- #JamaicaGleaner Controversial Westmoreland Central Member of Parliament George Wright is demanding an apology from Opposition Leader Mark Golding, who he has accused of verbally assaulting him during Thursday’s ceremonial opening of Parliament. Wright, who last year resigned from the governing Jamaica Labour Party after a video emerged of a man assaulting a woman with his fists and a stool, was admonished by opposition members when they realised he walked among the group making the traditional trek up Duke Street.

Wright is so Wrong and completely lacking in self awareness! Why did he think for a second that he should March with the PNP? He stands alone and should march alone! In some countries he would probably have been stoned!
What a thing heh! If Wright is stoned so to the other two Parliamentarians sitting in our House of Parliament today. Arrest and charges were brought against those two and you all ignoring that. Such hypocrisy! If you are against that nasty act, condemn all who did it , not just the one man.

Mr. Wright has yet to display accountability or apologise to the nation for his actions that led to him being in this predicament so absolutely no apology should be extended to him by anyone. He had to know neither party would be okay with him walking with them. He should've been a strong black man & walked alone....but wait, he isn't a strong black man, being a press button who physically fights his woman instead of ending such a toxic relationship or setting the pace for a healthy relationship. He needs to apologise to the nation of young men and woman who feels his relationship is relationship goals.

Right now you're just trying to deflect from the fact that this man is shameless & has not taken any accountability for his actions. The reason George Wright stands out is because he's shameless and acting from a place of entitlement in acting like he has been disrespected and wronged and well thinking Jamaicans are not okay with that. Maybe if, like the other abusers you mentioned, he keep quiet, stay under the radar and stop being so arrogant & seeking attention then he wouldn't incense people so much. This behaviour from Mark Golding does not seem right for any person aspiring to be the leader of a country. It was malicious and downright disgusting.
Mr Wright's behavior has no presence in leadership and so should be removed. None of you have come publicly and demand an apology to the woman who was abused or even to the women and young girls/women of this island. So as a representative of politics and leadership of this island, that behavior is unacceptable!!!
