Nah this is spot on. Exactly the type of therapy ive been through it works fantastically in a controlled setting when you have ptsd. It really really helps along with emdr.

Your mythology about Charon is correct, John. You didn't pay it much mind, but at that point you enter the hole, the graffiti that reads "All Hope Abandon, Ye Who Enter Here". It's the words at the gate of hell in Dante's Inferno; which lines up perfectly with Charon! (Timestamp for the viewers 12:32 )

@@cherrydragon3120 The movie As Above, So Below is decent for this though they do not have the Charon. It is basically Dante's Inferno but in Paris. I recommend it. May not be for everyone but I think it's a decent watch.

Horror games benefit from restrictive design, which is to say they are incidentally better suited to smaller budgets and greater limitations. Fear and tension are often invoked by withholding what is threatening and leaving a lot up to the player's imagination.

About the shoes thing ; if I remember right, in Japanese culture, it is common for people committing suicide to take off their shoes before they do, if its like jumping from a building or, in this case, on a subway track I guess? Maybe I'm wrong but I think thats why it was there. It does goes along with the letter you read just before.

This game reminds me a lot of Grey; that was a game I felt had SO MUCH potential in terms of atmosphere and enemy design. It was genuinely fucked up and disturbing, but it just couldn't seem to sustain the horror. This game looks like it may actually deliver.

I feel that horror games taking place primarily in sewers are so underrated. A bunch of sewer tunnels are like one of the best kind of hunting grounds for monsters in my opinions.

No, the last thing we need is unproductive assholes who complain and put down people who have actually accomplished something.
I think this In Vivo Exposure Therapy is actually a simulation/VR program to test the subject to see how willing he/she is to rescue their dog despite all odds. It would make them confront their fears in the form of ghosts and would explain all the weird, supernatural or implausible shit going on.
railmacher its not necessarily VR or simulation but it is exposing a patient with anxiety or a phobia to a situation where they confront it. In vivo just means in person. Theres two kinds; flooding and progression-say that a person is afraid of crowds, flooding tactic would be to place them into a crowded room, while progression is slowly introducing them to a number of people that increases.
The dog is modeled after MrKravin's dog.

Glad to see that this game was released successfully! I know I'm a late viewer for this video, but wanted to comment that it seems to have kept its good elements in the demo and expanded on them. It's too bad that there aren't any other videos from you on this game, as I think I'm too much of a wuss to pick it up myself. Perhaps I'll grow a spine one day, or maybe I'll look at another LP for the rest of the story. Regardless, I'm happy you visited and liked this one!
