To everyone saying this is too hard: don't give up! If you stick to it and try and learn a bit every day and reflect on what you've learnt, you will get there. It took 5 years of living in Denmark for me to become fluent. It doesn't happen overnight so do not be discouraged. You will make LOTS of mistakes, and that's okay because it's all part of learning a language. I hope this helps keep you motivated :)
I am learning Danish in Duolingo for almost 3 weeks now, my mothertongue is Dutch so it doesn't seem that difficult, and I'm going very well with the course, almost half-way and I feel like I'm learning, from these dialogues I still don't understand the whole story, but some words, that's already better than 3 weeks ago haha

We can see here some comments from native speakers say that these dialogs are too unnatural and not good for learning this language. But it is always better to rely on professional opinion, on people who know how to teach others to speak new languages. I showed them to experienced danish teachers that are also native speakers, and they told me that this material is pretty good for learning Danish.

(Hvis "den", skal der ikke T i slutningen af "fin", hvis "Det" skal der T i slutningen at "fint", "Tak for hjælpen mennesker" Danish is a terrible language, not intuitive at all, no logic. Most of the rules you just have to know, theres no logical reason behind them or a way to figure out the correct way. Keep it up! The best way to learn it is to speak it :)

Without any practise, and if I really, really concentrate, I understand around 70% of what they are saying. (I am from Norway). In the written form, it is almost identical to norwegian. Much easier to read than to listen :)
I speak danish and just gotta say if you tell us you are trying to learn danish we will ask you if you can say "rød grød med fløde" since many have a hard time pronouncing the word ø.

The Danish language is so interesting, it's a mix between German, Dutch, English and other Scandinavian languages, all those mixes makes it easy for a germanic speaker like me (Dutch) to learn it.

Hey. I'm Danish and my ex wife is Polish. I can only agree with both of you. The speed is important meaning, if I talk to someone who is slow, I will slowly reject the conversation. Some people even talk so fast, that even I can't understand them. 😂 I know it is difficult. My ex wife told me very often, but now she is very very good at Danish.

Yes, something along the lines of these conversations might happen, but it's usually more casual. The speakers who are in these recordings also sound a bit too much like they're just reading from a script. Otherwise, I can tell this would be really helpful to some people learning the language :)

Haha, the best advice i got when learning to speak Danish was: if you're not sure how to pronounce it, just say it quickly.

The pronounce is so easy, it's just that always mixing it to my native language, Swedish...
Pronunciation is actually one of the hardest things to overcome when it comes to Danish..
Is there the soft D sound as in "hedder" in Swedish?
