A few updates…
-The Covergirl essence didn’t last very well on my skin. I want to test it out with a few of my long-wearing primers to see if that helps but it definitely broke apart and started looking oily after about four hours. It could have been the primer so I’m going to wear them more separately to know for sure!
-The mascara and brow pen both wore perfectly all day long. I didn’t have any issues with smudging or flaking with the mascara.
-The blush and bronzer were both very long-wearing. I think they will pair better with more of a long-wearing foundation too so I’m looking forward to using them even more. The bronzer swatches online are definitely different than the bronzer in person so keep that in mind.
-The elf Pout Clout was super comfortable. It lasted fairly well for more of a glossy finish but it did wear off with eating and drinking throughout the day. It’s really moisturizing and I definitely want to try additional shades.
-Still love the essence lip oil! Definitely on the way to becoming a top favorite
I got the cover girl skin tint too light as well, what I have been using it for lately is if I’m going from day to night makeup I use 1 pump of CG over the foundation I used in the day to “ refresh “ and it somehow pulls everything back together. Hope that makes sense.
The tint worked terrible on me. Just sat on top of my skin. Made dry parts look more dry esp around the nose. Sadly I returned it. I got light-medium. It seemed orange for me too
Andréa I bought the shades Pinky Out and Bust a Mauve in the Pout Clouts and love them!! Bust a Mauve is such a beautiful shade, it’s more like a brown-tone mauve, you would really like it! Pinky up is gorgeous as well, not too pink at all! I really like them even though I’ve seen mixed reviews on them , I’ve never had any patchiness with and I’ve worn them a ton already!! Can’t wait til your next review on the rest of your products❤️
I’ve noticed that the covergirl goes on much better with minimal products underneath. I usually just use my spf and a little primer on my nose. The only time I used more primer with it I noticed that it didn’t blend as well and it did break apart after a bit.

I love the covergirl. I put a pea size of clinique even better and half a pump of the covergirl. Blend in with my fingers. Looks so good, and not much looks good on my 51 year old skin. 😊

I skip the bottom lashes & have for idk a couple years & that w/ a nude liner makes the eyes look SO big- I love it. 💕

I haven’t had any foundations sit well on my skin either and have started using L’Oréal infallible powder foundation and it’s been amazing
That CG product has become an absolute favourite! When I wear another foundation my skin doesn’t look as good. Now I’m interested in trying the Chanel?!

I’m fair and really cool toned so I love a rosy bronzer. It looks really natural on me since when I get sun I get more of a rosy color. When I first saw the Nyx bronzers I was super excited, but unfortunately they look more peachy than pink toned like they do online. 😢 But a great formula for anyone wanting peachy ones!

I feel that same about foundation lately! My skin type has changed so much and I hate the way foundation has been looking on my skin.

Yay! I love watching your videos. So I have some thoughts and tips on the Covergirl Essence. Yes, go up a shade. It blends best, when you use your hands to apply it to your face. I'm a brush girl through and through BUT this is my exception. The warmth from rubbing it with the fingers, it does something to it. When I'm done with my makeup, I notice that shortly after, it looks better than when I freshly applied it. I hope that helps :)

I love that Covergirl foundation . I put it on with a brush. I dont blend it on my hand . I just tap the brush in it & blend on my face & my face looks flawless. I got 30 Light medium & it was perfect color on me but lm a bit darker than you. It looks darker in the bottle than it does on the skin

I actually really liked the look you ended up with! The eyes are right in between 'no makeup' and 'done up' ... I'm a fan of monochromatic looks, too, so that's probably part of it. 😌I *do* see where you're coming from with the "mixed up" products though. If anything maybe the lip was too much... I think this same look, minus the blush, and with a Rare Beauty glossy balm or Makeup by Mario lip serum could be awesome! 👀

I liked the covergirl so much that I went back to get a darker shade to mix with fair. I think the coverage is actually better than light. I do spot concealer but it looks so good on the skin. No caking, no clinging to dry patches. Love.

@@AndreaMatillano I’m reaching for it more than any high end right now and I’m shocked. I just wish they would have mixed the pigment in to begin with because I find that a pain but I get that that’s part of the marketing draw.
have had the essence lip oil for a while now, i’ve got the orange honey shade. it’s very nice, but gets gloopy quick 😂
also, it’s been really hard to find the catrice true skin concealer where i live lately 😭 do you have any concealer recommendations that are super similar to the true skin? ty 🥰❤️

How do you feel the nyx sunscreen compares to the elf sunscreens? I love the elf sunscreens and use those instead of primer. Is it as glowy as the elf whoa glow or similar to the matte one?

I LOVE the covergirl essence on days where I really don't want to put the effort into a face of makeup but need to not look like a blotchy mess, haha. I love it for my dry skin especially. Staying power is eh, but, it gets the job done for me
Yes! I feel like it really is nice for a quick, refreshed look. I’m curious to try it with the elf liquid poreless putty or even the power grip to see if it helps lock it in longer for me because I do love how it looks!
I need to find the Essence lip oil! I love their cranberry lip oil and am so sad that I can't find it anymore. I hope the new one is just as good
We tend to be shade matches for our skin and I got the CG in 30 which works pretty well. I heard they had run light so I took the risk. It's a beautiful product. I pair it with the tower 28 concealer to perfect.

Thank you so much for your kind comment! I actually did use box dye it's the Garnier Ulta Color in BR2 but this is what it looks like after it has faded for about a month. The dye is really vibrant for the first week or two so it ends up looking completely different. It has the same tone as the box but it's a darker base. Then it fades pretty fast and I end up with the color of my hair now until I dye it again!

