I was enjoying this until you also flew through the Substance Painter portion. That's why I tuned in to this, to help me learn Painter. I went through the trouble of modeling this thing, only to hear that you have a material in Painter that you already made and it's one you recycle. What good does that do someone who wants to learn Painter?
To get rid of the stretching click on UV then camera based to reset them, after that make your cuts again and unfold. Go to you UV-shell click on one of your shells then click get texel density select all and set your texel density
Usually, when I have this weird stretching of UV problem, it's because I accidentally put the object in a group that has transformations. Great video!!
when u get that UV issue, after u perform freeze transformation and clear history, Delete the UV's or reset them, and UV it again, it should fixed that issue. it happen usualy cuz the duplication for some reason, something about connection i would assume.
for that weird stretching uvs i found one solution that you can export that element as obj and imported again and will fix it, but for me also work when you delete history and freeze transformation . Again nice video i like your channel keep doing well
Can you make a video on how you determine your baking settings or just a quick comment as whenever I bake a high poly onto a low poly my models look awful
Awful how? low resolution, artifacts? it really depends on what the issue you are getting as it could be related to Uv's, normals on the model, the high poly being too different to the low poly, etc
@@3dextrude I can't explain it too well but mine is not a solid white colour like yours after baking and also rays are visible on it and I'm using default settings.
@@ignaciocristina4059 first of make sure your vertex normals are good. And I would also recommend to try and bake in marmoset. Tiedie just released a great tutorial making a type writer from start to finish which goes over baking and everything else.

kinda curious, what's your background in terms of experience. Also your workflow, it is more leaning towards gaming? I have never touched stylized in my life.
My experience has been in the video game industry, have only worked on top down arpgs. And yes my workflow is mainly for game asset creation. The main difference for film is to keep all quads on models, and shader work which is done in whatever renderer is being used.
Hey, man. How did you do that bit about adding different colour to different parts like the post-it? Did you have them as separate objects and just pulled a new instance of the stylized materials on it? Or just made a new layer and masked it? It was a bit too quick for me to get. One day I'd love to see these videos in 1:1 speed with some talk through should everything in real time..
hello, I really like the work you have done, but since the videos you have taken are fast, I cannot understand what you are doing, it would be great if your videos were slow, thank you...
The base material is only a base lit color or it have some noise/layers? I know you are choosing one color for the base but it feels like a car paint with microscope colors details.
I loved the model and tried to do it myself, the most difficult for me is the texturing. I wanted to learn how "Substance Paint" works on these types of models. very frustrated when I saw that you have a personal texture that does not have "Substance Painter" and I don't know how to get it. It was a perfect tutorial up to that point.
There is a substance community workshop where they add textures. You can go there and perhaps try to get a texture which is similar to the refrigerator
Nice tutorial video about 3D design. I know lots of people also are intersted in bring their design to life or even produce the object/product they designed. We made resin printers which can duplicate the details on the design and bring it to life. Maybe we could cooperate on it? To let more people know about the 3D design and the easier way to bring the design to real life. Please feel free to contact if you're interested in this.

Awesome. Is this recorded in real time? Do you work this quickly?

wow haha

3dex thank you so much that you started narrating most of your videos It's so helpful for us to understand your process and things we didn't know
Happy to hear that!
I'm new to Maya~
But i really like your 3D design
Nice, thank you

Yeah that was a weird thing that happened. Deleting history should have fixed it, but yeah re importing might have done it too
Freezing the transformation and deleting history might fix the the stretching issue while you unwrap UVs
yeah, it was weird; tried that and didn't work for some reason; should have spent more time to figure out what the issue was
Amazing, nice texture!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Wow !!! fantastic job. Love it. You have my like. Greetings

I cant understand why it looks so easy but my models are shit. I've been trying and trying for a long time but idk

another amazing piece. Bro one question, the turn table, did you make that on substance??? thanks a lot!!

Make a short video how you import textures and use marmoset for render

I'm surprised you didn't plug the 1-hour version of this without narration that's on your Gumroad.
It's there for those who want to check it out, don't push them much because they don't have narration and don't want people to think they do.

Uv stretching is cause of lack of supporting loops
Hey, Great job! Why do you make lowpoly and highpoly model?
I wanted to transfer the bevel to the low poly, also to add the extra details to the back
great

It was a new layer and masked it to that part.
Is that damage a smart material? Sorry new to substance painter
the orange stuff, that was painted manually, just an extra layer with some height on it and painted via masking.
Can you fix the texture problem caused by UV seams?
Are you using a separate program for the coating?
for painting I used Substance Painter
hello, I really like the work you have done, but since the videos you have taken are fast, I cannot understand what you are doing, it would be great if your videos were slow, thank you...
Regular speed videos are posted on Patreon/Premium page, they are not narrated though.
Is it advisable to bevel edges of low poly objects?
The base material is only a base lit color or it have some noise/layers? I know you are choosing one color for the base but it feels like a car paint with microscope colors details.
it's mainly a flat color, but there is a layer on top for edges.
Why did you cut your UV‘s like that? You would have seams if it wasn’t such an uniform texture.
for what specifically? Yes, it's good practice to have uv seams in areas where seams won't be too noticeable if they do show up
very good :)
Thank you!

Can you reduce video speed ? I set video at 0.25 speed but i can't follow your manipulation
Is Disney Animation style called stylized?
I would say so, yes.
nice
in which software turn around render is done ?
marmoset toolbag
I please wanted a video on substance painter beginner level..(ps: slow video with explaination)
How did you do the cable in Maya?
Used a cv curve and then extruded a nurbs circle
Bro how can i get real time video ?
Through : www.patreon.com/3dEx or 3dex.net/premiumpage/ ; keep in mind most videos are not narrated
sir, the cable how to do curve to polygon T_T
because when export curve to substance painter, it cannot show it
you have to extrude as polygons, you don't need to export the curve itself. Delete history and delete the actual curve
