I was born and raised 20 minutes from Boston, MA. At the age of 17, I was diagnosed with Anxiety. My personal experience with the prescribed medication was NOT POSITIVE. So I decided to find better way. I didn't know it at the time but, that was the BEGINNING for me! I have been “FINDING A BETTER WAY” in all areas in my life ever since. Better ways of how to create a modern homestead affordably, and a better way to provide my family with healthy foods, and so….. much MORE!
At Lumnah Acres we hope our experiences can help guide you to find YOUR BETTER WAY! Please join us in sharing our journey with you, let us be a guide to Modern Homesteading, Self-Sufficiency, and FREEDOM for you!
New Videos 5 Days A Week!!!
Hey there, just wanted to let you know that what you’re doing on your homestead, and sharing with us is fantastic. I just read your “ABOUT” story, and I m even more appreciative for what you’re doing -I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2006, and have been having a tough time here lately. But when I view your channel, I am inspired to keep trying to find healing with our homestead projects. Just wanted to say thank you to you and your family -you guys really are doing some beautiful things there, and you’re so neat. Really admire you man!
There is nothing cuter than baby goats playing. Have a Wonderful & Blessed Day!
How sweet to see the little one jumping around all playful and meeting the herd. So precious.
The baby jumping around sure does put a smile on my face. :-) Good stuff.
Just a suggestion - consider keeping a few large bags of your apple tree chips for meat smoking in the fall. Love your show!!
Baby goats are so stinkin cute. Nice to start day with smiles they bring.
Love the way baby goats jump around, she definitely has same markings as mum xc
That baby goat is a great joy - thanks for sharing... what a pleasure!
Farm life is the best. Seeing the baby goat and all the animals every day is a blessing. I hope you do not get the storms in NH as we have had in Texas. It has washed out many of our early gardens. I think, with the food storage, and everything going on today, that a good garden this year is a must for all the families who can grow a garden.
Good morning Lumnah family.I'm a senior citizen who loves your channel.Whether it is human babies or animal babies they just warm your heart to watch them.So sweet.
Watching that baby do it's happy dance make me smile. It is so glad to be alive. It is really a little pudge. Getting all the milk!
The baby goat makes my day. The poor chipper looks like it needed a little more maintainace on it before you got it. God Bless and have a great day.
You take such good care of your animals.
Good morning. Your getting quite the farm going. The chipper looks like it may not have been totally ready for usage when you rented it. I agree there's nothing like watching a baby goat dance to bring your spirit up.
Love her meeting her aunts and doing a show. Settling in for a cuddle.
My family started to watch your channel almost 4 years ago and I wanted you to know that your family along with many others helps my family realize anything is possible with hard work. As of today we put a down payment on 6.6 acres of land. Thank you so much for helping us follow our dream.
That baby is adorable. Enjoy all your activities on the farm!🐓🐐🐥🐖👌
Everything is sprouting up on the homestead. Goats, trees, grass, chickens, turkey's, pigs, Pluto, Tanner, Figaro and last but not least Miss Olivia. Gina breakfast for dinner is always good. Much love from OHIO ❤️❣️❣️❤️
I fully understand your adult goats! After winter ,when they were spending months mostly inside their room- they feel almost like ready to fly!!! When my quarantine will be over - I will be running down the street jumping like a goat! :-)
Thank you very much for your "window-to-outdoors".
That little baby goat reminds me of a little kitten - jumping, climbing and running around :-)
As another commenter said, Bag up those apple chips when it comes time to smoking soak them in water and use them in the wood stove. Make some great apple smoked bacon. Love your channel!! What I wouldn't do to get out of the city and just live on the small farm. Love the pigs, goats and of course those little baby goats hopping all over the place.
Jane Peiffer Thanks so much for the baby goat footage. It is amazing that she jumps around so sure of her footing. When human babies take so much longer before they move any distance at all. Stay safe.
Willows baby bounces around like Tigger, so funny 😂 and super cute.
Love watching the baby goat! I think it should be a law that everyone must start their day by watching 30 minutes of baby goats in pajamas playing! We'd all be so much happier! There's that Nicholas Mosse bowl again... I have to get one of those! Blessings to all.
If that baby goat doesn't put a smile on your face, I wouldn't want to know you.
DW B Ditto!.❤️
Your 100% right. Just so dam cute!
So sweet, huh?
What a precious, sweet family! God bless you.
Really sweet how the baby goat just climb into lap and make its self at home
Such a pleasure to watch you all's videos. That baby goat is so cute. Thanks for sharing.
