@MrToshTogo Hi. The project was kept at the university when I finished it and it was continued the following year by another student. There is no flame-out at the end of the video. I think what you are seeing is smoke from burning paint which was on the tube. There was no weld along the tube as I used seamless steel tubing. The tubing came with protective paint on which was a bit of a nuisance since it burned off with the heat.

use a different fuel like kerosine and gasoline.Methanol is the best for a long reed valve life.your valves died from the heat mostly.
