Bro you do some of my favorite vids l am new to the mpcx x but l been. Mpc man for years. Had mpc 60 mpc the 1000 and 2000 xl now mpc x thanks for your help homie keep up the work
like i said in another video your videos have COMPLETELY changed the way i make beats. I only have the MPK Mini . but you have showed me so much in the MPC DAW. That delay on that sample is pure genius. gives it a whole new sound. Appreciate your time
Great tutorial yes we heard the delay but I believe you asked for an explanation to what the delay actually did. The short of is. The delay effect an audio signal by duplicating it without creating a new audio file. You can control how much of the signal is effected by adjusting the attach and decay of the plugin. The wet and dry tells the plugin how much of the the original signal and the effected signal will be heard at the same time.
See! We hear you bro.. you've helps so much! Man I could be having a crappy day, I just come to dungeon and attempt to memorize the tutorial so I be at work,at work lol. Your applicatated. Thank you.
Wow bro thanks so much I'm so excited!!! I've always wanted an mpc since I was 15in 1997...I've made many albums but I always wanted to do an album with only my production..and now I got my mpc and you showing me some things I been stuck on, I'm so excited to make this new album. I started with 100beats.. picking the best 50 and writing to them then out of the 50 wrote songs picking the best 25 and recording them then picking the best 12 and put them in a hat ..and repeating the whole process making another 100 bests and the final 12songs go in the hat and random draw 12 out of the 24 to make my Album. All with the purpose of the best of the best and practice makes perfect..I'm loving learning my mpc one
DeLa would most definitely tear it up. I absolutely noticed how adding a little reverb actually makes the sample flow much smoother & gets rid of the choppyness. Love the work flow. You're right, the more you keep working with the MPC the more familiar and easier it will get. One Love Drank respect as always, DJ Que
Dope tutorial. Now I understand the science behind the Delay. That delay fills in that empty space after that portion of the chopped sample that was just played to keep it from sounding stiff but makes a smooth transition into the next chopped sample sound in the beat. I also heard the click sounds and knew to increase the attack on those sample parts but didn't know the science behind it until I watched this video. Great tips. Keep them coming...
I’m on a tight budget it will take me two or three months to save up to buy MPC LIVE TWO Ur teaching has mad me a believer in what I can do with the right tools I can Wait
Hey boss you should do a video on how you made your purpleworldbeats website and how to go about setting one up for selling beats. That would be a great video we would love to learn.
You should book a help session. That is the very reason I offer help one on one. To address the specific things that are of interest to you. I have already helped many to start selling and promoting their business as a music producer. I will absolutely show you how we did it. But that wont be a video here. Very sorry. That is the type of knowledge that you must make a move first before you can learn. Link is always in the vid description. 👍🏾
Do you recommend doing the sample first or the drums first for a beginner? I was trying to figure out how to make it less choppy for ever! That delay is the key. Thx so much!
It’s an echo on the note you just played just slightly quieter. Bridges the gaps between the beginning and end of the chops. Is adding this through “warp sample” the same or different?
This is a great workflow. Adding delay definitely helps fill in those gaps. Also, funny how you say this isn’t a vid on how to make a dope or killer beat and then you make one lmao
Yeah King I like that mine yeah I do hear the difference real talk but you need to show me how your boy had to work this all MPC Studio black that's what I got holler back piece
@Da Drank Kang can you help me out I want to learn how to make beats good and chop samples good only problem is I don’t have a computer at the moment and I’m working in standalone mode and using the factory sound that comes with the Mpc
Da Drank Kang yea I plan on doing that when I get a laptop or something you unless it a way I can get soundkit without using a computer to store in my Mpc I want to get a kit from you too
Yes it sounds great 👍👍👍
Nice tips. Thanks man.
There are some absolute gems in this video. Thanks!!!
It fills the space

Much thanks. Delays will always fill in spots with sound when layered slightly in the background. 👍🏾
Just finished checking out your video thank you so much ju heard for the information

Dope with the delay. Can definitely hear the difference. I will be implementing that when doing abrupt chops

It has a faint trail of the sample following it that is filling the gap. Thanks for the tip.

💥Nice Flow
🙏🏾
Good looking out on that delay technique! Does that same thing work in standalone?
It works in anything you can put delay on
Delay smooths out the melody's rhythm. Instead of start n stop you get start n sustain between notes. Reverb does that to a lesser degree.
Do you recommend doing the sample first or the drums first for a beginner?
I was trying to figure out how to make it less choppy for ever! That delay is the key. Thx so much!
Nice video, you time stretch the sample to the project bpm. Why not use the live bpm sync and stretch in program?
Because I dont want to introduce artifacts in the sample. The more you stretch the more the sample is warped.
Are you using that sticker over the transport buttons as a protector?
Yes. It's a trick I learned. Take some clear tape and put it over your buttons. It keeps the paint from rubbing off.
Yes the delay did his work!
You got it 👍🏾
@@DaDrankKang it glued it all nice together
That sample sounds like LEROY HUTSON.
Without the delay the sample has a pause with it seems endless a more rhythmatic
Absolutely correct. The delay provides a rythm that syncs with the tempo 👍🏾
It’s an echo on the note you just played just slightly quieter. Bridges the gaps between the beginning and end of the chops. Is adding this through “warp sample” the same or different?
Warp will introduce more artifacts in the sample as it stretching the sample using an algorithm.
Do you always have the drums on the same track? I usually have a new track for each instrument, so then I could edit in pro tools for recording
All drums are on one track then I use the explode feature to do the same thing you do at the end. I have older videos that show my workflow.
@@DaDrankKang Forsure, thanks for the video helps a lot!
This is a great workflow. Adding delay definitely helps fill in those gaps. Also, funny how you say this isn’t a vid on how to make a dope or killer beat and then you make one lmao
You heard it 👍🏾 I'm hard on myself when it comes to my sound 😂
Peace Dizzy. The sample has a tail... I hope that’s what you’re looking for??
But another Master Class!
Thanks!
Exactly the concept. 💯 👍🏾
Yeah King I like that mine yeah I do hear the difference real talk but you need to show me how your boy had to work this all MPC Studio black that's what I got holler back piece
The concept of my channel is to teach you how to move in ANY MPC... Not just mine. Follow the same exact thing a you will get to the same goal.
Good looking I'm getting used to know how to work the MPC but using the piano I can see the tracks but I can't hear them how do I fix that?
Check your audio settings first. Then make sure no tracks are muted.
Sounds like it's slurring together. Smoothing it in
I hear the delay fill bro
@Da Drank Kang can you help me out I want to learn how to make beats good and chop samples good only problem is I don’t have a computer at the moment and I’m working in standalone mode and using the factory sound that comes with the Mpc
Somethings you see in my videos apply. If you want to make good beats I suggest you invest in your craft and go buy good sounds. 👍🏾
Da Drank Kang yea I plan on doing that when I get a laptop or something you unless it a way I can get soundkit without using a computer to store in my Mpc I want to get a kit from you too
Hello, I need help with my MPCX. Can you help ?
Producer help sessions for making music is always available in the video description. Just follow the link. 👍🏾
What daw are you using?
Reaper
@@DaDrankKang ok thanks👍👍👍👍
lol mpc bro
I can hear it..it fills in the gaps.or the pause..
Good looking with the Leroy Hutson sample
I think I've sampled 6 of his songs so far. 💯
I hear it bruh the delay drags the sound together filling in the space
Exactly the concept 💯
I hear Rakim picking up another female from around the globe somewhere.
Nice! Rakim was always one of my favorite MCs from way back. 👍🏾
