It's a rule that Hasbro uses for all the licensed Monopoly variations. The corner spaces use the same iconic designs, no matter what the theme is. The GO space is slightly different here, since it has the collect 2 coins and boss fight instructions added, but aside from that, it uses the same font and red arrow as the standard GO space.
It stood out to me the most in the mandalorian variant, where the "free parking" space really stood out with it's classic design. That made me wonder if there's actually a legal reason why those stay the same
The idea of being able to expand the range of character tokens and abilities via DLC bags was pretty interesting. I know when I bought the Mario Kart edition, I specifically bought Yoshi for my mom to play as.
@@ego-lay_atman-bay The version I bought had 4 characters, Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad. The rest could be bought in individual bags. To be clear, Monopoly Gamer: Mario Kart was a separate game from Monopoly Gamer. Although the rules were similar, the pieces couldn't be used with both games.
Its because the super mario monopoly was already exist called monopoly super mario, so this monopoly is called the monopoly gamer, not the monopoly mario. Because they don't want the similiar same title for the monopoly for their two types of monopoly.
I have this and have played it several times. It's honestly pretty fun. It's more like Mario Party than Monopoly and moves fast enough that there's barely any bartering or bankruptcy.
I remember in high school my friend got this out and whoever played Yoshi would DOMINATE the game since he could pick up every coin on the field to the point where he was banned and even melted in his microwave lmao
I kinda play with special Rules where if all coins the player owns is gone and they take one more hit when no coins are present then they are knocked out. Kinda like Solo Play in Mario Party 5 where you had to eliminate the Koopa Kids by dropping their coin count to 0.
Fair enough. But what about the points earned by the knocked out player? Will the one who knocked them out receive them, or will they be returned to the bank?
I still don't get the thing about Boss Fights..if the original player chooses not to fight and passes the card to the next player who then does fight but loses, does the original player get to choose to fight this time or is it only the one round?
Is King Kong's ability - 'stealing' 3 coins from each same as simply taking 3 coins from each without resistance? Or it's literally stealing without their knowledge? If u steal from one player the others might get alert, so wanted to check!
I like these Monopoly with coins, I have Monopoly Villains and I was thinking of getting this Monopoly version too because I personally prefer coins to the Monopoly money.
My variation: You get 3 shots at getting out of jail for free, else you pay 5 coins. You go bankrupt if you cannot afford to pay and can't sell anything.
The game is good fun but different characters make different level od advantage of the game. Most importantly, the coins are never enough for more than 3 boss. Does anyone know where i cam get more coin, please?

I like how literally every property, space, and game mechanic is themed around Mario, but the Jail space is exactly the same lmao

Why they didn't just call it Monopoly Mario is a mystery to me
Its because the super mario monopoly was already exist called monopoly super mario, so this monopoly is called the monopoly gamer, not the monopoly mario. Because they don't want the similiar same title for the monopoly for their two types of monopoly.
Because of how differently it plays to regular Monopoly. That and there already is a Mario version of Monopoly
@@theluckygamer10 Monopoly Mario 2 💀
Because it's not just Mario, Monopoly Gamer itself has other editions too.
Multiple Monopoly Gamer sets were being worked on. There's also Monopoly Gamer: Mario Kart and Monopoly Gamer: Sonic the Hedgehog.
Pretty sure the rules say you can trigger the Movement Die and Powerup Die in any order.
Or they do for the Collector's Edition, anyway.
The reminder card shown in the video also mentions it can be done in any order.

I actually own this myself! It's too bad you can't find any gamer packs nowadays...

I got this for Christmas one year; it's a fun game.
Oh man, I have memories with this game. I created a Battle Royale version of this, too.
I have all of the gamer ones except for this one and the collectors one of this. Looks cool though.
What happens if there are multiple players on the next clockwise space when you trigger the green shell? They all get hit? Or you choose who gets it?
I always choose to let the player who gets the shell choose. Its not monopoly if you arent destroying your friendships.
I'd say to let them choose.
At 0:40, you don’t have to move first. You can choose the order you want to use the dice.
in my instuction manuel, it says taht you can use the dices in any order
