He's just catching on. I moved to Arizona in 2015. The inside of my car got up to 122 degrees. I would bake Nestlé Tollhouse cookies on my dashboard while I was at work. @redwhite_040 It's actually not unbearable. It's manageable! No matter where you are, 100+ degrees is hot. Arizona has such a beautiful landscape for biking, swimming, golfing, hiking & many more outdoor activities year round. Just pick one for the correct temperature 🌡
Had some friends who used to cook brisket that way... three days of prep, 8 hours in the truck while they were at work. Came out perfectly cooked and butter tender every time.
Bet someone ate the truck because it smelled delicious. They aren’t going to do it again. Too expensive to replace eaten trucks and insurance laughed and hung up on them.

This dash cooking has been around for over 60 years that I know of. The Mexicans put their aluminum wrapped burritos on the dash to heat up for lunch at most constructions sites. Other people working other jobs heat up their food for lunch also. Back in the day dash boards were metal and cooked faster.

The heat is so annoying. If it was just during the summer like its normally supposed to be everywhere else its fine, but in arizona its hot or warm 9 months out of the year
The news has done this every year for the past 50 years that I've lived in Phoenix. Nothing new at all. I do remember they did fry an egg on the sidewalk a few decades ago.
Because once summer is over, you have 7 months of perfect weather. We do not have 4 seasons in Arizona, we have nice weather, and then we have summer season.
I spend a lot of time in a U-Pull-it yard. Last year, I found a thermometer in one of the cars. It was the kind they put in the AC vent to see how cold it's getting. I threw it in my tool box, and then remembered I had it a one day when it was around 90°. I put it on the dash of a car and it quickly rose to 145°. It was quite shocking. I never would have guessed it could be over 50% hotter inside the car. I knew it was hotter, but not that much. To be clear, it was only that hot right on the dashboard close to the windshield. The rest of the car was only around 110° to 115°. I don't remember the interior color, but I'm sure that would play a role in how hot it got. This is in NY. I can only imagine what it must be like in AZ.
Imagine working inside motorhomes in this heat with no AC trying to get customers taken care of that's what we do day in day out every day and working on replacing roofs complete in the heat of the day

Have you ever spent a summer in a very humid place? when your drippings sweat at 3am? I grew up in AZ, i spent 2 summers in New Orleans working... i've never complained about humidity in 25 years. At least here Shade and Mist systems work, and evening are comfortable. Yeah it's hot AF, but most people here just go from AC home - AC car -AC work... It's just really bad or outdoor workers and the homeless.

And in other news here in the valley: we've just met a Mesa Arizona man who has been cooking methamphetamines on the dash of his truck! And at a later part of the interview we learn the truck he cooks Methamphetamines in also serves as the man's house! 😮
He calls a steak cooked to 190 a hockey puck but doesn't realize that one cooked to 165 is the almost the same. You don't get "a little pink" when it is that overcooked, his thermometer technique must be off or something.
Yep. Climate change deniers will stick to their guns even when ice caps are puddles and great swathes of the planet are under water or uninhabitable, likely Phoenix in 20 years. 😐.
