@@grandadz_forge If you can safely mount it to a desk it might work. Make sure to get a pair of didymium glasses, set up ventilation, flashback arrestor, and check out my safety video ua-cam.com/video/svt-SoN05ec/v-deo.html I wouldn't worry about a kiln for now.
@@MattJasa yep I'm a blacksmith with a torch workstation set up anyway. I have a vermiculite chamber for annealing and just bought a kiln. I just need didymium googles. Thanks!
Yea the 9" cube. I wanted the cube for a good range in size. The shorter/wide kiln's might be generally a better choice as long as your project fits through the door.
Hey Mike, sorry I don't have a phone to get message notifications so it takes me awhile to respond. Great job with your recent work. I can really see improvement from what you did in June. Your animal sculpting looks great! I can see you going far with sculptures, but it's up to you with what you have the most fun with. Looking forward to seeing more of your glass!
This looks interesting.
Thank you Chucky!
My wife and I just took a glass blowing class for fun. I'm hooked.
Very cool Grandadz Forge! Let me know if you have any questions if your planning to set up your own glass studio.
@@MattJasa lol. Don't worry i already have questions. For starters, can i use a rosebud until getting a proper torch?

Could you calibrate that and somehow use it to measure tempuratures?
It should work like a thermometer, just needs some markings on the open end.
Remember to share your favorite episode on your social media so you won't have to hear me sing again!

@@zacpackman9186 Haha not a problem Zac, the socials need more glass science! Flood away 🧠🌊🌊
Is that a Jen-Ken kiln?

At this point I'm beginning to think you're subtly trolling me with the borocop helmet. Great content though!
Haha, nah I bought these new shades but their not dark enough, for small things it's fine but overall I need more darkness. Borocop is here to stay!
You’re the Bill Nye for glass blowing haha
Haha thanks Alex. I used to watch Bill Nye when I was younger. He was good at making science fun.
