  • At just a week and a half, a beautiful foal named Epona gets her first taste of fun in a grass paddock. Lisa Gaudio and her husband Jimmy can't get enough of this feisty girl and her antics at their Chadds Ford farm.

Made me cry, I had to give up my amazing Appaloosa when I was a young adult because of my finances, but sadly I was unable to find him in time. He developed cancer in his eye and was put down sometime during his teens. I am glad to see that this beautiful mare is able to live on through her foals.

I had a mare that developed cancer in her right eye due to a mesquite thorn, but I took her to Texas A&M and they did surgery and chemo and got it all. She lived a long time.

I am deeply touched by your wonderful
plan, resulting in these three beautiful
foals. I love the fact that you still see your
    beloved horse through the foals.

Not Secretariat! When he was a baby He by no means gave any clue he was a runner! It was just the opposite LOL During his first year, He spent majority of his pasture turn out time laying flat out on the grass, sound asleep. They began to believe something might be wrong with him. It was not until his autopsy revealed his heart was almost 3x the size of a normal thoroughbred’s heart. Than they understood why he slept all the time as a youngster. True story.

My heart horsecwas zigfelds ace... he has foals and now grand grand foals... I miss him everyday... but I never "owned" him... his beautiful generous loving owner was a lady in maryland... he was worth 7 figures in 1970s... bloodlines doing back 6 generations... but he was a royal stunning and truly gifted.... asshiole... lol
If zig didn't approve of u... ummm just RUN. he was a stunningly bred grand champion who did in no way tolerate human who considered him just a piece of sporting eqequipment.. he was his "mommas" best boy until a plane crash rendered her paraplegic. They had been training fir an Olympic bid... but when his owner Marisol could no longer ride her family opted to allow him to go on without her due to his bloodlines and his gift.. 6 riders kater... no one would go near him... he refused all even with Marisol there he was iffy to riders with heave hand active crops and hard heels. You only got one chance with him... it was after one stable hand died from his injuries he was classified incorrigible even tho he didn't cause the guys death, the guy got super drunk one Sunday and decided he was going to "BRAKE THAT UPPITY NAG"... ZIG TOOK 15 MINUTES OF HIM SLSMMING HIM AND BEATING HIM WITH A LED TIPPED CROP Used often back then when he flipped with the guy who wasen in. Saddle and the guy hit his head on the indor arena wall ledge. He lived 18 months after the fall but died of his injuries. Zig came to my boarding stable to hide incase the law wanted him sdestroyed. That's where this big mean heartless stallion... met... me... 12 years old and ntuz... for greys... I had been warned about him... he chased everyone away from his stall and it took 3 people to set him to paddock from stall. One day I was riding my horse and was alone at the stable when a monster thunderstorm rolled in, I ran for the brood mare paddock dodging hail and booms to get all the mommas in, only one left was zig... at 22vmy coach only allowed me to handle the mommas and of course my horse but zig was out, no one came and I was life screw this he needs safe. I grabbed the stud chain lead and ran to the gate and he came to me, I hooked him up open the gate and he literally DRAGGED me into the barn lol. But... he didn't Kung at N r, kick or bite at me, or show any real agrssionat all. He just wanted in. Needless to say, I was in deep crap with the stable owner for even touching him.. he called Marisol and told her the situation and 3 days later she was there. Zig snuggled her and whistled at her like she was his mommy. I was watching figuring I just lost my stall site for breaking stable #1 "don't do it" rule. But when I went to sneak out zig whistled ant ends up... he was calling me... I didn't see it but Marisol who raised "Mr ugg" as in uggg I gotta mess with that stallion... after 3 test exits and him repeating the hey you get over here whijer, Marisol title not mine. I went over and after apologizing to her for handling her expensive horse without training or permission... zig started playin with his lips in my hair. And shooting me in the neck,,, also known as horse raspberries. 😂 Marisol booked own intears, told me to halter him and bring him to the indoor arena much to the disapproval of my coach the stable owner, with Marisol there he pranced like a puppy.. while he was in arena Marisol told me only if I felt safe doing so, to go step up on the mounting stairs.. when I did she gave zig a command in different language snd he sidled up to the stairs for me to hop on... got to admit.. I chickened out on a full mount but I felt OK leaning over him applying my massive 70 pounds over his back...lol. I'm 63 now.. and besides Marisol I was the only person to event on him... zig passed away in 1996 at 29 years old. Maiso followed soon after at the age of a young 54... I wish I boould have had his sperm iuv. With my mare. Ot have him clones like with dotty the sheep, you have three glowing memories of kyria elasion, blessings and deepest joy from Texas... Arabians are forever in your heart

Yeah Click Bait. Trying to bill it as a horse birthing unheard of triplets. When in reality it's three separate horses, having one foal each. Granted the use of surrogacy in horses is a medical break through. I can understand why ranchers don't want to risk certain mares with pregnancy if they are high value animals. But they really need to correct their presentation of this article.
