I prefer Rachel’s shot. She knows how to look for an unconventional angle and she worked it. It also helps about the fact that the model is sooooo good at what she does.
Merle Schmidt her poses are GREAT but she moves way too quickly. Sometimes the camera misses focus , especially when you're shooting wide open like these guys, so she's just a bit too movey:-)
Most videos of professional models doing shoots I've seen, they do several poses very quickly. She honestly seems to move just about the same as a lot of them I've seen.
Yeah, she's good. The most important is product and she's definitely making it looks even better than it really is. Ladies are looking at the pictures and think "I want this jacket, it looks so stylish". Great work, her and photographers
You could tell the model is very professional since the first moment they laid eyes on the locations she was already scouting it and thinking about the poses she could do with the locations. Shes very expressive and experienced with the poses when rachel showed her what she wanted she gave exactly that. Love it
Great photographers, and those places are not ugly at all, the same colors, the same shapes, kinda patterns. I think that city its not ugly at all. Great video tho.
Locations were not that ugly, clean oder structured backgrounds, matching colours... Rachel did a really great job here, somehow more mature in composition, light and expressions :-)
I think ugly is not the right challenge. What i'd like to see is a challenge outside urban areas but also not cover a breathtaking view. You know your average rural town with 200-1000 citizens where nothing ever happens. I think that would make for a really interesting challenge as it also motivates people who don't live in urban area's to pick up their camera and go for it. I still liked your challenge and it's inspiring to think creative to get the best out of an ugly location but it's also a quick fix to just move a little bit or just turn around to see some cool oldschool or modern urban design. So yeah, the ugly location challenge is all fun but i like to see a bad location challenge
HTC Shades I’ve done a shoot like that. I live in a small super rundown town and that’s all i had to work with. It’s definitely a challenge because there’s not much to small towns to shoot. I’m gonna redo that shoot again but in a slightly bigger city and see what i get
Of course there's such a thing as an ugly person, why do you try to erase us? It shouldn't be viewed as such a negative thing that we have to lie to ourselves. "You're not ugly you just have a... particularly shaped... face. Yeaaah... how about you use some makeup to uhm... hide all of those beautiful flaws of yours? Oh did I say flaws? I just meant... beautifully special features."
The way you see yourself as an ugly person is not right for me. As a appearance you may look less charming than the others but expressing them with ''Ugly'' and serving to the public is not right for me. Ugly is something known ık, I'm not trying to erase it or showing as a negative thing. The word is too strong for a human to see themselves. Personality is a thing at the end.
But this isn't about what's right for you, is it? It's about the judgement we go through for not having the "right" shapes and volumes in our face and body. A very real judgement that feels awful and is dismissed whenever someone claims there is no such thing as an ugly person. But then you turn around to see mockery towards people for not looking the "right" way, and you may upload a picture of yourself just pleasantly existing in this wreirdly shaped body of yours only to find it being torn to pieces by people who think ugly means worthless. Do you understand the cognitive dissonance we go through when we're being told that no, no, we're not ugly... but can I modify everything about me to better fit the standard? Nobody'll find me attractive otherwise. Even the body possitive movement cannot help but shy away from undesirability. Their idol models trying to change society's ideas of beauty? They are traditionaly pretty, their only "flaw" being their weight, and even then it is distributed in a very attractive way. They are stunning women that fit the beauty standard to a T, save for one tiny little detail. The word could be just a neutral adjective not meant to put anybody dow, like saying my hair's brown and my skin is light. So then if anyone wants to hurl abuse my way my body won't be used against me.
ShiRa Malk i dont know why ur getting offended. They were just saying not being socially considered "beautiful" doesn't mean you're ugly. I agree with them. In my opinion, there is no such thing as an ugly person either. everyone is beautiful because they are made the way they are, even if they aren't considered models.
