that is even more easy... only thing in BRS preparation is you have to analyse which item to add and which item to less... if you can analyse that using the simple analysis table discussed in this video, it is very easy to prepare BRS using any method... That method is also very simple.... you have to take all plus column items under 'add' heading in inner column of that format and write the total in outer column. and take all minus column items under 'less' heading in inner column of that format and write the total in outer column... then for starting balance, add 'add heading' total, deduct 'less heading' total... and you will get final answer...... !!!! It is that simple !!!!! analysis is same as discussed in this video for any methods...
There is no such conditions in preparation of BRS... But if you use this analysis table for analysing what to add and what to deduct, then you have to analyse it in opposite way if they have given passbook balance as starting point in order to get correct answer. and this analysis table is not at all the only way to analyse. There are various ways to analyse what to add and what to deduct. If you understand the logic behind this topic in depth, you can easily analyse what to add or what to deduct without using this table also.. But analysis will be different for all 4 cases as starting point differs. So in order to ease this process, I have introduced this simple table. There is no necessity to learn analysis in all 4 cases if you use this method. Just make same analysis for cashbook as starting point and make opposite analysis for passbook as starting point. It is just a shortcut to remember the points. There is no any particular reasons😊

not for 2nd PU.. but for professional courses like CA, CS you have to study these topics. You can leave rectification topic. but as per my opinion, BRS is very easy topic and it saves your time in exam. because it only takes 2 to 3 minutes to solve and you will get full 12 marks !! only thing is you should know the trick of analysing what to add what to subtract... thats it... I have explained a very easy method for that here. So practice well and do attend this topic 👍
you should not read any topics for 2nd PU purpose or exam purpose. Knowledge is more important than exams. All the topics given in 1st PU are basics. and when basics are strong, your next study will go smoothly. So study all those topics 👍

yes it is trick oriented. but BRS is all about adding or subtracting the transactions to cash book balance. bcz to match it with passbook balance. so your task is just to analyse correctly which one is to be added or which one is to be subtracted. you can choose any of the method to analyse it correctly. The thing is analysis should be correct. I haven't discussed any tricky method here to prepare statement. Statement is prepared in the usual method only.. But to make the analysis simple and easy, I use a table to remember the points. Thats it. So this method is not at all wrong. you can use it. If it is difficult, you can choose the method which is easy for you. ultimately solving correctly is what matters 👍
