As a diehard Nets fan, my dream Finals matchup would've been those Kidd/KMart/RJ teams vs the Nash/Stat/Shawn Suns. Two of the best point guards to ever do it, insane athleticism, elite defense vs elite offense.
Haha, 11:07, clssic picture of duncan pushing the opposing player down with his off hand so he could challenge the shot with his right- and never, ever got called for it. It's a rare day that I can say someone ever got the calls, and non calls that Tim Duncan did. I wonder how much worse he would've performed had he just got regulat, all-star level refereeing, and not a super-mega star whistle.
Yep listened for about 5 minutes, and I was done, never bring that idiot Jelani McCoy on ever again. MMHMM MMHMMMM MMM HMMMM!! fucking shutup dickhead.
Suns shouldve NEVER traded Matrix for Shaq! Their window was still WIDE open & they were in 1st in the West in the middle of 2008 i think. Nobody had their pace of play & it wouldve given the Lakers so many fits. By 2010, it was too late & the Lakers had better chemistry & thr Suns werent quite the same anymore.
Fun fact Suns make the playoffs 05-08 lose to the spurs 05, 07, 08 09 Shaq plays full season with suns they miss the playoffs 10 the suns go to the WCF beating the spurs 😂😂
If Tim Thomas would've stayed another year I think the Suns would've gotten past the Spurs and won a Ring but the a hole had to resign somewhere else 😤
Suns fd up so bad with this trade. All they had to do was play true to themselves, every playoffs they would slow down playing to the Spurs style instead of keeping it Suns basketball. Getting Shaq just made that worse.
I dont think Steve Kerr gets enough credit for blowing up that suns team by trading marion for washed up shaq. historically maybe the dumbest thing ever. Right up there with accepting washed up gail goodrich for magic johnson pick.
Wow bashing Flip Saunders plays because Terry Porter was trying to run them with a complete different roster makeup and way more talent overall, thats Flips fault for creating the plays and them being ran with the wrong guys? Wolves only had KG at the time and he always had little to no help. I get that you are saying these plays aren't right for this team but WTF does Flip Saunders a dead man have to do with the fact he's applying them to a bad situation? Flip took Wolves and Pistons deep into the playoffs. What did your suns do? Fail to meet expectations? Not live up to their talent level? Turn a good situation bad?
Not even a Suns guy, but this ep. was dope. Love Amin. This pod is a sleeper.
As a Suns fan this was awesome to watch
Remember the breakout performance Goran Dragic put on in route in sweeping San Antonio? 🎉
As a die-hard Suns fans during those years it was awesome to hear these behind the scenes stories. Keep up the great content!
The Suns of the mid 2000s inspired the basketball of today.
Facts. Big facts

Love the content Feel like this era of Basketball was notnlong before Basketball shifted in a different direction
I enjoy the part about Basketball Drills making NBA players upset. Just shows you how pampered NBA players are.
Great Stories! Love it! 👊

I stopped watching the Suns when Shaq was acquired.
Ouch lol
He wasn't a good fit for the fast paced team. He was old, overweight, and slow.
Fun fact
Suns make the playoffs
05-08 lose to the spurs 05, 07, 08
09 Shaq plays full season with suns they miss the playoffs
10 the suns go to the WCF beating the spurs
😂😂
@@Kalinbuggs
That act alone is just cause to remove Shaq from anybody's top 10 list.
@@marcusmosiahgarveysr4310 cmonn lol relax 😂

Nah that suns team didn’t play championship basketball. Great squad though
@@Sticktothemodels considering it takes an MVP to win a ring, they were probably closer to winning than we think
@sp123 it does not take a MVP to win. 2004 Pistons said yall boyz play basketball like lil girls
@@elbowgang9715 that was 20 years ago, most championship teams have a former MVP or former Finals MVP on the roster.
Yea right😂😂😂
Amin’s jump shot..
This video is longer than Shaq sun era
Respectfully, please stop interrupting guests.
Btw, Shaq and Steve blitzed Manu. Shaq didn’t drop on that play Tim cashed the trifecta.
Shaq did live in Germany as a child for a while so it is entirely possible he was in that movie.
If only Jason Richardson didn't get Nash's wife pregnant, he was playing great with them and they even reached the West Finals
What?
what
tony parker did that same thing same year
@@hitek9too255look it up. Nash went to the hospital and the baby was black.
I couldn’t sit through this

The lakers have 2002 vs kings
The spurs have 2007 vs suns
Horry benefited from both situations 😂🤦🏽♂️
Jelani McCoy everyone: 4.7 pts and 3.6 rbs over 6 years in the NBA followed by 8 years and 14 different teams across the G League and Europe.🙄
shaq trade is confusing
I dont think Steve Kerr gets enough credit for blowing up that suns team by trading marion for washed up shaq. historically maybe the dumbest thing ever. Right up there with accepting washed up gail goodrich for magic johnson pick.
**booooring**
The guy on the right really doesn’t add anything.., just a bunch of unnecessary comments and even his timing is off.
Mm-hmm
Terrible how this dude used to low key shit on Kobe………….and I’m not talking about Shaq
He did ? I don’t quite remember. Take me down memory lane
All these years i never knew Amin was involved like that lmao. I never have him his due credibility. Silly
