Rescue remedy gum helped with my second birth. I had a panic attack with my first and it did make things harder and I struggled a bit.
I also swear by emergen-c to sip during labor(my midwife told me about it)
It helped with nausea, gave me energy and kept me hydrated.

It depends on their state licensure. To give you an example, I'm a student midwife in Oregon. In my state, midwives bring oxygen (one tank for mom, one tank for baby), anti-hemorrhagic meds (in our state this includes Pitocin, Methyrgine, and Cytotec), suturing materials and associated meds (like lidocaine for pain during stitches), and IV fluids (lactated ringer); if necessary and desired by the client, they can also administer antibiotics (usually penicillin, or something else if there's an allergy) for GBS. They also typically carry epinephrine in the event of allergy to a medication (if there's asphyxiation). Midwives also carry herbs, but those are not affected by state licensure. Typically midwives bring something for keeping labor going, something for bleeding or to help the placenta to come quickly, something for after-birth cramps, and homeopathic remedies for various situations (for both mom and baby).

I currently use this bag because you never know what kind of surprise the 24hr Home Visit might have in store.
I used to carry a smaller bag with the essentials and just go back to my car if I needed more gear. But, two bags became cumbersome so I stick to this one

@@haleysimmonds8403 thank you. Last year I was so excited for a home birth but fell sick two weeks after asking this and was diagnosed with Cushing's Syndrome. I was hospitalized at 24 weeks and they tried to keep me pregnant until 34 weeks but ended up having to do an emergency C-section at 33 weeks and he stayed in the NICU for a month.
