Yep, for the second one, not including the captain toad you find by getting the secret exit in level 2, if you do the secret exit in level 4 (left of the two levels when you go to the second area), go to the top right and you’ll be able to take a warp pipe to another captain toad. And then, after the wiggler race, go south at the crossroads , and go into the swamp area, and again top right corner there’s a pipe to captain toad.
The fact you grabbed that 3rd 10 coin first try in the final final level and then managed to pass the invisible level 2nd try was truly remarkable. I think it took me around 150 -200 lives and a couple of days in the level.

Yeah, 3D World had a LOT of extra stages. I think that was because Nintendo lost the casual market during the Wii U era, and were scramble to preseve the hardcore players, less they decide move to PS/Xbox. Look how heavly they advertised the Bayonetta titles and Wonderful 101.. Now they don't need to do that as much, given they're the market leader again. They could have had each world have a dedicated boss with a wonder effect. Heck even bring the koopalings back and have each of them get a wonder effect, that would enhance their style.
I agree, they literally just had free royal seeds and free wonder seeds, when the worlds without BJR could’ve had unique wonder bosses they could’ve made, similar to how they made unique bosses for Odyssey with the Wedding planner rabbits, could’ve been koopalings or enemies powered up on wonder smh

I've played that final-final test level a lot of times and still can't get used to the spring badge section. Has to be _the_ worst badge of them all. But it's fun revisiting the level and helping others make it to the end. As a tip for the final invisible badge section, use your emotes to show where you are so you're not completely blind. Emote after every jump and it'll be easy.
I couldn't do the spring section so I used Nabbit which made that section super easy. I didn't even think about using emotes, in local coop one player has a crown which made the invisible section not so painful
That, or play Yoshi. You can even set it to 2 player, and have 2nd player ride on Yoshi, then play Yoshi. That helps immensely with the Bloomps in the invisible level too.
Bought this 4 days ago. Completed everything 2 days ago. Yea, this game left me wanting more. Had a lot of fun with it. Helping other people on some of the harder levels. That was pretty cool.
I feel like the reason why they had 4 "Baby Mode" Yoshis was mostly so everyone can use one in Multiplayer and be less annoyed when they get hit amidst the multiplayer chaos. Nabbit was already a good option for "Baby Mode", but Yoshi with the flutter is just even more broken. But oh well. BLUE TOAD GANG!
I think Ryu didn’t realize that the third level with the Lakitus throwing all the spineys was supposed to be reminiscent of a pinball machine - especially with the overhead view, and the sounds.
The reason why Nabbit isn't the only easy mode character is because if say four kids want to play together via co-op you all can't pick Nabbit. Each person can only be one character, so this way 4 casual kids could all have easy mode.
Loved my playthrough of this game while I also had my moments of struggle the game felt refreshing. The wonder flowers usually changed things up and just took away from the same ol platforming, but in a good way. Plus I got to play as my second favorite Mario Character, Daisy, and it was just so incredibly fun.. I didn't use online cause personally it felt like cheating, just a self dignity thing, but I've seen others play online and it seems to work really well full co-op without friendly fire of throwing people off ledges and if that's something you enjoy, playing with help or with anyone else then the online multiplayer is done excellently. Truly a game deserving of the name Wonder. It's rare I can go into a game with high expectations and still come out blown away by the upgrades from what "new soup" offered. So much charm, so much passion, and most importantly, you can tell the devs just had fun with the concepts, and it shows, this game personally is by far the best Mario Platformer that isn't modded. Ryuuuu that's not allowed!!!! Nice run. This is definitely one of, if not the best Mario games in a long time. It was fun and felt more like SMW to me, which is my favourite. Played through this with my little one and we had a blast.
Ok, hearing your review and all the commentary you made during the game, I definitely think you should play Rayman Legends if you have not already. Great game with a lot of musical and speedy stuff combined with the gameplay, you'll love it. Also a very long and fun curve of progression for speedrun strats, everytime you think you've mastered it, you see a ghost going so fast ahead of you.
