Yes, this tour was so intense. But Rob Ritter departure removed some melodious bass parts...listen to the same track on the live bonus of new edition of Miami CD and you will realize how great Rob Ritter was. Patricia Morrison is a great bassist too but she was just arriving in the band and replacing Rob Ritter wasn't so easy.
Yeah, but Ward Dotson never gets much credit either, he could cover the guitar parts alone and had a punchy and sparkling sound. He was the tall cool dude on the two recordings that count.
One of their best tracks, and Jeffrey Lee Pierce wrote so many great songs. So that is saying something. Great Band!
Absolutely fantastic. They were at the height of their powers on this tour, imho.
Miami is such a perfect album.
For me, Miami, Fire Of Love, Mother Juno and Lucky Jim are the best works of The Gun Club :)
dont forget pastoral hide and seek truly an underrated album some of Jeffery best guitar playing on that album @joeledwardgunscristinoponc983
such a good band

Is there no live footage of the Gun Club with Rob Ritter? Such a great guy and fantastic bassist.

@@100milnic Ward Dotson ❤️
great lyrics! still love Mark Lanegans version, but the original is super kool!
I’m a big Fan of Mark Lanegan and Screaming Trees but in my opinion the original song is better than the cover that Lanegan made
great live version of one of his best songs.....but makes you realize the pedal steel add's a lot to this one
