Featuring none other than Deen Castronovo (The Dead Daisies, ex-Journey, Bad English), Doug Aldrich (The Dead Daisies, Burning Rain, ex-Whitesnake, DIO), and Jack Blades (Night Ranger), Revolution Saints have now completed their incredible third album, “Rise”. As with the first two well-received albums, Rev Saints (as the fans like to call them) are bringing back the classic melodic rock style that thrilled and delighted legions of fans in the ‘80s and ‘90s and still does today! Inspiring, uplifting vocals, soaring melodies, and musicianship to die for is what you get in spades here. Simply put, it is completely badass.
Superbly handling drums and lead vocals is the one and only Deen Castronovo. Already renowned for his drum talents and backing vocals in Journey, Bad English, and more, Deen's excellent vocal talents are once again receiving a well-deserved spotlight on this release. On bass, and co-lead vocals on a few tracks, Jack Blades is well known for his melodic, yet hard rocking approach to songwriting and playing via multiple classic albums by his main band Night Ranger, as well as with the Damn Yankees and the Shaw/Blades releases. On guitar, Doug Aldrich lends his fiery guitar attack to round out this dream-come-true melodic rock band. Doug, who left Whitesnake after a fruitful 12 year run (including co-writing 2010’s critically acclaimed "Forevermore" release) and also of Burning Rain and formerly of DIO, has a deep pedigree and is one of today’s most respected rock guitarists.
You can tell by the name - and the names involved - that REVOLUTION SAINTS is not going to be your average rock 'n roll band. The project is the vision of Frontiers' President Serafino Perugino, who for years had hoped to work on a project where Deen would be the lead vocalist. Having previously worked with all three artists on different projects on Frontiers, having Deen, Jack and Doug on board together was a dream come true for Perugino.
With production overseen by more and more in demand in-house Frontiers man, Alessandro Del Vecchio, the recording process took place in Milan and in Doug and Jack’s own studios in California and Seattle. Songwriting was handled by Del Vecchio, Aldrich, and Blades with contributions from fellow Frontiers recording artist Dan Rossall (of UK newcomers PASSION). Of special note, the poignant ballad “Eyes Of A Child” was penned by Jack Blades and Tommy Shaw.
REVOLUTION SAINTS' music is played with a heart, soul, and spirit that shines through in the music. These songs highlight the passion and enthusiasm of three of the best all-around rock ‘n roll musicians in the game today.
Truly, lovers of melodic rock have a new favorite album on their hands.

The tragedy of Revolution Saints is that they are a radio ready band and at least here in the United States there is no support system for them. This is some of the best material they've created and yet only the diehards will search for it. I long for the days when rock stations would put this song into heavy rotation.
Radio only plays Angry Rock and rock bands pretending to be Blues.
Frontiers Music should start their own internet radio station. Their stable of performers is substantial and they could showcase them globally 24 hours a day.

@@Neilbear5820 here in my area if its not young talentless "musicians" playing progressive music they wont play them. they wont even play anything that is close to sounding bluesy at all.
i have spoken to (via email) a person at the station they want progressive "music" sounds only. most new music they play mainstream is utter garbage.

Bass that sings, drummer that sings, guitarist that looks like Randy Rhodes and shadows his play style. 3 guys that have a sound of 5 or 6. 80s are back with these guys. Remember Triumph and of course Rush??? 3 piece set up aint nothing to shake a stick at if done correctly.. Lot of respect for ya Deen. Awesome sound.

I too was once an addict. I started drinking as a teenager but my parents took a picture of me when I was about 4 drinking a beer. They thought it was cute. I also started doing weed and acid. I was drinking to the point that I would sometimes drink a beer during my lunch break at work. I stopped doing acid and weed when I joined the military for 8 yrs. But when I got out, I started back up again at a hospital that I was working at. I bought and did it there along with other co-workers. I did all this in the 80's and continued in the 90's after my service. But in 2002 while I was attending a Christian church for several months, the pastor preached about God living in our hearts and that would be his home. But God will not live in a home where there is constant, willingness, disobedience to Him. We need to clean our hearts -His home- in order for God to live there. That sermon is God spoke to me and that day I got home and threw out the beer I had in the refrigerator and never had any desire for beer or drugs since that day. For a couple of years, after leaving the acid, I would see everything go at a slant no matter what I was doing. But that too went away. And I have been clean and saved spiritually for over 20 years. Thank God.
What can I say Deen Castronovo and Doug Aldrich, one of the best guitar slingers there is.

Any vocal training enthusiasts here? Deen has the most pure un modified EE vowels I have heard in that range.... any ideas about how he does that? He’s doing the same live, I don’t get it.
When you are in the studio recording; That's called "Enunciation"! He has always been "A Natural"!! But "Social Anxiety Disorder", happens & he is overcoming it★