"everyone is beautiful because they are made the way they are" Welcome to the real world where the vast majority doesn't feel this way, the one in which people actually abuse others for being ugly. Even when people aren't trying to be mean their stares become a reminder that you don't look as you "should", so of course I'm gonna be offended by someone claiming everyone's beautiful when many are treated worse due to their looks, you're just ignoring a reality in which people suffer. Would you claim that nobody's fat just because we live in a society that despises fatness? Or do you rather acknowledge that fat people exist and that they are equals who deserve respect like everyone else? Uglyness should be acknowledged much in the same way. Trying to erase it by claiming that everyone's beautiful just feeds this bias that beauty is this supreme trait everyone should aspire to have and that you're less worthy if you don't. Why should we aspire to it? What's so valuable about beauty that everyone freaks out about it? I find it to be pretty worthless, imo, and don't want to be beautiful. The moment I stopped chasing beauty was the moment I started to feel more comfortable with myself. So no, I'm not beautiful! But I am deserving of respect nonetheless.
1. Rachel - i loved the angle 2. Jessica - she maximized the ugliness of that railing unlike rachel it was more of the buildings than using that railings which i think for me is not following the instructions lmao. The model is so down to earth that she kept praising the photographers when she is like 50% of the equation. I love her
Lexi 2568 I put quotations around ugly because I mean ugly as in not societally beautiful. I would find it cool if she took pictures with people that are towards the average spectrum
Lexi 2568 Of course. Watch enough runway shows and you will be surprised that some of them are not that pretty to be a model. It doesn't take the perfect body to be one either, or the perfect face & hair. Everyone can be a model.
This is a great challenge. I really love what Rachel shot. She was able to really pull off a interesting and engaging photos. I think Jessica needs to work a little more to find the shot and work with her composition and cropping in these bad locations. It is a tough challenge for sure.
Wow this turned out to look like some pretty high-end industrial themed shoot! The first challenge I agree seemed easier to work with. I prefered Rachel's images for that one. The 2nd I preferred Jessica's. Nice gritty editing.
“The challenge will be taking something that’s not conventionally pretty and making it look good in pictures” 😂me when I try to make myself look less like an ogre when taking selfies
It should be 'Ich spreche auch Deutsch'. In a simple case like this the conjugated verb should be the second element in the sentence. This is true for most cases with some exceptions such as when the clause follows a subordinating conjunction. Additionally, 'Deutsch' should be capitalised as it is a noun in this case. I think it's safe to assume from these beginner mistakes that you don't actually speak German.
I love how you and your collaborators are always so vocal with the model, complimenting and encouraging them. The models are never a prop! I love hearing about where they're from, and their little quirks.
This works because either they don't show the full ugly stuff in the final photos or they incorporate it in a harmonious way (i.e. color and composition). Model is also killing it! Love this video
Still watching, but it all still looks beautiful Lol. You definitely can make anything look lovely with the right composition. Plus the model, Sasha, is so good. And she's just going from one sleek pose to the next... Y'all are amazing!
Modeling and photography, is such an art. It’s so beautiful and it speaks so many volumes, without any words spoken. It can translate differently to different people, and that’s the beauty in it. The model was so authentic and stunning and the gorgeous photographers, captured her beauty flawlessly.
sasha was sooo amazing! her outfits were from a thrift shop, but she made them look expensive, designer and etc and ofc, s/o to the amazing photographers!! ;) ♥
Elias Taborda I have seen all of her videos of these kinds and they are all white maybe one is Hispanic I requested to see more ethnicities because it’s a challenge, you have to find the right lighting to capture true colours. If Jessica isn’t offended by my comment why are you.?
'when you are seen as naturally weird by every around and now is your time to shine' - I think that she has done a great job and even flow with her environment with much out much pointers. As a photographer, you can actually take some of her poses as your own. With that being said, I love the way that she is not shy for the camera and naturally poses on her own. This cuts back so much time of getting in to it. And so much creativity behind it. I wish almost everyone was like this.
Großen Respekt an das Model, wirklich! Schön zu sehen, wie aus diesen eher unansprechenden Plätzen wundervolle Fotos entstehen! Hab ja gehört, ihr könnt euch die Kommentare übersetzen lassen😂😂
I've been waiting for this for so long. When I found out You three were in the same country I was like "there's gotta be something" and then this came out. The difference between you and Rachel are so big 😂 you're so hype and agitated and she's so calm and innocent 😂 and yet I love you both. This is amazing. you did such a good job. I love this.
