  • An in-depth look at Jiu Jitsu basics by Carlos Machado (8th Degree Coral Belt).
Master Carlos Machado demonstrates the 1-2-3 rule, a method of combining three maneuvers to mislead and quickly defeat your opponent. This concept will help you plan your attack and give you in complete control. First off, Master Machado demonstrates this by chaining a Sweep+Triangle+Choke together. Then, does the same with a practitioner favorite, Triangle+Armbar+Shoulder Lock.

Machados are incredible teachers and competitors. If they got as much advertisement as Gracies they might be equally popular.

Lower the frame. Holy cow this is an eye opener. So many times I shoot for triangle and can't secure the position right away, I almost always give up. Never thought about lowering my frame to trap my opponent.
