  • While heat waves and more intense storms have been directly linked to a warming Earth, new research is exploring possible impacts of an Arctic that is warming at twice the pace of the rise in global temperatures. Jennifer Francis, Rutgers University, discusses new research and efforts to understand this controversial aspect of climate change in Metcalf's Climate Change and the News webinar that aired May 17, 2017.

You are entirely correct. This was Published May 30, 2017 so I'm not calling cherry-picking deceit but it does skate quite close. I vaguely recall the settled-back 2017 temperatures as about half way between 2014 and 2016, sort of like +0.85 2014 up to +1.27 2016 and back to 1.05 2017 but anybody interested can find the information in 5 minutes.

Awesome work! I live in New Jersey and it's clear that this is what's causing the current weather pattern. We had better get solid Leadership soon for it's starting to look like there will be no holing back the effects of abrupt change.

Atmospheric jet stream has been getting "wavier" for thousands of years actually. Not a new concept. Not extra CO2 pumped by man. In fact, Indonesia's Mt Sinabung just this week pumped more CO2 into the atmosphere than man has since 1850.

Franklin Taylor you are completely in error which is why your cite nothing but your uninformed opinion.
In fact, Humans emit annually 100 times more than all volcanos combined annually. www.scientificamerican.com/article/earthtalks-volcanoes-or-humans/

Well thank you for your uninformed link dropping ...opinion. You offer nothing as well I see but a bought out and paid for article from a well known bought out magazine. We're not talking PAST volcanoes were talking current ones and many are erupting everywhere. More than they have in years. You all like to say any one opposing the view of man made global warming is supported or supporting big oil I will accuse your side of being bought out by leftist rabble rousers. No links needed.

Thanks for the hilarious factless filled link.. You morons don't want to face up to the fact that Antarctica will never melt unless the equator were to turn full on that continent. That would never be man's fault. Undersea volcanoes are working in those areas that they are marginally melting. A continent that has a mean temperature of -68 degrees F will never melt at that rate.No link needed to prove ice doesn't melt at -68 fool. Thanks.