Rachel won that one. I think she compressed more the background and that made the model definitely pop out. And she paid attention to symmetry, horizontal and vertical lines on the background! Amazing! But if put in one album, randomly I wouldn't know that was shot by two different people. I definitely wouldn't be able to tell the difference. You both did a very good job. 1. You guys are really really good at this! Never knew pictures from a place like this would be so amazing 2. The model did a terrific job of posing and love her confidence throughout the shoot
I have a challenge for you 😊 Ugly Location ✓ Bad Camera ✓ Awkward Model or Bad photographer ✓ (Or Good Photographer and not a professional Model) Because for me that's my Problem for photos.. wahahah
Dude that model has so much confidence and some next level skills. Best person to work with.
now i see what "a professional model" means
Go watch Coco Rocha 😉
Yeah super impressive, a moving work of art
The model was amazinggggg she gave so many different poses
Yeah omg👍
Marissa Sustic she has so many poses but she changes her poses before the photographer even captures it lol
she was like GET WIERD i love it
I prefer Rachel’s shot. She knows how to look for an unconventional angle and she worked it. It also helps about the fact that the model is sooooo good at what she does.
I like how Rachel photos have so much more movement ^^
Literally
@@DNdavidsonsnation which picture not straightened?
Let's talk about how great Sasha is modeling
Merle Schmidt her poses are GREAT but she moves way too quickly. Sometimes the camera misses focus , especially when you're shooting wide open like these guys, so she's just a bit too movey:-)
4;
I know, right! She is such a pro!
It's all perspective, beauty being in the eye of the beholder
Most videos of professional models doing shoots I've seen, they do several poses very quickly. She honestly seems to move just about the same as a lot of them I've seen.
The model is so good
honestly when rachel went 'oh can you try to be weird' and sasha just kiiiiillled it.
Sebastian Frank dude ,you probably don't even know her.
So profeshhh
Yeah, she's good. The most important is product and she's definitely making it looks even better than it really is. Ladies are looking at the pictures and think "I want this jacket, it looks so stylish". Great work, her and photographers
Sasha is such a good model. She's so awesome
I think the one who won was the model, she was legitimately, non-lipservice here, amazing.
You could tell the model is very professional since the first moment they laid eyes on the locations she was already scouting it and thinking about the poses she could do with the locations. Shes very expressive and experienced with the poses when rachel showed her what she wanted she gave exactly that. Love it
the model is pretty af
I know right
Yess
that's kind of what they do
you copied my profile picture ;-; xd
This was so fun! Obsessed with your shots of Sasha sitting on the ground! 🙏
Mango Street Yaaayy love you all so muchhh❤❤❤
Loving this collab of my fav photographer youtubers💓
Thanks so much for being apart of it
Wow you both make it look so easy. Some great work! :)
It shows! The excitement splashes off the screen :)
It'd be cool if you did a challenge where the model picks the location
Great photographers, and those places are not ugly at all, the same colors, the same shapes, kinda patterns. I think that city its not ugly at all. Great video tho.
First location is like pure perfect matte black background.
The model who speaks a bunch of languages is soooooooo prefessional during the shooting!!! Love her!!!
ThE locaTi0ns wereN't even uGly😩😤 HAHA kidding you guys both did so amazing!!
lolol
Brandon Woelfel IKR.
Lol💙
I'M DEAD
HAHAHAHAHAHA lmfao
the model is so ferocious!! i love her! so cooperative
Locations were not that ugly, clean oder structured backgrounds, matching colours... Rachel did a really great job here, somehow more mature in composition, light and expressions :-)
The model is so tall
Orrrr they're so short!!
Models are usually like 5’7 so it might be that the photographers are like 5’4/5’5 and the model 5’9 making her seem like a giant
Louise Blair Please use metric system
Sara Cristina ikr
the model is a model lol
Why do I see aesthetics in those "ugly" places😄😷
same
A. K. Me
Same here!! I was just like "no they aren't ugly if anything they kinda fit a grungy, urban aesthetic."
A. K. Saammmee, basically nothing is ugly
OKG ME

_THE MODEL CRUSHED IT_
There is no such thing as an ''Ugly'' person but i think you should try to this with someone who's not model within a beautiful location.

