Now that I have the kit fitted I have found that if you de limit the bike using the phone app that then allows the blue tooth control to go beyond the 15.5 mph/25 kph limit. I got up to 36 kph using the controller once I had done this. I presume that this is because the setting is applied to the control module contained in the battery holder. Using the throttle only it takes to long for the motor to pick up speed and I don't bother with it. Initial impressions are positive though I think I will ultimately go to a pre built bike in the future. Your reviews have been very helpful. 👍👍

Well based on your experience and review of this system I have bought one for my wife and one for me. Unfortunately as of this date there is about a 7 week wait as they are selling so many. I got £150 discount for ordering 2 kits. Ultimately I was looking for a kit that was relatively light weight and simple to fit. The Swytch system is just too expensive given that it costs almost twice the cost of this system and the battery hanging out the front looks ugly. This kit just blends nicely.
Glad I could help in a small way , just a pity about the wait but there popularity has risen over the past year . I also looked at the swytch kit and yes a bit pricey so opted for the easifit kit . Still you will have them ready for summer 🚲👍
Are you not concerned someone could snatch your phone with it being in full view on handlebars? I don't mean leaving it on the bike if you leave it obviously, but when moving through slow traffic or at lights etc.
You mentioned in one of your other videos that you changed the rim (or was it the tyre) on the wheel supplied because it was a poor fit. Also, you don't mention the charging procedure or how long a single charge lasts. I would appreciate more info if possible please. Thanks Bob
Yes I changed the rim as a precaution , someone else had an issue were the tyre came off (I had no problems) I did notice when changing tyres that front went on far too easy compared to the back . Charging takes around 3-4 hours and you will get around 30 miles on a good day , taking in factors like terrain , wind etc hope this helps atb Dave
Great video. Thanks. I have seen some commentary regarding the fit of the tyre on the wheel supplied with the kit. Have you had any issues with the tyre not being a close fit on the rim and working loose and causing punctures or other issues?
Thanks Norman , I actually changed my rim to the correct size as didn’t want a tyre coming off down hill !!! But I didn’t have any issues with the old one even though it was a loose fit when I put new tyres on . The new rim was on about £25 and I fitted it myself but got it trued at a bike shop .

I can't connect the iPhone App. Where is it connecting to - the thing at the base of the battery or the controller on the handlebars? Is it because the handlebar display is connected and it's a choice of one or the other?
You connect the iphone to the controller which is built into the battery . You can either have the display using your phone or the bluetooth controller it came with but not both together.
Open the app and click on the magnifying glass icon in top right , your phone will show up when Bluetooth is on . Then just click it and you should be paired 👍
Possibly cut out on e wheel drive is due to blue tooth intermittent cut off? If bottle battery elecyronics are closer to front wheel this might produce a better connection?
ordered mine 2 weeks ago there telling me now i wont have it until late may ah well no point giving out lol.would you leave your phone set on 70 % for say 30 miles spin .i like the idea of motor not cutting out at 15mph using phone seems better option.

Ours took 60 days as they predicted. Shipped from China overland. Jealous of the places the wheel has seen :-). Suez canal problem also delayed shipping if coming that way. Joys of the global economy. Still waiting for the 2nd wheel, but it's now in Poland waiting to be delivered from there to Spain. No extra costs for customs here.
If you input all the information on the app does it store it in the bottle holder or does it just sync when you open the app, as I would rather use the digital thumb control.
Hi some really good info there, can i fit this to my road bike as its a Boardman and the wheels are 28/1.10 ? quite thin, or can i just get a 28/2.00 say,
done my first spin tonight hilly 30 km on 20% assist and 40% when it got steep made climbing hills a breeze.display showed 3 bars when i got home so is that 3 bars used or 3 bars left silly question but got to ask.i got stung for tax 200 euro ouch wasn't expecting that .cheers dave any more tips send them my way keep up the videos thanks.

I'm unable to connect my bike with the Bluetooth, I've paired it on my phone but I can't do it on the app it says Bluetooth not connected, any idea anyone?
I know it’s obvious but Is the battery switched on when trying to pair ? if so try deleting app and reinstalling. If using the easifit app ,also try using the we power app or the ultraEbike app, these also work with this kit. And see if these work any better.
Silly question I suppose, so apologies in advance. Does this kit have a pedal assist sensor - what I mean is when you stop pedaling, does that cut the power from the battery until you start pedaling again?
It is built into the controller, so when you stop pedalling the power stops . There is no drag tho it just freewheels until you start pedalling again and the power will assist . You can set this from 0 to 99% , I set mine around 60% atb Dave

seems like this company has gone under it was fun while it lasted I can't get the phone app to work at all now so if my wheel locks again I'm stuffed ... there are many complaints about easi-fit their site is down and no one replies to any messages via email or on the phone ... ho hum I guess it was too big a thing for them to handle and they decided to do a runner ... so what started out as what I thought was a good product and company has turned out to be bog standard both equipment wise and customer service so don't bother folks look somewhere else ... I am NOT amused
I sold my kit at the start of the year having bought a dedicated e assist bike, and needing the space as my bike collection was getting crowded. I don’t know what’s going on with the website but looking at the really negative reviews on trustpilot makes for grim reading. It was all good at the start and Clive couldn’t be more helpful , he replaced a battery no issue at all . This was the number I had for Clive 0333 577 0343 but I guess that is switched off now . But yeah it looks like he’s done a runner

I suggest you delete all your videos on here or post a message IN CAPITALS warning people of what's happened and to avoid this lot at all costs as there still may be laces selling this kit under the name of Easi-Fit.
They aren’t trading anymore , like everyone I paid for it with my own cash and at the time the kit was good as was customer service . however reading the reviews over the last few months something has seriously happened at easifit as they’ve just gone , sadly for people still buying the kit with no aftersales or warranty now .

Phone is kept in my pocket at all times , so we’ll out of sight . It connects via Bluetooth no problem 🚴🏻♂️👍

Have charged the Bluetooth controller up , it might have run out of charge 🤷♂️👍

Even a 250w moter with a 42v 10ah battery and a 10amp esc is putting out 420watts full throttle
but where do u put the bluetooth without the display? that kit doesnt include bluetooth i have the same.

No I don’t have it connected , sometimes when I connect via BT it’s a bit slow at recognising my bike

No you can’t because the cable comes out one end of the through bolt .

Possibly but I don't use the bluetooth controller . I just pair it with my iPhone and stills drops out now and again.

It syncs with the app, if you only use the thumb control you can control everything via the Bluetooth controller attached to the bike .

I can’t see why not as long as the hub motor will fit in the gap , and yeah I would go with a slightly wider tyre .
how many miles does it do in 1 charge?
Roughly around 35 miles depending on rider weight , hills , wind etc

Yes but If you have the phone attached to your bike the app has a boost button, but I wouldn’t call it a boost more of not needing to pedal lol

How many amps from the esc ?
It will be less than 420 watts as only a 36v 5.8ah battery but it still nips along