Regarding Yoshi being an easy mode character. I don't mind it so much, but I was really hoping they'd give him something extra to do and something extra to unlock so that he wasn't just an easy mode character. For example what if every level had a Poplin that Yoshi had to find and take him to the exit, or maybe even play the level in reverse using Yoshi to escort the Poplin to the beginning (for some contrived reason). Then after doing that you'd unlock a few levels made specifically for Yoshi. Perhaps even unlock "team-up" levels that would require Mario (or friends) to be able to jump off of Yoshi to complete the platforming. Something like that would add a TON of replayability to the game.
For the final-final, the invisible badge fucking kicked my ass. I ended up having to cheese it by enabling multiplayer to see the crown. I loved every part of that level except for that last badge.
I'm so glad we're finally past intentionally shitty controls. When I first saw the spiked ball form, I was expecting it to control like garbage, because that's usually how it goes. SMBW is such a non frustrating game. It has some challenging levels, sure, but it never gets frustrating or unfair. The controls always feel good, so when I lose a life, I have no one to blame but myself.
I played as Blue Yoshi for most of the game (character choice, not difficulty choice) so it might've made some levels, such as 14:05 alot easier, but the only ones I really struggled with were 1:50 and 25:47, which each took about 20-30 lives. The game otherwise is quite easy and the 10 coins aren't that much harder, especially considering that you keep them if you die on a level as long as you reach the flagpole at some point in that game session without exiting the level.
The wall jump badge is actually what I used for climb to beat. Ur right it saves you frames on the wall jump selection it’s the first purple coin. You just need to spin wall jump everywhere else and you’ll be fine.
I was shaking my head the whole time you were buying the character specific standees, spending 3X the coins you needed to. The system doesn't give you duplicates, so you could have just bought 10 coin standees until they were all filled... I mean it hardly cost me as a viewer any time, but you could have saved yourself a farming trip lol. Great Run - really enjoyed watching you play!
It definitely gives you duplicates with the ten coins but not the 30. Trick is to buy the 10 coins until you're at least above 100 then switch to the 30's when your odds of getting duplicates are too high.
You made it look so easy. I started with like 60 lives and was down to my last two lives before I beat it, lol. They were way too nice putting checkpoints in it though.
The invisibility final final test took me hours I’m so jealous you got it so quickly lmao. I really burned myself out but was determined. Loved this game. I wish there was new game plus to restart but keep badges.
I have spent most of the yesterday's trying to finish that Jump Jump Jump level and you managed to finish it in your third go. you are a modern day genius
Ryu forgot to mention in his review that the boss fights (outside of Bowser) were lackluster and the ship "boss" fights were just hot garbage. Also very sad we didn't get to see what that Sound off badge did!
The final final test is such a fun level. Tests your skill in the different badges and takes some skill too.... Tho whoever designed the invisible section, I have some words for you oml for it to be the last part of the level and this frustrating is beyond me.
Had to take a break and turn it off last night trying do that final invisible stretch jumping on the pufferfish balloons after losing all my lives and getting booted one jump form the goal ;_;
My criticism was similar. The double jump and parachute are overpowered, and the number of levels of full length really aren't a whole lot. 3D World dominates about double in terms of its length of 100%. Still a 9/10 for me, but a couple more worlds would have been nice.
I think the main theme of this game is the subtitle "WONDER" - it's random AF, indeed, as if you go on a trip every time to get that flower! 😅 Just a culmination of a bunch of random and most bizarre shit, but it's awesome! Love the part where he suddenly shot off into space and floating around in that storm - brilliantly and beautiful made, in my opinion... Like you're playing through compilations of lucid dreams, which I think was excellently done! ✌️😁
They could just add it to Mario Maker 2- there is still a space for a DLC in the menu. Not really worth it to make a brand new game for it. MM2 added Zelda so it could add anything
Really enjoyed you replaying the levels. I did them all over the last few days. Most of he levels were fairly easy but some were as tricky as hell. The last four sections took me forever because I kept dying on the invisible badge section. Funny seeing you make the same mistakes I did. Good stuff. Now I just need to get all the standees for 100% completion.
I used the hat for the climbing wall beat level!!! That's the only power up IMO that could be used for that. You can float when you dont make it. This was such a cool vid. They didnt play around when it came to this game!