I’d almost say 70% in that setting, she killed it!
Ever thought of taking photos of "ugly" models or people who aren't models? It'd be cool to see how you communicate with them
Tolo Twin no offence but I don't think that people who aren't models are " ugly"
Lexi 2568 I put quotations around ugly because I mean ugly as in not societally beautiful. I would find it cool if she took pictures with people that are towards the average spectrum

bASED I totally agree.
JESSICA YOU STAY POPPIN IN EVERY VIDEO, YOU KILLED THIS CHALLENGE BOO
The model really talented! She doing a non-basic pose in every photo . Good job guys! ❤
The model is pretty she make the "ugly" locations look good
This is a great challenge. I really love what Rachel shot. She was able to really pull off a interesting and engaging photos. I think Jessica needs to work a little more to find the shot and work with her composition and cropping in these bad locations. It is a tough challenge for sure.
Jessica's shots rule!
Steward Noack Yeah Jessica usually plays it safe and goes for the simple poses while they guys at Mango Street really try different things
Jessica: *forgets to take of lens' cap* "I am professional, I swear." 😂😂😂😂 so cute.
Sasha did an amazing job and you managed to work with the locations really well. Very nice video.
Wow this turned out to look like some pretty high-end industrial themed shoot!
The first challenge I agree seemed easier to work with. I prefered Rachel's images for that one. The 2nd I preferred Jessica's. Nice gritty editing.
I love this challenge! You don't always need pretty backgrounds for great shots.. gives your work an urban, industrial feel.
the model was amazing! so versatile and beautiful and obviously you photographers were totally feeling it and vibing!
She was an Amazing model!
I almost screamed when I saw this collaboration! Your two channels are my ultimate favorites!!!!
MANGO STREET
“The challenge will be taking something that’s not conventionally pretty and making it look good in pictures” 😂me when I try to make myself look less like an ogre when taking selfies
LOL i relate to this
Jessica you're so creative always coming up with interesting concepts! I really enjoyed this video and I love Rachel's style, very unique! 💕
thank you so much beautiful!! miss you!!!
You're so welcome, miss you too!!! It was such an awesome experience to meet you! Hopefully we can work together one day!
Sasha is so beautiful and so sweet!! and a great model wow
"If the model gets to sit, you know I'm gonna sit!"
Awesome job, very inspiring.
Ugly?? That still looks better than my messy room. 😶
Ikr 😂😂
Me too
Two different unique styles that are absolutely brilliant and amazing together!!!! Talent!!!
I love how innovative your video ideas are ☺️✨💛 Ich spreche auch deutsch
It should be 'Ich spreche auch Deutsch'. In a simple case like this the conjugated verb should be the second element in the sentence. Nick Browne it was a silly mistake and I am still learning but I do speak german a little and understand it
Sorry if my reply came off as snarky. Good luck learning german
Nick Browne no problem and thanks for correcting me ☺️
+Nick Browne alles klar😂
I love how you and your collaborators are always so vocal with the model, complimenting and encouraging them. The models are never a prop! I love hearing about where they're from, and their little quirks.
loved this collab and the ugly challenge type of videos, please do more! also lens cap removal "i'm professional, i swear" is too cute
I am from Estonia! Great to see an Estonia and hear a familiar language too!
Great video you guys!
I saw this and came straight away. Because I am the queen of taking photos in shitty areas 🤣
This works because either they don't show the full ugly stuff in the final photos or they incorporate it in a harmonious way (i.e. color and composition). Model is also killing it! Love this video
Can you do a smartphone vs dslr vid? How are camera phones taking better pictures then our cameras?
I have that coming up :) It's been recorded! I just have to edit it, I'm sooo behind with my videos haha
Jessica Kobeissi thank you your so awesome and down to earth love your videos 4ever
you're soooo incredibly sweet! thank YOU!!
Jessica Kobeissi oooo hurry and edit pls!!😬😩 lol
I can answer that they aren't
This collab is heaven!!!
Try the beautiful location, ugly model challenge. That's a proper challenge.
or try ugly location, ugly model, and ugly camera
I don't think anyone would want to be in a video that says ugly model so...
