Azure Standard is wonderful! We have been ordering grains for making our own chicken feed. And we have purchased Azure Standard grains for grinding our own gluten free flour blend. We have been really impressed with the quality of their products. My husband is a natural medicine practitioner. He does muscle testing. Everything we have purchased has tested good. Lentils, buckwheat, oat goats, chickpeas, rye and sorghum are several grains we have purchased.
And Forager yogurt is a staple in our diet. Love it!
That’s amazing Lisa! Glad you’ve had such a great experience
Azure standard has awesome glass jars too. I ordered 1 gallon and 1/2 gallon glass jars from them. Don’t forget to order lids separate. I like the smaller 1/2 gallon size for dried fruit. We keep our seeds and nuts in fridge and freeze half of walnuts when we get from azure
Awesome! Love those ideas!
Your family is so inspirational!
Thank you!! Such an encouraging comment
Love Azure Standard!
He's so cute! Oatmeal is big with my kids too
He loves it! Calls it “opa”
Thanks so much for this, I've been wanting to try Azure Standard and this inspires me to finally do so! You mentioned that you bought oat groats, and I'm definitely curious about your experience with the groats and Almond Cow -- I haven't been able to find a way to keep it from going slimy either immediately or in the next day or so using both rolled oats and groats... At this point, I mostly just use the Almond Cow to make soy milk for tofu making, but haven't had a lot of success making our own of any other kind without it separating. If you're ever inspired to do so, I'd really love to hear your recommendations or recipes for the Almond Cow.
Hi Jen!! I’ve had a lot of success with walnuts, cashews, and almonds in the almond cow. You need to add an emulsifier if you want to avoid separation. I don’t worry about this too much and just shake it up. You can try sunflower lechitin if you want to avoid the separation! Any homemade plant milk will separate because fats and water naturally separate. Hope this helps!
@@SunshineFarm Thanks -- yeah, that does help. I've tried soy lecithin but it was kind of gritty, may give the sunflower lecithin a shot instead. The separation doesn't bother me so much, but my husband doesn't like when it separates in his coffee. I'll have to give it a shot again!
I would love your recipe for English muffins or if you happen to have a crumpet recipe. I love both of them because they have all those yummy holes for jam but I haven’t been very successful with the recipes I have tried.
Check out the Clever Carrot. Highly recommend her recipes!
I wish I had more space for bulk food storage like this! (:
Totally get that!! There are creative spaces to make small space work, like open shelving and glass jars
Love these azure videos 👌♥️
Glad to hear that!!
Cultures for Health Real Yogurt Vegan Starter Culture from azure is great! I love cashew/coconut milk yogurt blends so I just blend cashew pieces, coconut milk powder, vanilla, salt and water in my vitamix and add pomonas pectin to thicken! Works great and is super yummy!
Yumm!! I will have to give that a try, thank you for the recommendation
Oh my goodness I missed seeing a video from you.
💛💛💛
I get vegan yogurt starter from azure and make soy yogurt in my instant pot. Very easy!
I also get tempeh starter and make tempeh with black eyed peas, which I also get from azure. I just got a 5 lb bag of sesame seeds so I can try making my own tahini. I heard that oat milk is better made with steel cut oats or oat groats, so that's on my to do list as well.
I purchased the tempeh starter but I have not used it yet. I am inspired by your comment. I will have to make some pink eyed pea tempeh. And we use tahini for seed cycling. I should make my own.
I was hoping to make my own tempeh with organic soy but haven’t seen it in stock. I like the idea of using a different type of legume! I have yogurt starter in my cart for next time! ✨
@@SunshineFarm soybeans and soy milk are hard to find these days. I have a reserve of powdered soy milk from Vita cost and soy beans are in my next azure order. I like the tempeh with a different type of bean a lot better, honestly. Or it could be that homemade just tastes better period. (I say as I eat a bowl of homemade cherry almond granola)
How were the cashew pieces. I ordered them once and they had so much oil in them I couldn’t eat them and they went rancid really fast. Your bread looked so good!!!
Really?? I’ve never had that experience! Make sure to get raw cashews. I linked the ones I’ve purchased in the description of the video. Sorry you had that experience!
Maybe I’ll try and order again
@@missys6719 I store mine in the freezer, they seem to stay fresher longer
@@daram.5532 there was definitely something wrong with these. I should have called for a refund. Next time I’ll freeze them.
I haven't ordered the raw cashews from Azure. But we use lots of raw cashews from Trader Joe's. And we store them in the freezer. But can go rancid quickly.
What jar was used for the 1 pound of nutritional yeast? 32oz? 64oz?
I would go with a quart, 32oz
Can you share your but milk recipes?
Sure! Check out the recent short video for one of my favorites 💛
Who think that song?
