@@theresakennedy7339 You clearly don't understand classical vocal techique. Most people don't. You don't walk off the street and execute proper classical vocal technique correctly. Such a role would require singing arias. It necessitates YEARS of study. 🤷♂️
I am so moved by her story! Thank you for sharing. ❤❤❤
Wow! I'm going to recommend her story to the Black Music Archives channel. Thank you for this wonderful and inspirational account.🙏🏾
Thank you for this!
Somebody really needs to get Fantasia on this story and FAST! Like, I’m so serious, she really needs to see this 💜
I just said that!!!
Bless her soul 🙏🏽
Very Sad and Beautiful Story RIP
Beautiful story ❤
It would be nice to hear her singing. They should've added that so we could hear her voice.
She earned $20,000 a year? In 1896, that was more than our $700,000 a year! That's great!
I cane to youtube to hear her voice 😭
I hope Fantasia does a biopic
Why? She's not a classical singer.
@@renzy79 music is music and Fantasia can sing anything. It’s called acting.
@@theresakennedy7339
Acting and executing classical technique are not the same. That is why singers work for years to achieve it.
@@renzy79 I think she’s capable. They look alike, just different timing. Fantasia. Has enough range to study classical enough to do a Movie.

Hugh? There were no recordings of her voice, and she sang at so many places? No grave marking? Don't make any sense to me.
They have newspaper editorials though. They probably didn’t bother to record a black woman at that time.
It makes sense w the racism of the time.
Marian Anderson, Jessye Norman, Kathleen battle- go look them up if you don’t know them
All men are created equal.