The special world levels definitely gave me a challenge, especially Climb To The Beat, But the gauntlet at the very end??? I was actually talking about the wonder gauntlet, but I just beat the final badge test, and I have to say that that bullshit is worse!
One simple change they could've made to the game is just to have it as an option in the character select screen to turn damage on and off for each player. That way anyone could be any of the characters
Tanooki Mario wasn't themed in Mario 3. No caped Bowser in Super Mario World. Really Bowser playing into the cat theme in 3D World is sort of a break from the mold.
I kind of feel like Yoshi had to be an easy mode character. It's cannon that he doesn't take damage (that I'm aware of, in any 2D Mario game he's appeared in). He falls into pits, sure, but runs away from his rider, OK, but he is indestructible. And being an easy mode character means it makes sense to have different colours to choose from. My kids love picking a specific colour of Yoshi.
I came so close to doing it in about 60-ish lives (50 + earned), but failed at the end and had to do it again. But then I breezed through the earlier bits before hitting a wall on the invisible portion again. Man, super, super tough stuff. But I did lose a lot less lives the second time, probably 20-30 to get through. Great job getting through that! Quite the challenge, much like Super Mario 3D World's Crown-Crown.
Yes a lot of assets from wonder should definitely be in SMM 3. So many new enemies, items, land items parts like blocks and platforms, the badge system, and even the wonder seeds some how. Yes I also agree the yoshi's should not all have been easy mode characters but only 2 of them or just nabbit.
I realized today the game is set in the flower kingdom and not the mushroom kingdom because trippy wonder mushrooms would send the wrong message kids. Wonder how far in development before this happened.
There are some really nice-looking momentum-based levels in this game that make me wish Nintendo would make a Sonic the Hedgehog game. Genuine speed and rhythm levels would make so much sense in a Sonic game.
That level took me a good 50 attempts, the last section is just brutal imo, miss one jump in the invisibility part, get sent back 4 rooms. And imagine not grabbing the top of the flagpole, you’ll have to do the whole thing again.
SO Sick to see you 100% this game!!! I did it day 1 and I was also lost when it came to finding the world 1 level 2 secret exit. I feel like that's kinda on us lol since almost every mario game's level 2 has a secret exit. LOVED THIS GAME!! I hope nintendo makes more like this and goes for Mario Maker 3.
For me there was so many things that just popped in for 1-2 levels and were never used again, loved this game overall, and if we get SMM3 w/wonders and a better super-expert setup it will be sick.
Man I am so glad you lost at least a few lives on the badge marathon. I'm still trying to beat it by stacking up a mountain of dead Toads to climb up. Just gotta calm down on invisibility.

This dude just flying through it on one try like some of us haven’t lost a million lives on it. Lol
The wall jump badge is actually what I used for climb to beat. Ur right it saves you frames on the wall jump selection it’s the first purple coin. You just need to spin wall jump everywhere else and you’ll be fine.
I don’t believe you beat the invisibility part that easily
I was shaking my head the whole time you were buying the character specific standees, spending 3X the coins you needed to. The system doesn't give you duplicates, so you could have just bought 10 coin standees until they were all filled... I mean it hardly cost me as a viewer any time, but you could have saved yourself a farming trip lol. Great Run - really enjoyed watching you play!
It definitely gives you duplicates with the ten coins but not the 30. Trick is to buy the 10 coins until you're at least above 100 then switch to the 30's when your odds of getting duplicates are too high.
Finally a real challenge, loved it! Also I can say the game is beautiful, finally fixed the art style, one I can tolerate now.
I like scrolling through your video thumbnails and seeing you shimmy side-to-side
i think a speed run of the special world by itself would be more interesting than the main game
That was crazy quick for 100% 👍🏻 awesome job , well nothing left to do but continue with Sea of Stars 😂😂😂
Mario maker needs this game as a style
That first level you played is legit the only level I just had trouble with I didn’t think to try the vine grab but that is nutty. Good stuff!
He definitely played these levels before making the video.
The final final test is such a fun level. Tests your skill in the different badges and takes some skill too.... Tho whoever designed the invisible section, I have some words for you oml for it to be the last part of the level and this frustrating is beyond me.