I picked up the essence Hydra Kiss Lip Oil in Pink Champagne at the drugstore on a whim and was so impressed! Everyone is talking about the e.l.f. lip oils (I have those too and enjoy them) but I find this one from essence to be thicker, more hydrating, and longer lasting. In that same trip I picked up the essence 8 hour matte comfort lip liner in the shade 02 Silky Hazelnut and it has become my new favorite lip liner - the color is on point, the formula is so creamy and easy to apply since it's a twist top. I also have discovered Catrice and L.A. Girl somewhat recently (L.A. Girl is at CVS) and would love to see more reviews of their products. I've been eyeing JOAH and Kokie Cosmetics at the drugstore too but haven't purchased any of their products...Would be curious to hear your/everyone's thoughts! :)

I recently bought the NYX bronzer but I just don’t love it. It’s a little too pigmented to me and hard to blend. It’s an interesting cream texture m, it’s like a cream/powder hybrid. I don’t know if I will be reaching for it much
I don't think this years drugstore makeup is killing it compared to the hidden gems I am finding on Temu. I may try drugstore makeup in the summer. Beauty Glazed liquid blush on Temu is the best when it comes to a liquid blush by far.
Yeah temu has some real makeup gems and noone talks about them. There are certain brands that are all round winners like beauty glazed

I’ve seen a lot of videos on YT, but most of the time they get people in comments talking crap about TEMU being bad and the UA-camr being wrong for supporting them. Like chill, not everyone can afford to buy $20 Foundation at the freaking DRUGSTORE. I can’t believe drugstore prices these days!
I have been using just NYX bare with me concealer strategically, tired of foundation.
I found the CG one does not require as much moisturizer prior. It works better with no or very little product underneath. It also blends best with a brush.

The cheek shade does look very flattering but it seems more high-glam, if black winged liner and lashes had also been applied it would have balanced out the look nicely.
Yes! I feel like that would have made a difference. I had an eyeliner to test too so I should have applied it!

I won't wear a liquid blush because of the blush looking patchy or rubbing off all over the face. I am all powder. Looks nice on you!
I was so excited for what everyone was saying with the cover girl essence but I tried it and it broke up super quickly and didn't look good on my texture lol I know it doesn't claim to be long lasting but I didn't think it would be breaking up and showing my drier skin
I feel like it’s just not great for me in the spring/summer. 😭 I want to love it as much as other people but it doesn’t last that well on my skin either unfortunately.

The best mascara for bottom lashes is Clinique bottom lash mascara. My bottom lashes are basically nonexistent. Only problem is it only comes in black. I have been going back and forth with the new Essence lengthening mascara that you just used in brown and Max Stack in black. Love that Essence.
I remember trying that years ago and I really loved it! The small wand was perfect and I feel like more brands should make bottom lash mascaras like that! I might have to try the essence mascara in brown next. I’ve been having a hard time finding a true brown mascara!
Clio Kill lash makes a brown version. It has a small wand that works great especially for bottom lashes, I use it on my top lashes too. Comes off easily with my ELF cleansing balm.

I’m looking for a suuuuper neutral, even cool leaning if necessary powder bronzer that’s drugstore if anyone has any recommendations. I feel like everything I have, even ones I’ve used & liked lime bars laguna is pulling sooo warm & it’s just not flattering on me.
I know I don’t know why it’s so hard to find cooler bronzers/contours at the drugstore! I don’t know if you like creams but the elf luminous putty bronzer comes in a nice cooler tone that I love called Vacay Mood if we are around the same skintone!
Flower Beauty the baked one. One shade is warm the other is cool I can't remember which is which. I've also seen a L'oreal one in a huge pan (not the infallible one) but haven't used it. Also Milani silky matte has some neutral shades.

I am self tanning and Colourpop has some good bronzy products that I just received. Beautiful shadow 5 pan, 4 pan quad bronzer 2 blushes and gorgeous highlighter. The Lux gloss was bad. Wore off in a min.
Which eyeshadow palette did you grab? It’s been a little while since I’ve placed a ColourPop order so I might need to check out what’s going on over there! I agree with on their Lux gloss. 😭

I'm trying to find a new foundation because I always used matte but my skin changed as I aged I think I need something moisturizing now I'm think I will get wet n wild tinted hydrator I finished one of those and remember I liked it

Does the essence lip oil have a scent or taste to it? Does the lip oil feel more like a gloss or oil?
No taste which is nice but it does have a slight scent. It’s hard to place but I want to say slightly minty? Not fruity or sweet at all! It definitely leans more in the gloss direction but it’s not sticky! 💗
@@AndreaMatillano I was hoping it had a vanilla or fruity scent. How does this lip oil compare to elf lip oil?
The bronzer swatches on the website are not realistic. They all are warm, leaning into orange, red-ish undertones, and there is nothing natural in it. I'm disappointed but glad that I only bought one shade.
I also use less and less foundation, the only that i like is Sensai Luminious silk foundation and Lumene cc creme. I am not even interested to try new ones.
I tried the cover girl foundation and u should mention it has a very weird smell
I didn’t notice too strong of a scent when I wore it but that’s good to know! I’ll have to check again next time I wear it.

It definitely does! Surprisingly, these cheek products stayed so well and didn’t fade very much by the end of the day. That is definitely something I tend to struggle with though!
@@AndreaMatillano I envy you. Most of this intensity of make up would disappear in about 2 hours and it would look that I only applied the merest smidgeon.

I find foundations alone dont look good on my skin anymore, either. I mix half foundation, half tinted moisturizer and I’ve had much more success that way!
