We took a weeklong vacation for Thanksgiving and Hanna's birthday to Vidanta Riviera Maya, between Playa del Carmen and Cancun. It was a magical experience with so much ease and luxury. We love Vidanta Mayan Palace. I took my kids twice (2018 and 2023) and they can’t get enough of it!
When you get tired of being "stuck on the resort" and paying US $ prices at their restaurants; just walk down the beach to the marina. Eddie's has the best breakfast and their are 2-3 excellent restaurants with Mexican prices 👍😎
That is a great idea @ABAdams. I think you're talking about Vidanta in Nuevo Vallarta, but we will absolutely use this tip next time we visit!

Vidanta is awesome! We go almost every year, the views, pools, walking the path and food are amazing.

Been to costa rica, dominican rep and other this place was the best I will be going back so much I seen and so much I missed lol
Is this an all inclusive resort?
Hey T! It is not an all-inclusive. There are tons of restaurants to choose from, but you'll be paying extra for it. You can go to a 2 hour talk, and then you'll get a free buffet breakfast and a bunch of restaurant deals all over the resort. It is always worth it for us!

Most of the pools close at 7pm, but that is the Alberca Principal and it is 24 hours. Get it!

We are going in a week! Did you end up going to Jungula? We are traveling with our 5 and 7 year old and plan to go to the water park one day, so just wondering how you liked it!
That's awesome! Excited for you and the fam :) We did not go to Jungala, but we did see some happy faces from people returning
Did you use public transportation?
We did not on this trip to Vidanta. We stayed in the resort all week. There are plenty of restaurants and we swung by a grocery store before we even arrived, so we were stocked up.
@Silvia Hoard It is not all inclusive. You have to pay at the restaurants and stores on site. Pool and beach lounging is free tho and there a bunch of free activities throughout the day
Travel outside basically on yout on but they will assist with daybtrips and taxi's.

Oh you will for sure! The Mayan Palace is great too. It's just in a different area of the resort and is the pre-Grand Mayan version of Vidanta. You'll still have the same access to things and fun!
