There are other items with the same title THE RED ARMY - 1940 which most likely belong to the same film. Film shows and explains battle tactics of the 1940 and was used for teaching in Russian military schools. It is also a great propaganda item.

Учения учениями, но в 1941 году пленных было под 3 миллиона. Немцы не ожидали подобного. Поэтому и появлялись стихийно лагеря типа Уманская яма.
Наиболее боевые части, пожалуй, были на тот момент в операции вместе с англичанами, в августе 1941 года ,при оккупации Ирана. Для последующего получения ленд-лиза из США.
Особенно отличились политруки и политработники!
Идеология говно без задач, рано или поздно люди перестают верить сказкам, нужна контрактная армия, а призывное рабство надо отменять

Most of those marching were to be wiped out by the evil invading NAZIs and the inexperienced leadership . Stalin himself had wiped out most of the competent leadership because of his paranoia .
The Russian people deserved better then and deserve much better today .

By June to December 1941 the red army is still outmatched by the Nazi Wehrmacht, totally encricled their large force during the campaign.
