No on Connor. I don't think AP will be high on bringing someone in after a major knee injury. The Commander's have already made a significant investment on the OL and those guys need to be given a chance to prove themselves. AP can't sign every new shiny high profile guy that comes along.

Connor Williams can play right tackle for us. Wylie can go back to guard and go LG for us as back up for first string even. Nick can come in healthy and in a pinch.
S for sure if the money is right - the game is won or lost with line play on both sides of the ball! Even the QB is dependent on the line. A great line can make a mediocre QB look good and a poor line can make a good QB look mediocre. This is most important with a rookie. There is a reason why Joe Gibbs won 3 Super Bowls with 3 different QB’s. They were called the hogs!
You keep saying Washington is rebuilding, no they aren't. If they were they wouldn't have done the 1-2 year contracts to potentially make a run with so many players. We have a very solid Offense right now, with a franchise qb leading it, and a defense that was better then last year. I wouldn't be surprised if we took a run at both of them, he will go where the money still is for him under the circumstances.
If Baktiari doesn't want to sign with the team then look into Donovan Smith and Connor Williams. Give them an incentive laden contract. If not, then see what pans out during training camp.
I like Cosmi but I don’t think he is worth 20 million. If I was worried about his position I would keep building through next years draft. Also depends on what needs we have going into next season. But he is not #1 so no way he is worth 20 mill!
With the list of other guard contracts Jack listed, I'd say yes, he probably is. Unless they can get him in a bargain I'd be inclined to let him play out his contract and then decide what he's worth, and what they can afford. Keep in mind that one more additional high profile signing could wipe out their cap space.

When he has another great season if we wait will have to give him at least 20 million per season. In the life of this contract scenario the Commander's would save 10 million $. No team GM in their right mind is going to sign Bahktiari to a two year contract after the number of games he has missed in his last two or three years. Now if the Commander's could talk him into a one year, performance incentive, contract I'd be hail yeah with bringing him on board.
Doug fun you are spot on! The o line is w/o question better, but you can’t have too many good o linemen. I believe Colman is gonna be good eventually, maybe soon. But injuries etc… seem to affect the o line more than other positions (specially on this team.

They'd need to win probably 8 or 9 games at least to make playoffs. Depending on how the wild card records played out.