My face was hurting I was smiling that much at the baby goat. In my head I named her April. Sooooo sweet. Willow is such a good Mum. X
Another great video. Love seeing your project for the day, you guys feeding the animals and then ending with another great recipe. Thanks so much for videoing your farm life and sharing it with us all.
I just love how you truly care for your animals, you must look forward to seeing the baby ones each morning. What a great way to start a day.
Watching baby goats jumping around melts my heart 😍. Cutie pie!
I think the little baby looks just like mama willow, she's so cute jumping, I love to watch the video over and over, have a blessed day on the farm
That baby goat is adorable! It just makes you smile and have a happy feeling for the start of the day. Love you guys.
Thanks for sharing your life with us, . It's so delightful watching Willows baby bouncing around she so cute. I'm sorry the chipper quit I know how frustrating it can be when you want to get a job done. God Bless you and your sweet family 💞🙏👼💖.
that baby goat is just so darn cute, tugs at my heartstrings
Those morning antics just make a good start to the day! Thank you!
That kidd jumping around was so cute. 👍
Great video! Beautiful babies they are doing great sorry your chipper broke but thats life! Have a wonderful day GOD BLESS Y'ALL!
came for the chipper, big thumbs up for the baby goat that was classic. thanks for the vid.
I am getting so excited to see what grows in the hot house. Fun to watch you guys build it.
The Back to Eden garden method is amazing. We are in year three and it is amazing soil.
My favorite spot would be under the light too. lol Bummer about the chipper, but I'm sure it is a common thing. Just puts a crick in your plans for the day. I so loved seeing Willow's baby jump around outside like that, soooo stinkin' cute! It's amazing the way they can jump like they do. Love watching all the goats out running and enjoying the warmer weather. Supper looked so yummy Gina!
Thanks for bringing me along.
those shots where all the five goats behind the fence are looking at new baby goat is priceless!!! I just enjoy so much your videos, they relax me, they make me see good in the world, a hope for all somehow. Thank you!
Love seeing the newborns frisky & leaping in the air. So adorable!
That chipper was run hard to be missing that many bolts. Some people whom rent things have attitudes if it's not their's they don't take care of it. Please be careful renting these things Al.
Hello Lumnah family, something great happened today... I went to my local coffee shop this morning, due to social distancing I found myself in a long line but had the opportunity to meet a police officer and his wife who is a nurse their positive attitude reminded me of you, I didn’t know it at the time that the coffee shop was providing free coffee and breakfast for first responders but I insisted to pay it forward. Thank you for being the inspiration that you are. Have a blessed day
Well done Joseph....very thoughtful of you.
Loved the baby goat! Thank you I'm going to show my wife and son. Cassidy is a great name. Bummer with the chipper, definitely bolt fatigue as mentioned before.
The baby goat is so sweet !!! ❤️
It’s like those little ones have pogo sticks for legs! Super cute.
I would clean out the old greenhouse for starting plants for the polytunnel.
That curious, affectionate, exuberant baby goat @ 13 minutes is the cutest thing I've seen in a long time. Have you named her/him yet?
Is baby girl trying to empress her aunty Hope with all her jumping? Lol so cute!!
Oh my. I'm sorry the chipper didn't work out for you. Frustrating when you have a plan that gets put aside like that. I can't even with the baby goat. I sure needed that pure joyful moment of her jumping and reminding us life goes on despite the trials. Have a beautiful day Lumnah Lumnah family. Be well 💜
Too bad about the chipper. Things like that, interfering with our plans can make us grumpy, or we can do what you said and video visit the baby's of Lumnah Acres!!! It really pays to be a flexible sort of person! Love the really cute moment when Gina is encouraging the little one to come sit on her lap! Love y'all! 👪🐩🐕🐈🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔
Al your videos are a must have. I know I'm not alone on this.
Omg that baby goat is so so soooo cute!! She hops around so much you should name her Hoppie! So cute!
Love to watch the baby goat with his jumping around. Those woods chips looked liked they were ground pretty small. I like that.
Putting the rubber mats on the trailer was a great idea. The chicken nests are getting poopy and need fresh chips. I'd keep a garbage can full of chips right there so you can tend to the nests frequently. Every chipper I've seen on UA-cam that people rent breaks down. Hopefully, they will fix it and you can do more chipping. I'd have burned that wood, but chipping it is so much better an idea as you can use those chips everywhere. Good job, guys!
So cute how they jump like that ,brings a smile on
That little baby is gonna teach the big girls some moves! Uh huh you go girl!
Omg I love the baby goat...I come back everyday to watch her. Thanks for the smiles she gives me !!
