LA FESTA DEL CRISTO DEGLI ABISSI

Video Vittorioinnocente - Every year on the last Saturday of July, in the bay of San Fruttuoso, a suggestive ceremony takes place in memory of those who died at sea and of those who make their life from the sea. The ceremony begins at 21.30 in the presence of thousands of people and divers: at the sound of the bells all the lights of the Bay are turned off and the double procession begins in the light of the torches. One walk, the other swim from the beach to reach the statue. Having reached the point of the sea, several divers dive to place a laurel wreath at the base of the statue. After returning to the beach, Holy Mass is celebrated on the shoreline and the prayer to Christ of the Abyss is read.
Video Vittorioinnocente - Ogni anno l'ultimo sabato di luglio, nella baia di San Fruttuoso, si svolge una cerimonia suggestiva in ricordo dei morti in mare e di quanti fanno del mare la loro vita. La cerimonia inizia alle 21.30 alla presenza di migliaia di persone e di subacquei: al suono delle campane si spengono tutte le luci della Baia e inizia la doppia processione alla luce delle torce. Una a piedi, l'altra a nuoto dalla spiaggia per raggiungere la statua. Giunti sul punto di mare, diversi subacquei si immergono per deporre una corona di alloro alla base della statua. Dopo aver fatto ritorno alla spiaggia viene celebrata la Santa Messa sulla battigia e viene letta la preghiera al Cristo degli Abissi.
