Now round the leading edge of each blade with most of the rounding on the suction side. Also sharpen the trailing edge by filing and sanding on the suction side. Then be amazed at how much quieter the fan is and how much more air it pushes. Also do some static balancing (at least) by putting a pin through the centre and trying to balance the fan on a horizontal surface. Then file away some weight on whichever blade always falls 1st. If you want to be really clever and amazed; put a bell mouth shaped ring around the fans circumference. That will make it safer too.
