I once saw a video of Oblivion when the player was picking up an apple in a tavern. The guard attacked him but everyone in the tavern ganged up on the guard, killing him. then everyone in the tavern were chased by guards and everyone got out trying to flee and then started dying left and right causing a chain reaction of utter chaos and destruction. Best part is that the player just observed it all 🤣
There is a weird bug in Shadow of the Tombraider on Series X too where in one part your friend is standing beside you but he also walked ahead and is standing inside an entranceway so there are two of them lol. That freaked me out
For whatever reason, the realism of video game physics peaked on the X360/PS3 generation. A prime example of this is GTA IV vs GTA V, and Mafia 2 vs Mafia 3.
In the older games it can sometimes just be caused by trying to run the game above 60 fps and the physics engine was never designed for above that frame-rate. For the newer games nope I have nothing lol. That has to be an old version of Cyberpunk though as bugs are still there but usually just a guy floating in the air or something lol
@@TehButterflyEffect I'd be interested to see a game with PS3/XBOX360 level graphics but with current gen physics. Imagine how much headroom that would leave for processing destruction.
It's because Nvidia owns the rights to PhysX and none of the console manufactures use Nvidia hardware anymore. Thus the janky physics. Games made for PhysX tend to have great physics, but they are all PC games.
I use the PhysX in my work. This video contains games that use the PhysX and the Havok physics libraries. Both are good products, both are a middleware. A good middleware library not guarantee a good result, there is always a huge factor of developers, does they setup physics right and check all corner cases. The PhysX is still used in games on all platforms. Moreover, it is open-source library, which means it free to use in your commercial product. Also, the PhysX is a default physics engine for Unreal Engine 4, which is the base for part of games showed in video. The presents of a hardware acceleration or its manufacturer is not affects an accuracy of physics calculations, it is the same IEEE-754 math. It only matter of speed.
Something’s telling me y’all make these y’all self and then post the to make the game look bad cause I don’t have these problems unless y’all are on pc because I play on console 🤔😕🥱🫤🤨🧐🙄
I've had some of these glitches on console from some of these games. Cyberpunk, Days Gone, AC 1, Uncharted 4, Uncharted Lost Legacy. Haven't played any of these others though.
3:27 ahh Oblivion, the gem that keeps on giving the best fails
I'd play that over contemporary "AAA" crap

"No harm, no foul." Had me laughing - it's kind of meta.
1:08 - I thought those were lego men for a second there.
Physics goofs are the best ones
Scariest
I'm surprised there weren't even _more_ Cyberpunk 2077 clips.
Is Star Wars Outlaws trying to dethrone Neo Pets as the most glitchiest game of all time.
6:01 Spawning is exactly what happens when you're inside of someone XD

That destiny 2 clip is really accurate with the physics lol

Why release fully completed games when you can rely on patches!

be easier to show a compilation of Outlaws not failing.

"Physics Are Getting Worse!" It was bound to happen with too much focus being put on realistic graphics and lighting.
And console games in general. Games developed specifically for PC tend to not have all these other issues.
