    Today I was boosting my training by watching your videos plus playing against two. I know it's crazy but used your tips a lot.

    Great video once again! The serve is something you control a full 100%, so you should use it in your advantage. This video helps doing that!

    When I started to play against players that were better than me, then the positioning in court was very intuitive, otherwise I would always lose the point..
    Great explanation and it’s a “must know” for everybody because it will, certainly, eradicate the doubt about “whose ball is that for return” - avoiding lots of racquets clashes.. 😜🤣

      Haha, a question we are always asked - whose ball is this one...thank you!!

    Hi Sandy, thank you for your helpful videos! I have a question about the strength to be used for the grip of the racket in the various phases of the game (defence & attack). On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 is the maximum strength) what is your advice on the strength to use? Thanks again and have a nice day 😁

      Excellent question and an area not often discussed - I would say that between shots I probably grip the racket at about a 2/3 and then during the swing/contact phase would squeeze to about a 7 (just enough to make sure the racket head stays firm)...does that help?

      @@ThePadelSchool Thanks Sandy for your reply. My question arises because, playing usually tennis, I had several wrist problems and I started playing holding the racket with less force than before and I noticed that, leaving the racket freer to move, I have the feeling of having increased the power of some shots (mainly I refer to the smash and, in general, in that shots in which you try to pull the ball hard). Wanting to translate the strength of the grip into the scale from 1 to 10, I would say that in the smash phase I use a force equal to 4-5, leaving more freedom for the racquet to exploit the inertia of the movement without burdening the wrist joints ... In your opinion is this correct and can it make sense?

    I have troubles with a situation i often find myself in when going for a serve in Australian formation and running to the other side of the court (Right side player serving from left or Leftside player serving from right). As described in your bonus tip, I rush from serve position to the position I'm playing in but I often get a (diagonal) fast return to the serve position I came from. So, that's counter foot/ against the direction i come from.
    I either find myself on the left side, too late to recover to get the ball that went past me in opposite direction (when I served from the right side)
    OR the return is still in the trajectory i'm running and i try to hit it whilst running, resulting in an un-controlled shot, mostly hitting the back glass wall.
    Basically the area around the 'T' in the middle is not covered enough when crossing. What can I do here? Any tips?

    Perhaps important to note the difference between a left hand and a right hand player... this can greatly influence the positioning...

    • @ThePadelSchool
      @ThePadelSchool  3 роки тому

      As far as where to serve from and move to - it doesn't influence it that much actually. It might influence the decision to who takes which shots and during the point more...

    The explanation of your choice of starting position in normal formation vs australian formation was an eye opener. It seems so natural now. Of course I want to serve from the T if we're standing in an australian formation; so I can can get to my side more quickly. It's perfectly logical, I just hadn't thought about it that way before. Thanks!

    Can you change from normal to Australian formation during one game.. or the all game needs to be played entirely one way or the other?

    • @ThePadelSchool

      Great question (sorry for the delay in responding!) - I would say it is better to play with better players, but be aware it is a learning process and not necessarily about the results!
