I really appreciate you demonstrating a lighter painting and using blues. I live in a southern coastal region and the decor is often light colors. I am trying to do abstract seascapes in cold wax. There are few examples on UA-cam of lighter painting in cold wax. The warm colors you often use create abstract landscapes of our marsh areas. Thanks for so generously sharing.
Oh, love this one! I don't usually (ever!) go this light, but I love the colour-mixing effects that you achieve! Still getting up the nerve to use stencils, but at least I now have some at the studio! lol Thanks, Lisa, for another super video!
Micki, so glad you enjoyed this video!! Thanks so much for your feedback! Try the stencil sometime, they can add a nice touch in certain pieces!!! Thanks again!!!
Amazing, starting out with bold color and ending with soft ...I watched twice to just to recall the colors used. I don’t always have results like this 😉 Love the process though. Thanks for sharing.
Tanya, This is a fun color palette to try! The blues -with white -can turn out some very soft, subtle passages! Thanks so much for watching -twice!!!!😁🎨
THANK YOU LISA... I love this piece..the colors are beautiful! Want to try this...I’m new to oil abstract.. I’ve done 1....a color was not listed....is it Indian Yellow and Indian Orange or is it Indian Yellow Orange transparent? Your work is beautiful...thank you for sharing! Charlotte Grossarth
Candice Christie Candice, Jerry’s is the only distributor for Charvin. That is where I purchased it. I wonder if it may be a color they aren’t making anymore??
@@LisaBBoardwine There is a Caribbean Blue and a Caribbean Blue Light. I wonder if the name was changed. Thanks so much for communicating with me on this.
Good one! I liked your stencil and think I can make a similar one......so this would have to be framed behind glass or could it be glued to a cradled panel without glass? Thx....
Carolyn, thank you for watching!! You can mat the paper work and frame it under glass -when it is completely dry, or you can mount the paper to a cradled panel, add a hanger and it is ready to go!!
I love all these effects, marks and colors. But I don't understand why you make lines with graphite, carbone pencils and color pencils because we can't see them later...🤔
Bonjour Lisa, Really lovely painting! Can you tell me what you most prefer to work with : CWM or Acrylic paint. What is the easiest to work with medium? Merci Lisa
Nell, thanks so much for watching my UA-cam channel! I enjoy both CWM and Acrylic/Mixed Media. Both have good qualities to offer. The CWM does allow more time to paint into wet and semi wet areas- To dig into the surface and excavate the history of layers below! I enjoy both mediums!
Love to see all the different tools you use!
Thanks Robbyn!! I enjoy trying different ways to apply paint!!😁
I like the blues music!! Well, plus your painting!!
Jan, thanks so much!! The blues music is a favorite of mine too! And very happy you enjoyed the painting as well!!
Looove what you do!
Thank you for watching!!
Wow - how fantastically inspiring and stunning work.
Harmony O, thank you very much!
like watching and learning....the music is Oustanding!
Kathleen, many thanks for tuning in!! Glad you enjoyed the music too!!

Who makes Caraibes Blue? It is a beautiful color.
Candice, it is a lovely blue, made by Charvin.
@@LisaBBoardwine I looked it up at Jerry's Artarama and Caraibes Blue isn't listed under Charvin. Weird.

Very possible! They do change the names from time to time. You are most welcome !!

Very inspiring! Just out of curiosity, who’s playing that guitar in the soundtrack? Reminds me of Jimi Hendrix.
Thank you!! We use music from Epidemic Sound, so many amazing musicians! There were several different songs on this video.