Had to take a break and turn it off last night trying do that final invisible stretch jumping on the pufferfish balloons after losing all my lives and getting booted one jump form the goal ;_;
Farm 1 ups here: www.reddit.com/r/SuperMarioWonder/s/olErmMllQw
My criticism was similar. The double jump and parachute are overpowered, and the number of levels of full length really aren't a whole lot. 3D World dominates about double in terms of its length of 100%. Still a 9/10 for me, but a couple more worlds would have been nice.
Double jump? You mean the extra wall jump?
@@wifi961No, the boosting spin jump badge allows you to double jump
@@Molten2004 oh
Collecting all 3 purple coins in one go in climb to beat almost broke me
I think the main theme of this game is the subtitle "WONDER" - it's random AF, indeed, as if you go on a trip every time to get that flower! ✌️😁
Dude excited for this special announcement...I don't know what it is, but that teaser sure looks like a Ryukahr character to play as which would be 🤯
It's a YouTooz. A Ryu figurine
@@skeetsmcgrew3282 lol ...I knew it wasn't a playable character. I was just saying that's what it looks like in that teaser.
Just 100%'d it this morning. 10/10
Thanks for the playthrough. I avoided your videos until I completed it. 🎉🎉🎉
GG, Ryu. Awesome play through. Enjoyed watching every last second.
In super mario world theres a special world AND a star world. Wish nintendo still tried to go the extra mile for older fans.
This really does show how much potential mario maker 3 could have with more stuff.
They could just add it to Mario Maker 2- there is still a space for a DLC in the menu. Not really worth it to make a brand new game for it. MM2 added Zelda so it could add anything
@@kagemara277 MM2 also has a ton of issues that need to be addressed.
Awe shit a YOUTOOZ! Congrats dude that's awesome!!!!! 🙌🙌
Don’t say stuff like that
If i had to give a star rating to the final level, it would be 7. It's so much harder than anything else in the game
It took me like 50 times to pass that climb wall stage
The special world levels definitely gave me a challenge, especially Climb To The Beat, But the gauntlet at the very end???
I was actually talking about the wonder gauntlet, but I just beat the final badge test, and I have to say that that bullshit is worse!
I was crying when Ryu got smashed by the pipe .....lol
Ryu: We 100% the game
Credits mini game: Excuse me sir?
One simple change they could've made to the game is just to have it as an option in the character select screen to turn damage on and off for each player. That way anyone could be any of the characters
21:32 unfortunate
25:37 BILLY MAYS HERE
Think he definitely played these stages before recording, still fun watch^^
I died so many times on these levels...you make them look easy mode...
My kids love picking a specific colour of Yoshi.
no WAY you managed to clear Fluff-Puff Peaks on your 3rd try, I must have spent over 50+ lives on that level
I spent 2 hours for the Final-FInal test on the last session. Invisibility is brutal. Overall it's a good game well done Nintendo!
Bro rly did just skip every star on the end and lost the seed to the 10 sec timer😂😂😂
That's you! In toy form
Almost like Mario Maker was just crowd-sourced design research for Mario Wonder...
the invisible badge in the final final test was the bane of my existence
Ain't no way Ryu did the invisible part in so few tries. He is a damn robot using hacks!
For me the last level where you use the spring jump mid air left wanting so much more!!
I realized today the game is set in the flower kingdom and not the mushroom kingdom because trippy wonder mushrooms would send the wrong message kids.
Wonder how far in development before this happened.
So nothing tells you to try the SOUND off badge on the final boss which is a MUSIC festival?
There are some really nice-looking momentum-based levels in this game that make me wish Nintendo would make a Sonic the Hedgehog game. Genuine speed and rhythm levels would make so much sense in a Sonic game.
That level took me a good 50 attempts, the last section is just brutal imo, miss one jump in the invisibility part, get sent back 4 rooms. And imagine not grabbing the top of the flagpole, you’ll have to do the whole thing again.
Those are legit good levels. I am surprised.
Why Ryu keep callin' me "boy?"
Almost spit my food out at Ryu's pronunciation of "Petal Island"...take it easy, there, Epstein.
Special 2 was the level I grinded the purple coins out on
Epic play through you definitely have the talent to WR speed run this game
The Spike Ball Wonder Flower handles so well, right!? Modders are gonna have such fun with this game.