Because no one is ugly ^-^
canturgan that would be rude but a random person who doesnt work could be cool
Maybe you could do it if you're not busy.
Do more of these videos! I love the challenges! So inspiring!
HOLY SHITT 😩😩😩 BEST COLLAB OF THE YEAR 😍😍🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯
love the pictures, the model is SO pretty and shes SO good at posing wtf! awesome
The model is so sweet love her!!!
Still watching, but it all still looks beautiful Lol. You definitely can make anything look lovely with the right composition. Plus the model, Sasha, is so good. And she's just going from one sleek pose to the next... Y'all are amazing!
The model plus the photographer did the photos beautiful despite of the bg !!
Modeling and photography, is such an art. It’s so beautiful and it speaks so many volumes, without any words spoken. It can translate differently to different people, and that’s the beauty in it. The model was so authentic and stunning and the gorgeous photographers, captured her beauty flawlessly.
They should try and shoot in my room lmao, it's so messy there and the room is pretty dark too
sasha was sooo amazing! her outfits were from a thrift shop, but she made them look expensive, designer and etc
and ofc, s/o to the amazing photographers!! ;) ♥
Don't think it matters if a place is ugly when you just blur the shit out of everything hahaha
exactly! they're post work is shit!
why do you think this has anything to do with post-processing?
I'm in love with those challenges, you two are so so talented, it's so pleasing to see the results!
Happy Birthday Jessica! 💕🎉
sasha honestly might be the most beautiful person i’ve ever seen
such a great model!
love love love the personalities
You should do a shoot where the model is the photographer
Love Sasha! See is such a sport, photographers dream. Beautiful!
Can you shoot with other ethnicities?
omg just shut up, don't be racist
Miranda Celis García that’s not racist idiot ..
Lemon Lee where ?
Elias Taborda I have seen all of her videos of these kinds and they are all white maybe one is Hispanic I requested to see more ethnicities because it’s a challenge, you have to find the right lighting to capture true colours. If Jessica isn’t offended by my comment why are you.?
Elias Taborda links?
I adore your content!! your concepts and photos are beautiful and so fun!!!
That "I'm professional I swear" 😂
My favorite video, so far!! Love both of your photos
okay but how amazing was that model
Amazing pictures! Sasha did really great as well! I always love watching your work Jess!
One word...
Beautiful😍
'when you are seen as naturally weird by every around and now is your time to shine' - I think that she has done a great job and even flow with her environment with much out much pointers. As a photographer, you can actually take some of her poses as your own. With that being said, I love the way that she is not shy for the camera and naturally poses on her own. This cuts back so much time of getting in to it. And so much creativity behind it. I wish almost everyone was like this.
the "I dont get it" is soooo awkward
Großen Respekt an das Model, wirklich! Schön zu sehen, wie aus diesen eher unansprechenden Plätzen wundervolle Fotos entstehen! Hab ja gehört, ihr könnt euch die Kommentare übersetzen lassen😂😂
rachel's direction tho!
She is such an amazing model! I love how smooth her transitioning was in between poses. So flawless..
Omg y'all in Sweden *starts singing Swedens national anthem* and I'm btw stealing all of the background ideas for my insta❤️❤️
True😂 its not that ugly. But i love watching your videos
And btw, Happy bday!
In Russia this locations will be the most sweety location ever, and they will be the most popular for photographers.
So... what what about trip in Russia, in Novosibirsk city? It is the fckng ugly city, but it is the third bigest city in Russia.
It will be great chalenge to you!)
Sasha is beautiful and Rachel’s style is my cup of tea. Loved this video.
you people did a horrible job at finding a horrible location. And the photographs were awesome :D
Great to watch Sasha. Amazing model!!
I LOVE THE MODEL OMGG😭😭♥️!!

Mango street... my dreams just came true
1. You guys are really really good at this! Never knew pictures from a place like this would be so amazing

Amazing model, knowing exactly how to move. Impressed.

Mango Street are the best Couple Photographers :)
Great results, I love Rachel's style.
I have a challenge for you 😊

Woah that model is inpressive. She knows what to dooo
