- 100 Years of Wedding Dresses features authentic, nontraditional wedding dresses in real period spaces. Our goal was to show nontraditional brides throughout history and that every bride is beautiful on her wedding day and beyond.
100 Years of Wedding Dresses was sponsored by Chez Vous Catering, a catering company located on Staten Island. We filmed in the Historic Edgewater Hall which was built in 1876. We also briefly shot in Overspray, an event space on Staten Island.
The designers featured for 100 Years of Wedding Dresses are: Monkey Girlz Boutique, Hey Viv!, Bossina Couture, and Every Thing Goes Clothing.
ETG Clothing provided the clothing for the following looks: 1900, 1946, 1980, and 1990. They also provided the fur for the 1920 and 2000 looks. Monkey Girlz provided the looks for the 1910-40s and the 1960-80s as well as all of the accessories, veils and jewelry. Hey Viv! provided the pink 1950s dress, all of the gloves, the white pill box hat, and the cream bird cage hat worn for the 1946 look. Bossina Couture provided all of the looks for the modern day wedding gowns from 2000 and 2016.
Almost of these dresses were worn by actual brides during their respective eras (except for the 2000-2016 dresses, those are sample gowns from Bossina Couture and have been worn by many brides since 2006). We have documentation to go along with each of the gowns, along with their original wedding photos, sketches of the original dresses, and even pictures of other generations wearing the gowns on their various wedding days.

same
My gosh the 1900 one is GORGEOUS😍😍😍 I can't even
yes!!!
The 80's always manage to fuck some shit up. Sometimes is gorgeous, sometimes its noooo.
People make the 100 year videos so well and then when they get to the 80's they make it soooo stereotypical that it annoys me so much
Half of them didn't even look like a brides gown; it looks more like a brides maid dress
love that 1966 dress
LOVE the 40s W dress
Dresses from the late 1800-1900 were so beautiful. add accessories from the 40's & 50's and I'm done! 😘
I love 40'
30s and 40s are the best!
I love the 40's
Why so many dislikes? I thought this was really well done
These dresses look like replicas.

And of course the now dresses and HATE the 70's to 80's
wow the 70s one was my favourite.... : (
Make up, shoes and hair are wrong for firsts decades. But the most dresses are cool. Congratulations for the video!
30s and 40s are the best!
80s wedding dresses had puffy sleeves and most of them were longer. 80s wedding fashion drew inspiration from the Victorian/Edwardian period (although they were very distinctly 80s) and many weddings were pretty traditional. I know they were maybe going for a punk look but most brides didn't look like this.
I do like the looks that were presented in the video however I did not think many represented the times- for example when I look at videos of the 1980s there was a short black strapless dress with a black veil, I don't recall this being a trend of the time however I did appreciate the look, just not as a wedding dress from that time.
wtf 2016 the bride is busy with her smartphone, LMAO
1930;2016;1916☺☺☺
This is so lovely! Thank you for including Chez Vous in this shoot.
