaturaLux for ATS. Still not available.
Yes, you guys will love it when it's out!
Thanks for sharing buddy.
Great video man👍
Legend mate thank you
My pleasure!
Tried all morning today to try get naturlax but was broken files each time ... was gutted
@@RaysSim oh man that sucks. Must be a connection issue. Try downloading at a different time or from a different connection to see if it works. Good luck!
@@TheClumsyGeekGaming just got it :) was file 2 kept stopping early it seems
@@RaysSim grats!
Thanks for yours secrets!! I have tried Naturalux and it's fantastic! :-)
Glad you like it!
Still great channel man just found it today, you earned a new sub 👍
Thanks man. Yeah downloading can be a pain, unfortunately. Hopefully it goes faster for you sometime. Good luck!
Thank you very much for thuis video! 😬🤞
Hope it helped somehow!
@@TheClumsyGeekGaming ofcourse!! Everyday before sleep, I watch a video from you 😍🤞 goodnight from the Netherlands (0:07 AM)
Great video, liked and Subbed!!
Great to hear thanks!
i have 2080ti and i run 1440p max everything and the game looks awesome!
With a 2080ti, yes maybe you can evsn launch the game to the moon 😅. Grats!
Clumsy very good video though! Watched it to help my friend out! Good job!
Damn your pc is a beast!!! I really enjoyed the video!!! But lemme tell u something strange when I play ETS2
so actually when I initially bought and played ETS2, I had no issues whatsoever even with ultra graphics and it was really smooth gameplay...
Hmm yeah that's sounds weird! I have plenty of profiles but they don't negatively impact each other. You might need to consult scs with that one.
@@TheClumsyGeekGaming Yep I did, they just said to update graphic driver, but then now that I only have one profile it's fine for me, but thanks a lot for your reply man it really means a lot!!
Really useful video but I ended up with malware on my pc when I tried to download Project Next-Gen mod. Be careful!
Stay safe, physically and virtually! Yeah those links sites can be quite tricky.
"Mo' mirrors, mo' problems"
True lol
all these mods take a lot of fps right? so if yore low end pc user better not be messing w mods
Hi Clumsy
Congrats for all your work with ETS 2 Mods. Fantastic vídeos and how mods work.
However I must say that DL of Naturalux is very, very, very complicated I give up.
Thanks! And yes, unfortunately NL really has a complicated process. I guess that's a sort of filter/gate.
I wish I could use these mods.
I play ETS2MP exclusively though, so guess I'm out of luck.
But I did tweak my graphics settings a bit with your help and made the game look a bit better than it used to :)
Great to hear. Enjoy mp! I'm just starting to explore it myself.
@@TheClumsyGeekGaming mp is fun, until you are about to deliver a 2000+km load and someone rams into you, making the whole trip worthless. But luckily the mods do as great job keeping it a nice place for everyone and ban those who ram on purpose, but accidents do happen sometimes.
@@evolgrinz3202 haha yes I can imagine. 😅
How can I also tweak my graphics? If you are kind enough
@@LordiGFX in the 1st part of the video he tells you how to tweak the graphics without mods.
I got 3 4k screens and with these mods it looks like what i normally would have with 1 screen without mods..
been looking for some graphics settings in ets2 for my gtx 1650. and ppl said i can get 90-102fps if i put everything to ultra and scaling to 100% and disabling anti-aliasing. and well.. before i got 40-54fps after putting everything to ultra (including scaling and putting it to 400% scaling). now i put it on 100% scaling.. and well i got good image quality and fps :) thanks!
Awesome. Enjoy!
Well presented and informative video. Thanks
Me watching this video at 240p "yep theres a huge change in the grafiks".
Thanks man your video really useful
Great to hear. Happy to help!
Great video, I still can’t. Get my graphics like u
Meanwhile, me, with 600 fps ultra 1080p.