I used to work on chippers for equipment rental company. Those blade bolts are supposed to be replaced every time you replace the blades for that reason. You should see what happens when the entire blade cuts loose 😳
Al...Good thing that chipper didn't throw a bolt or something. Hope you get it fixed. All the best.
Baby goat is so cute. Sorry about the chipper. It was broke before you got it, thank heaven.
A sure sign of a healthy goat is when they dance!
It's so cute how all baby animals have that natural friskiness but the way goats kick up their heels is especially endearing,
Startin the day with Gina, Al, and Olivia ! Nothin better :)
Watching your videos always brightens my day.
Thank you for sharing. Makes for a good start to the day
Wood chippers are GREAT! Buy a old broken one put it new the entrance to the driveway and paint on it "Free ride for trespassers". The peace and quite is great.
Sweet stuff, thanks for sharing
I enjoy watching your channel !! Thank you for sharing your daily life with your beautiful family :) There is never a dull moment at your homestead. You are so right, watching baby goats is very enjoyable and uplifting. God bless :)
The baby is a mini me of willow. Too cute for words.
So enjoy the new life on Lumnah
Baby goat is a mini of willow. She's so cute jumping and kicking around like that.
I think the cure for anxiety and depression is baby goats 😍 omg their “binkies” are so cute
tams mac maybe for you, but if I gave up my medication and tried to replace it with goats I’d be dead in 2 weeks
Riley Bell oh gosh, don’t take things too literally
Your family are a huge blessing to us. You inspire me to get out and do more. Thank you all.
Looks like a great dinner, set an extra place, I’ll be right there.
Willows baby is so cute she looks just like her. You are building a beautiful life for your family Al. Bless you all!
Willows baby is so cute!💕
Bouncy lil baby goat 🐐 So cute.
The baby is soooooo cute. Love her playfulness. I think you should name her Tricksy.
Baby goat may be laying under the feeder because that is the side by the shop and is a bit warmer to lean on .
May want to move the heat lamp over to the other corner and not near the exterior corners of the stall. Just a thought.
It sounded like a rock was embedded in those old growth apple trunks. The chipper’s turning/sucking action turned that rock into a projectile that eventually sheered off the head of the bolt. The only reason I know that trees have rocks in them sometimes is because of your “new battery chainsaw” video
Love watching the baby goats. Now I can't wait for the other baby to be born.
Wood chippers give me anxiety. Seen one to many horror movies. LOL!!!
Just thought of something for you Al every year our local operator engineers union has a meet and greet to let you have fun running any and ALL equipment! From cat d11 to small farm application stuff.
Baby “Fawn” is so cute happy & loving you ladies 😏♥️👍
That baby goat is the cutest thing ever. Jumping all over the place like a boss. The lady goats were pretty feisty as well.
Looked like a day to run around all over the place. The rental chipper looked like it had more bolts missing then it had intact.
It looked to be very close to being outright dangerous. Hopefully it will have all of its bolts when you get it back on your farm.
Everything is coming along. Love your videos.
That kid has won over my heart, so proud of Willow, she is a great mother...What's her name???? Love the white on her ears...Thanks for sharing
Good job Al! I think that. Chipper was missing a bolt or 3 before you got it.
The bolts in Chipper’s are tightened to specific foot pounds and if they aren’t changed out every 4 times that the blades are changed then the bolts sheering is very common.
It is time to start moving the chickens so they can enjoy the spring grass.
That's a common problem stress fractures in the bolts lucky no one was on discharge side .
I've seen the broken bolts go through a truck door .
So waiting to see you putting up green house hopely get see it soon tc and gb
I love how happy your goats always look
Supper always looks so yummy :D
Why not build high sides on the trailer -wagon and let the chips fall straight into it?
The beautiful little baby is quite a jumper!
It was fun to watch the new baby goat jumping around and playing in front of all her big sisters and Hope. Pretty soon there will be more little ones for her to play with...
It's always something...I used to work in a sawmill with a much larger version of your rental chipper and it was always shaking something loose if you weren't right on top of maintenance. The chipper disk was 6 feet in diameter and 5 inches thick, it took a while for it to spin down.
Got to be on top of your game when working in a sawmill. No slacking.
I'm sure that took a while to come to a stop!
Looking forward to biscuits and gravy for a simple meal on our town stead! Thank you for inspiring me to be more self sufficient! We are looking into gardening with a low tunnel now. Living in town, we don't have alit of room for a full size garden, but with this system we may be able to produce everything we want in a bit of a small space!
