Hi there, as a family one of our favourite countries to visit is Greece. We love the scenery, the food, the people & overall chilled aspects of the islands. My husband holidayed on Corfu in his early 20's however, the rest of us have never been. Therefore, when a great deal came up to go to Corfu in July 2019 we had to go!! We based ourselves in Messonghi (around 30 min drive from the airport and Corfu town) which is on the lower east coast with perfect calm and shallow waters for swimming and some really lovely bars and restaurants. We stayed in the Apollo Palace which we can highly recommend.
In this video, we arrive in Messonghi at sunset which gives us just enough chance to have a wonder around before it gets dark - absolutely stunning!! Then you get to follow us on Captain Homer's Corfu Town boat trip, visiting 'mouse island' to see the planes landing low above our heads and you see us swimming in the sea. So so much ❤️ for this video. I did my uni placement in Corfu and fell in love with it. Corfu town is stunning as you say, and I could sit for hours on that bridge watching the planes. Great video, thanks a lot x

We had our honeymoon there, cried on the way to the airport when it was over, been back a number of times and can’t wait to go back
This brings back such amazing memories!! First holiday abroad with my bestie was to Corfu. Stayed in Perama. Pedalo over to Mouse Island and a visit to the small chapel.

It was, we chose a base that seemed quieter than other areas but with enough going on around us for our kids to enjoy too. Buses were great xx

Kids travel free on the bus. No holiday for us this year, but desperate to get to Greece next year x
We’ve swapped our Italy holiday from this year to a holiday is Santorini for the same price and longer next year plus, we took advantage of very cheap flights and accommodation and booked to go to Rhodes October next year!!! We are never this impulsive haha it’s only in the last 3-4yrs we’ve started going on holiday, my mum suffered a massive stroke and it completely changed my outlook on life. We absolutely adore Greece xx

No not at all well not where we stayed in Messonghi. Corfu town is busy but that’s to be expected. Maybe other resorts like Sidari or similar might feel too crowded but it was very quiet where we were which we loved. We took buses too and never had to stand up once. We did go beginning of July so maybe towards the middle of the month crowds May pick up
