Imagine your chessboard as a beautiful canvas, full of potential. Every piece you move is like a gentle brushstroke. Sometimes, you might make a little blunder, like losing a pawn or missing an opportunity. That's okay, these are just happy little accidents. They give your game character and make it unique. You see, even the greatest chess players make mistakes. It's all part of the journey. What matters is how you recover and learn from them. Every game is a new chance to create something wonderful, so don't be afraid to make a few happy little blunders along the way. They might just lead you to a masterpiece.
In a world full of hype and demand, your considered approach is a joy. Always easy, and incredibly instructive, playing 'alongside ' you. Much appreciated. Ta
I love this channel. I come here every few months to get my ego stroked. These videos make me believe I'm some misunderstood chess wizard without the dozens of thousands of hours of practice necessary. It's brilliant! No shade on the creator, this is all in my head. :D Edit: So bro casually makes a rook sac at 9:34. My tiny mind = blown.
I love that you went in for the Polgar Rossolimo line just remembering the model game. That's how I inevitably end up remembering opening lines anyway! From fantastic model games!

Hi Jerry, whenever I am not able to sleep at night some times, I turn to your GM game analysis and rapid games videos like this 😁, they are a good medicine for sleep like many others said here 😊. With your soft voice and meticulous game analysis , it slowly puts me to sleep and then I miss the critical part of the game and have to rewind the video multiple times lol 😂. But jokes apart, the chess aspect of it and the thought process when you play these rapid games are excellent, it helps greatly in my own games too !
Legend has it that some chess players increased massive amounts of elo overnight! How is this possible? Nobody knows. The only thing that was known is that they were all part of some strange network.
I just burned my brain from doing puzzle rush for almost and hour or so--so what's the best way to recharge from playin' chess? If you answered anything else than watching other people playing chess we cannot hang out.
It’s interesting how you doubt your play in the first game but take a look at how the position simplified into a cut and dry controlled one and if you can’t lose from there which I don’t think you could and you have ideas and pressure unlike your opponent then the game is objectively a win Really a beautifully simple powerful position
28:10 You didn’t want to move Bf4 because you said the black knight guarded it. The sacrifice might have been worthwhile, however. If the knight took your bishop, you would follow with Nxh8, and if black responded with Bxh8, your Qf7# would checkmate.
Is it a bit too crazy that my first instinct when considering Qb3 ideas is Nd7 Qxb7 Rb8 and trying to get some initiative going even if objectively it's not that sound? 😅

Finally some more sleeping material
You are the Bob Ross of this game. The Joy of Chess with Jerry is my favorite show on the internet. That's all for now. Take care, bye.

Just ensure you avoid the (Bob) Ross gambit - 1. Nf3 e5 - and we'll all sleep well. :)
Bob Ross didn’t play chess, apples and oranges

I appreciate the $2.00. Super Thanks! ❤️
15:00 isn't "the final shot" after ...Qxf2+, Kd1 just Bg4+? Only legal moves are Nf3 (...Bxf3#) and Ne2 (...Qxe2#), or am I missing something?
Yeah I think he just missed that.

speaking of such, could we get a bullet tournament where every black game is a fishing pole attempt 🥺
Thanks Jerry Always a pleasure All the Best to you and yours

I was awake from 1:30AM to 5AM and this video did indeed serve as a catalyst for me finally falling asleep. Thanks, Jerry!

Люблю Ваши рапиды!
👍
These are so good. thank you for making them and sharing your thought process. cheers from 900 elo
👍😎
Jerry, stockfish thinks 10. g4 (with 11. d5 ideas) in your last game is a slight improvement over Bg5. Great to see your rapid games again!

That polgar game was too fun! It woke we right back up
All my friend love your channel
I like these vids. Can you turn on piece animations rather than blink move please?
32:31 I just about had a heart attack 😂 Of course, black's bishop can't capture the rook because it's tied down to defending the promotion square.
Atlast i can cure my insomnia
I’ve been waiting years for this new episode!
14:58 the followup could have been Bg4, mate. Am I missing something?
I love these videos Jerry but I do miss the 15+2s !
Thx Jerry 😊
